Deisel, AG, Paper Denim, Seven and Jetlag. I actually own nothing but designer denim. With Paper Denim you have to weed through some jeans to find the gems. Seven is getting a bit played out but I think the thicker denim works well in the winter. Jetlag makes some  jeans but are pretty pricey. True Religion? I've never bought them. I don't dig the pockets and I had a women at a store that sold them tell me to never buy them because they fall apart easy. AG's are made by Adriano Goldshmeid the original denim designer for Diesel. They are also made in the USA. The ones that are "on" are money. I spend a lot of kibbee on my Jeans but it pays out in dividends. Call me gay, call me whatever you'd like. The bottom line is they feel awesome, look great, accentuate the package, and hot chicks notice them. I would never go back.
Girl's opinion: AG and Paper Denim are
Yeah? I've never even heard of these things. Man I am out of it.I may need to spring for a pair of $200 jeans one of these days.

Yup...very different style...did not see a single shirt in that group that I would consider wearing. And sure as hell am not spening $40 on a ####ing printed T-shirt.
We need a "non-cack sucking guys, please don't bother posting in here" smilie.
Fixed
Why are you so angry? We are just young, single guys trying to pick up ladies. Don't you have a lawn to mow or mother in law to feed or something?Sheesh.
Angry? Nothing to be angry about. I think its hilarious that anyone would spend that on a pair of jeans and care that much what other people think about them.Nope...lawn was mowed last night and the mother in law can feed herself (and is 3 hours away).

But I do have a wife to go impregnate so....
Now thas a Sig Alert. Why is it hilarious when you buy 100.00 shoes????
I don't know...what do you think is hilarious about keeping your feet and knees healthy? Jeans serve no purpose except to look "cool". I don't spend extra on shoes just because some guy on the internet thinks they are cool.

wow, who pissed in your cornflakes?

Did you look at the back pockets? You may as well stick a cack in your mouf right now.
Actually a VERY good posting. I hadn't noticed that. I was just looking at the wash/fit/fall from the front. I would never buy jeans with those pockets. Too girly.
 Just stick with Diesels Otis, best jeans I have ever owned.
I tell you, man, I am pretty happy with the Macy's purchased Ralph Laurens, Mavi's, etc. They are cheap and look traditional but have the cool finish/fit and fall properly down on the shoes. And they're like 60 bucks. The catch is they can be hit-and-miss -- some of the styles are pretty awful, so you have to find the right ones. The next good jeans I find, I'm buying like 4 pairs, because right now I have one favorite pair of jeans that I wear al weekend, every weekend. I have 3 or so other decent pairs, but I never wear them.

Seems the other way around...alot of hostility towards me because I find it foolish to spend that much money on jeans because someone else thinks they are cool.

Do it Otis. I get compliments from the ladies all the time with my diesels. You paid $200+ for a bottle of wine at a restaurant to impress a lady, don't see why you are holding back now.

This is an EXCELLENT point.

Get to it sparky. If we start a thread on how to pick up chicks in the 1990's, we'll be sure to send you an urgent PM
If you have to rely on spending that much on jeans to pick up girls...you are doing something wrong.
I like when the guy in line at Old Navy is telling me I am doing something wrong.
The guy who landed a great woman for my wife. Yup...must have done something right...and did not have to spend $200 for a pair of jeans to get her to like me.

That must have been an awesome Nirvana concert

I have to be the least fashion savy person ever. I really just dont get it. I like dressing nice. When im going out somewhere, i like wearing clothes that i think girls will like (and get friendly female opinions to make sure) but i would never spend $100+ on jeans or 48 freaking dollars on a printed T-shirt. God speed Otis, i just dont see the need for it.

Disclaimers:

-All of my girl picking up has taken place in new jersey and scranton, PA(not NYC or any other major city)

- Im 23 years old and single (have had what most would call average success with women)

- Im not fat, nor ugly

- My verbal game is pretty much hit or miss

- Im curretly wearing, and am most confortable in, a ~$60 pair of Tommy Hilfiger carpentar jeans that i bought around 3 years ago. When i go out, i do tend to wears pants that are a little more form fitting. (im in good, but not great shape)

edit: IMO, anything that is being done for the purpose of picking up women is not gay. If waxing your back and wearing $200 jeans helps you close top shelf tail, Im all for it.

