Was playing SP last night, collected all 50 letter scraps. Have not had a chance to complete the new unlocked mission yet. Any good?

Tip for online. The race "Down the Drain" is a great way to level up and get cash fast. You get lots of EXP and even last place typically pulls in 3K. Race only takes 90 minutes if set to 1 lap. Much better rate of return than the prison loop that everyone is constantly doing.
been trying to finish up SP, sorry I haven't joined up online.

(also, I still need to send my man-cave hoggin MIL packing - I am microphone compromised in my current setup).

I won't be playing for next two weeks as I devour food in EPCOT, but I got some time in last night replaying SP and just got the first assassination done. Mike now has like 1.4 mil, Frankling has about 700 and Trevor has about 300. Not enought to buy anything but enough to start upgrading weapons. I did start the UFO pieces mission and along with the letter pieces I think I am going to slow down the story line now and focus on those two things. In doing it, I will get those two long #### things done, explore the whole map, probably get all the side thief and friend missions done and maybe get a property or two that can help make some money before I get back to the main story.

Or not.

question re: how much SP I have left:

I just got to the part were Trevor goes back to town from the opening scene and digs up Michael's/Brad's grave. How much do I have left?

This clean lap thing looks interesting. I'll be on again tonight if anyone wants to just powerlevel.

*There is a mission that opens up at level 75 that pays 25K and takes 30 seconds if you do it the fast way. Would like to get up that high to exploit it while its still possible.

there is still a fair amount left to deal with. That mission is fun though with all the hinese guys coming at you. I had to do it a few times. Once you get back to town there are a few FIB missions I believe and some other stuff. It takes awhile for Trevor and Michael to hook up again to get the final heist going.
If you look at the states page in the start menu it will tell you how many main story line missions you have left - there are 69 total.

Thanks.

And yes, the escape part of that mission was a chore. I thought they'd keep respawning so I tried to shoot my way out the first few times. Eventually learned the guys stop spawning after awhile.

I know you are on Xbox so maybe it isn't the same, but no missions give full money every time anymore on PS. There are 25k jobs, but you only get that payday once and then it's half every other time.

There is also another glitch that people are exploiting to sell cars for a bunch of money. Guys are making like 5 mill a night. Pretty lame.

Yeah, the mission I'm referring to isn't a glitch, its just really easy. Its like Rooftop Brawl or something.

Those guys glitching the cars are going to get banned apparently.

I keep telling them that, but easy money... shrug.

There is a slightly more legit way of doing the car glitch thing that doesn't involve cheating as much that I was doing yesterday. You can spawn in someone else's personal vehicle at the end of some missions. If these cars are stolen and suped up (not bought from the internet/phone) you can take them after the mission and put a personal tracker on them and make them yours. With all the fixins they can be worth upwards of 90k.

Rooftop brawl is quick and easy but you "only" get 12.5k for it after the first time (not the first time necessarily, you have to be at the minimum level that it opens to you to get the full payday)... at least on PS3

I guess it's been there since the beginning, but only yesterday did someone show me the bank that you can go into. There's nothing going on in it at all, but it's a beautiful building and you can kind of get an idea of how the heists will be for it. Gets me super excited for the first DLC pack.

Most of you are way ahead of me.

I am stuck and am getting frustrated. The jewelry store hiest. I cased out the joint and found the access point on the roof.

I'm told Lester will get back to me. But he never has. I have zero missions I can access. I am simply driving around waiting.

Where did I screw up? Thanks.
You should have a mission to go back as Michael and do something with your kids at the house. That was the only thing that stood in the way for me. After that, setting up the heist will require you to do two more missions both have an "H" on the map to show you where to go - steal a chemical agent and steal a truck. Once you finish the second H setup mission you automatically go to a movie cut screen that starts the heist.

So, either go to Michael's house or see if there are any H things on your map to go to.

This doesn't appear to be the problem. A quick Google search found a lot of people having this issue.

yup. I level up every 2 or 3 races doing this. Level 50 now.
He says set lap count to 2. You've done it with 3 or 4 in the past. Thoughts?

I haven't had that particular issue, but two times in single player I had to go back to previous saves and replay missions I had already completed. One time I remember was when I was setting up for the FIB raid. I swiped the fire truck and had to avoid the cops. I was near the textile factory anyway, so I decided that the tunnel where you leave the truck was as good a place as any to avoid the cops. The stars faded and I left the fire truck, but the game thought I still needed to get the truck. But if I swiped another truck, for some reason, it wouldn't let me take it to the stash point. I eventually had to go back to an earlier save.

I had this happen too, but as I recall it was later in the game. I found online that I had to have Franklin take a cab to a point on the map, I found the answer on Yahoo answers, but I think its captured here too: http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/200215897-GTA-V-STUCK-without-MISSIONS

I just remembered, it happened again after I'd finished the final mission. It kept showing one mission left for Franklin, but none showed up on the map. Turns out I'd forgotten to return a call to Tonya.

Depends on the lowest level guy's level.Personally, at 3 i get max experience.

Oh, and buy yourself an Akuma and pimp it out. It makes the races go faster when the bikes are faster. You also don't need to brake on bikes on that course.

Restarted SP yesterday. So much more fun whacking cops because you need guns or hitting an armored car because you need the money. Completed the jewelry store job and unlocked Trevor last night. I forgot that he starts out with over 100 grand.

I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Super Metroid.

Wait, are you saying choice A can be undone by redoing the Jewelry Heist? I chose C and have full Trevor, but my son went A and has been bummed ever since. I don't have an online account, but have enjoyed endless "missions" that create themselves just roaming the map. Homemade Trevor rampages with the tank or the attack chopper are my favorites. I like to use the attack chopper to shoot down a blimp, see how many police helicopters I can take our before they disable the chopper, parachute into Merriweather HQ and fight my way out with a mini gun and then scramble to either my hangar and fire up the tank or to the dock to the boat. With Trevor owning the scrapyard, these hospital fees are more than financed by my carnage.

ETA, I guess I don't know how to use the spoiler box. If my initial sentence is a spoiler, someone please let me know and I'l edit or delete the post.

I started over completely from the opening credits. Franklin's tow truck jobs, Michael's stolen boat, all of it.

You can replay options A and B after you finish the game. I just assume everyone picks C.
interesting.

Just finished last night. I took my time with it and really dug the characters and story, but the end seemed a bit rushed. Literally rushed.

New update went live to online last night.

Upside: All the new clothes/tattoos/hairstyles are free.

Downside: Racing is completely nerfed. They now pay $ and RP based on how long the average time for the race takes. This means criminal records pays like $300 to first place instead of $3500. Deathmatches and skydives are now also time based for payouts. Looks like missions are once again where the money is.

Still replaying SP. Trevor met the cult guy but I accidentally bumped into him while he was talking to me - now I can't get on the website. Did I lock myself out of that side mission now?

Dowloaded the beach pack last night. Broken bottle is now a melee weapon. Some new clothes and stuff to do at the beach. Didn't look at all of it yet.

Still having a ton of fun focusing on everything I can but the main mission.

i am having so much fun playing this game. i waste an hour here and there. i just spent 20 minutes doing the first airplane mission trying to fly under every bridge, some dont even count towards the under brisge total.

i am only like 20% done but i waste time with ATV races, truck races etc

i know every one has done it, i stole a jet and landed it going to michaels

so question, i did all the things in flight school but didnt get anything... do i need all golds pr something
