***Official Game Thread*** - Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts (1 Viewer)

I won't be around to post inactives, so someone grab them and post them here.

TIA.

Enjoy the game folks - should be a good one.

My pick: Colts 20, Ravens 17.

I'll be at the game so everyone look for a fat guy 15 rows up at the goalline. Hopefully, you'll see me a lot when the Colts have the ball! :goodposting:

Colts inactives:

PK Adam Vinatieri, TE Colin Cloherty, DL Ervin Baldwin, DL Fili Moala, DL John Gill, OL Michael Toudouze, OG Mike Pollak, WR Sam Giguere.

Ravens inactives:

John Beck (third QB), OT David Hale, WR Justin Harper, SS Keith Fitzhugh, DL Kelly Talavou, SS Marcus Paschal, DL Paul Kruger, OT Tony Moll.

So nothing exciting here. Stover and the Colts go up against their ex.

Prediction: Ravens 20, Colts 17.
LOFL...right and the fact the Jets are mathmatically alive to host the AFC Final next week plays no part in your prediction. I heard you were pretty hyped in Vegas last week Chase.Colts are going to destroy Baltimore, the same way NO tore apart AZ. Indy 34Balt 17

Got nothing to do with it. I've been saying for awhile I think the Ravens and Cowboys are the best two teams in the league.

No surprise that Gaither, Heap, and the other banged up Ravens are going to give it a go. Gaither's going to need a lot of help slowing Freeney down, regardless of Gaither's health. Heap is intriguing to me because he wasn't used much in the first matchup. He could cause some trouble in the red zone.

Any thoughts on the Colts rust factor?

I've been saying for awhile I think that stuff is highly overrated, despite all the people who like to point out the Colts playoff failures following byes. We saw what NO did today; I sort of expect Indy to come out hot, too.

Thoughts?

As a Ravens fan, I appreciate the announcers proclaiming the stat that the Colts were the #1 team in opening drive TDs. Just in time to stall the drive.

Very impressed with Cam Cameron so far. Sticking to the running game but taking their spots with Flacco.

Rust is over rated. The best team will win.J

I really hope if the Colts lose this game people don't blame them for going into a shell the last week and a half of the season. Manning looks as sharp as ever out there, and the defense looks just about normal, too. :goodposting:

It's something of a relief to find a game where there isn't a multiple-touchdown deficit by the end of the 1st quarter.

Agreed. But you know if Indy loses, all we'll hear is "rust". And I think those people will be wrong. If they lose, it'll be that their total dependence on Manning finally ran out. (I agree with the radio guys on that point)J

Yeah. I wouldn't exactly call Indy smoke and mirrors, but their 25 or whatever game winning streak was pretty incredible for a team that IMO mostly has a star QB and two great pass rushers. They have other good players but they've got way more holes than you'd ever think a team that could win so many games could have.Flacco looked great but I expect Balt to pound the running game for most of the rest of this game.

GB, I do think they're smoke and mirrors. But not really deceptive - it's clear they are just all about Manning. They are totally one dimensional in that regard. And I hate W-L to judge how strong a team is. Obviously, that's the bottom line thing but it can be really deceptive I think. They skated by on multiple games just barely pulling out the win. I like Manning but I really do think the team isn't nearly as good as the hype.J

I like the way they kept 18 on the bench for 7 minutes but the Ratbirds need sixes, not threes.
Et tu? Worst nickname ever.
The folks in Westminister are still bitter that the team wasn't named the Rhinos.
What's scarier, a crash of rhinos or a murder of ravens?
Congress of ravens. Much less scary.J
A funny conspiracy that this link exists.
