*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (4 Viewers)

59 scored against a total of 47 in the fake pro bowl* might be hammer time if I see that again

*I assume that’s what it was, it was lined AFC vs NFC but I didn’t watch

Crushing Australian horse racing.  Didn’t actually know they run counterclockwise
Like for real?

I always thought it might be crack that would one day take over my life, little did I know it was actually  24/7 Moscow LIGA table tennis.  DARE program forgot to mention that one.

Dipping my toes into predictit.org, I think there's value on Cuomo at $0.05 and Clinton at $0.04 (relative to $1) as the Democratic Presidential Nominee. $850 limit, but I think there's some value here. Biden is struggling, and with Bernie suspending but collecting delegates if he were to win them and Obama not endorsing his former VP I think this is a solid play.

Heres some horse matchups I like today at gulfstream starting with Race 4

Reiterate faded like a cheap suit, 0-1

Agreed. There is nothing American about 2-1 favorites coming home at this stage in the race.

No joke.

seems like Disney and ESPN were worried about the backlash.
Only because certain members of the MMA media took it upon themselves to stage a crusade against this from happening with the disguised sole purpose of drawing attention to themselves.

Every open convenience and grocery store in this country is currently a greater threat to public health than what this would have been.

Economically we are setting ourselves back hundreds of millions more.

ordered some crickets and mealworms for my lizard from this new website. they also had some Mexican jumping beans and they came with a board where they jump to certain numbers. whos down to live bet on Mexican jumping beans

What kind of lizard?

Crickets smell and mealworms have a lot of undigestable parts.  You just happen to be talking to the roach king of Wisconsin.

my daughter was gifted a leopard gecko for her birthday. so of course now i have a pet lizard

its actually pretty cool - at first i wasn't interested because its more responsibility for me
My son wanted a bearded dragon from Christmas a few years ago, a few reptile shows later and I have a half dozen of the fancy color morphs.

Then I got into dubia roaches and I have no idea how many there are, but enough to eat about 8 pounds of produce a day.  Dubia's are expensive in the store, but they don't smell or climb or do anything nasty.  PM me your address and I ship you whatever you want.  Sounds like dime size or smaller should work, food supposed to be half the size of their head.

but yeah, #### crickets.  They are so nasty.

Will be able to gamble on this? We better be able to gamble on this.

All-Stars Chris Paul and Trae Young headline first-ever NBA HORSE Challenge

ESPN, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) today announced that 10-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder, 2020 NBA All-Star Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and newly elected Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings headline the list of eight NBA and WNBA players and legends who will participate in the new NBA HORSE Challenge Presented by State Farm, exclusively on ESPN and streamed via the ESPN App.

Beginning Sunday, April 12 at 7 p.m. ET, Paul, Young, Catchings, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine, three-time WNBA All-Star Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky, Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley Jr. and NBA Finals MVPs Chauncey Billups and Paul Pierce will match shots against one another in a single-elimination HORSE competition from their respective, isolated home courts. ESPN NBA commentator Mark Jones will serve as the official host.

No worries!

bunmer we aren’t getting fight island
I blame Luke Thomas and Trent Reinsmith.

Is fight Island for sure not a thing for next month?  I was understanding that it was Tachi Palace for this event and the island was going to be ready for next month to start holding weekly events.

I've blocked most of the MMA media outlets in response to this.  I mean as a public company,  Endeavor does have a duty to its stockholders and if they don't hold 42 events this year they will lose a $750 million dollar bonus from ESPN.  Knowing how the UFC operates, those chips were definitely counted at the table when they budgeted for this year.

So if we aren't getting an island, I guess it's time we get to work on that moon base.

The pearl clutching over CV is beyond ridiculous as it relates to sports (I won't get into the rest of it).  I heard Steve Sands - who I really like - from Golf Channel on Kornheiser earlier this week say he couldn't see how we could possibly have any sporting events while people are still dying of this virus.  Not because of danger, but because of how it looks, the priority it reveals.  So to him we have elevated this virus to the most important thing in the world indefinitely.  It's ok to have sporting events while people are dying of cancer, or heart issues, or drunk drivers, or the flu.  But if anyone is still getting this virus sports should be off of the table.  Just insane.

I think the apples/oranges is those things aren't contagious and haven't brought the whole world to a stand still.

While I may be a bit more loose in thinking we could have some sports in some fashion this summer/falll....it is going to take a ballsy commish or board to step up and out and say....here is our plan while not easy or full proof its an informed decision/risk we are taking

No one thinks we should fill up stadiums with 100,000 fans and just go forward with business as usual.  The flip side that we should huddle in our homes in fear in perpetuity if this virus is active at all is just as ridiculous.  I agree, it will take a ballsy leader who is willing to withstand the doomers' protests and move forward with a smart, workable plan.

Bought a $20 lizard at petco and thought the bugs seemed overpriced, now there are probably 200,000+ roaches in bins in my basement.

I have a personality flaw where I can't dabble in anything.  For better or worse.

Holy cow - I hope for your sake, those bad boys do not get out!  I can appreciate that "personality" and understand that all too well.  The good news is that you are self aware and understand your flat sides. ( We all have them, some of us are just better at admitting it to ourselves and others)  Maybe you could stream roach racing from your basement and offer parimutuel wagering on the same!

I don't mention them on my online dating profiles.

But overall, they are lot less hassle than Toby the wallaby was.

:lmao:

Found out today I’m getting a 20% paycut for at least 3 months :kicksrock:

will get it as backpay Q1 of 2021 so not a complete loss but still sucks.  Good thing there’s nothing good to gamble on right now

My company is 100% furloughing most and I escaped with a 25% furlough so once a month no work for a week and I file unemployment.  My job is pretty heavy automotive so I'm happy with only 25% at this time.

Yeah I did something similar to that back in 2009, was nice at least getting unemployment

but I think given the choice I’d rather get the full back pay next year that the unemployment now.  Stimulus check will make up for a lot of it, although I was planning to buy some new appliances and patio furniture with that

gonna just treat my back pay as my bonus next year, although I guess that wasn’t explicitly stated that we won’t get one, but I’m not counting on it

honestly happy to just be employed and getting a regular check with all that’s going on

Exactly what we're considering, now is the time since we're home for the next few months.  How's it going?
good.. Cute little puppy.. no shed so good for me with allergies/asthma. Supposed to be really smart and really good with kids and good family dogs.  We got the medium size, imagine he will be 45-50 pounds

we're typically 7 days a week multiple sports, like get home 3:45- eat dinner by 4:30 out the door by 5 and wife has 1 and I have the other and meet back up at 8:30 or something.  Zero possibility with that schedule.  But perfect time right now.  Doing fun puppy things like playing with the boys, biting everything, chewing on everything, about a 75-80% pee outside rate, and a 95% poop outside and its 10 weeks old now

Live horse racing on fs1 til 7 pm
If you have a ROKU you can download TVG for free. Don't even need an account there. It has TVG, TVG2, and a Racebook with 5 tracks going at once,  plus you can scroll down and get individual racetrack feeds assuming you don't live in a stupid nanny state like Arizona that acts like it invented bald eagles and Freedom but won't let you make wagers online and gets into disputes that prevent awesome services like TVG from showing me all the tracks or even betting on them over the damn touch tone system that's the only at-home version they allow!

Not that I'm bitter. I'm fine. Everything is fine. How are you?

Hit a nice trifecta in the 7th at Oaklawn but haven't done much else.  11th race 4/5/6 exa box--two big longshots in there.
