Don't waste your time with him. He disappeared for about 6 months like a baby after the Seahawks got bounced in the playoffs in 2012 after spouting off the whole season. He wouldn't man-up then, so I wouldn't expect him to man-up if they lost next week.

You do realize anyone can be a fan of any team they like? You are not getting ahead in life just because you arbitrarily root for the Seahawks. If your fan base had any appreciation for the history of the game you would enjoy what will be a short lived ride in the grand scheme of things. I have to agree with your post 100%.

Look, the Seahawks were totally impressive last night. They were dominant on both offense and on defense and really do look like early favorites to go back to the Super Bowl. So all respect goes to that football team, that is showing NO signs of a Super Bowl hangover.

That said, some of these statements coming from their fans are really telling. I'm not sure how to say this but there is just a difference between "smack talk between guys" and "being an obnoxious ashhole.." (So don't give me that, we're just confident BS...you can be confident, even talk smack, and still not be such an insufferable deekhead.") It's too bad that GB fan wasn't a Philly fan or that 12er would have got punched, or worse.

Good game Hawks. Of coarse I wish it went differently, but quality play. I got my FF points off Lynch, but is negated against my Rodger's points. GB's defense looked like it has in the past couple of years, porous.

Harvin looked fantastic. Wish I would have drafted him. Great play calling from the Hawks. We'll see you again in the playoffs, but great win.

I tend to agree with you actually but I don't think this is anything new - nor a Seattle thing nor a Seahawk thing - it's just how we are today in sports, politics, etc... The part that I don't agree with though is that most long time Seahawk fans DO respect the game and other franchises around the NFL (well maybe not the 49ers). You're judging based on a small minority, that based on where you're encountering them (the internet) - happen to be the ones that are most likely to be most obnoxious.

fair enough, but I said I would be the first one on here if Seattle loses…and the fact is, it's the muted backhanded remarks that tick off fans. This is a fantasy site, and their comments in those forums I respect - in a game vs real fans teams - well, I take exception to the blanket comments about fan bases. I think people don't like a winner in general - especially brash team like Seattle. Muhammad Ali was polarizing when he fought, now he's beloved. Bottom line, get over the fact Seattle is in it's glory period…some teams have them. Human nature to try and stamp down on it when it's not your own.

Agreed. There was a girl on local sports talk yesterday here in Nashville. She will be doing the entertainment portion of Thursday night games. She is orginally from Seattle and it humble and grateful at the same time. True Seattle people have had years of scorning and to be defending champions are happy and humble.

Internet people are different. A lot of Seatlle fans are arogant, like they have been here many times. It's kind of sad. And I truely feel bad that their lives only depend on belittling others.

I would more appreciate friendly banter, with internet guys go beyond banter. Again so sad. I really feel bad for the people that their egos depend on winning a thread argument, because most of these guys really put up some good insight if you take a step back from the crap.

Dude. Not that big of deal. If you were the one that makes them exert their exuberance, then they have other problems in their lives to deal with. It was a good game. The Packers lost. Losing Baluga is our biggest concern because they didn't have a stand up backup to fill in. I'll give Ha Ha a pass because of first game as a rookie, but his tackling abilities sucked. Defense is not fixed. Even with the healthy and upgrades, they seemed out of place. I was giving the DC a pass because of injuries last year, but it really looked like Capers didn't have a clue on what protection to call. I'm not a coach or could do better, but there were a couple of plays where I shook my head.

Side note. The walk around defense. Did they show that during preseason? Because I missed it. It worked out for the single play they ran it on, but is that something in the future or just a gimic?

Packers D pretty much sucked, but that doesn't make your team great. We were just outmatched. Packers remind me of the old Peyton Colts teams..no defense, but as long as offense can outscore, then we win. Packers didn't outscore, but not putting Hawks as greatest team ever either.

I think Sherrod is an ok backup...not great. But better than they had in Barclay.

I understand ITS gets under your skin - he does me too occasionally. Your comments towards him are laced with nothing but smug, indiferrent comments. I admit, the Seahawks are much better at playing football than the fans are at rooting for them.

Sherman only playing on one side of the ball will be exploited like last night. Packers put the scrub on that side of the field.

Packers D pretty much sucked, but that doesn't make your team great. We were just outmatched. Packers remind me of the old Peyton Colts teams..no defense, but as long as offense can outscore, then we win. Packers didn't outscore, but not putting Hawks as greatest team ever either.