I would wear these

I hate stuff like this That super washed out look just seems very fem to me, even though im sure alot of chicks dig it

Never saw them in concert...saw the Foo Fighters first tour though. Not with her though...she is not into the same music that I am.Enjoy your jeans while watching Justin Timberlake...Im sure all the 16 year olds will think you are cool. Maybe wear some big aviator sunglasses inside while your at it...

Must have been that flannel shirt with your smokes rolled in the sleeve that got her moist.

Didn't realize that. Will have to check them out. Thanks for the tip!I can't say that I care if a guy is wearing $20 or $200 jeans, but AG and Paper Denim are just very nice...good fit, great look. Warning to Otis: you start wearing these and you'll never go back.[This is where I'd admit that those are the two brands I wear, too, but I'm afraid of scaring off people from buying them thinking that they're therefore "girls' jeans". So I won't mention it.]

I don't have much problem with the above. As I've noted, I generally spend about the same ($60) on jeans. However, I will say this -- if you are wearking "form-fitting" jeans, you are doing something wrong. I don't get the guys who are in shape and think that girls want to see their package through their jeans. The cool dudes out here (see, e.g., Hollywood, Brad Pitt, etc.) who are in really good shape still wear baggy jeans (maybe a fitting t-shirt) -- it's just a much cooler style. That said, TLEF, I'm sure you do just fine, and maube I'm reading too much into form-fitting. But every jeans commercial I see has a good looking, fit dude wearing somewhat baggy jeans. It's just a pretty great look these days.

Ahh...more personal insults because I don't find your jeans cool...man...you really are a cool guy...I wish I could be just like you.And nope...no flannel...and I don't smoke.

This could be a BGP alias.
Nope...Im an original...one and only name I have ever had on this board.
Original!! Thats why you wear the same Effing clothes as 90% married guys. How is that Oringal. OH because there Levis Original.
Wow...all because I wear old navy jeans you think you know what else I wear?Yup...seems its the mo's with the expensive jeans getting a bit upset.
Not upset just having some fun. I'll get you a beer week 6. I'll look for the oringal guy with the Old Navy Jeans and Favre Jersey..

Krista> is there any stigma with wearing really expensive jeans? Like, don't you view a guy as too metro or less manly if you see he is wearing $200 jeans? Just seems like the kind of thing a real "guy" shouldn't do.Curious to hear your thoughts. And I may just have to try some of these things on if I can ever find them at the places where I shop.

Not sure I will be up there. I live in Nashville. Probably will only be up for a preseason game this year.

i am a big fan of silver and big star. Both are under 100 bucks. these are what I will probably buy from now on.

I have a pair of seven jeans and recently bought a pair of agave.

my all time favorite pair is still a pair from express, back when it was still called structure but the clothes said express.

Used to love some of those structure jeans. They were some of my favorites.

See that guys?Now...its not that I don't spend money on clothing. Some I do. Suits and dressier pants and shirts I am more apt to put out a little more cash for. Even there...alot of times its not because of what people think is cool, its just more the style and fit of those seem to be better when you spend a bit more...and its a huge noticeable difference. Just not jeans...I see no point in it.

by form fitting, i meant slightly less baggy than carpentars(see my above edit) Im not talking about thisI agree that the slightly baggy jeans on a dude that is in shape is a good look. Its typically what i strive for when im out.

I wear my jeans more than anything else in my wardrobe (outside of work). If there is anything that's a bang-for-my-buck purchase, it's jeans.

Yup...and I made fun of you for that one too. Why care what is "in style" or "cool" to other people. Why try to be Brad Pitt or wear something because he looked cool in them in a movie trailor?Just not idiotic about spending that much on jeans.

I dress well enough to look nice and never had a complaint about the way I dress.

I wear my jeans more than anything else in my wardrobe (outside of work). If there is anything that's a bang-for-my-buck purchase, it's jeans.
You see...I might wear them on Fridays and weekends when its a little colder. Even on casual fridays I might wear a pair of khakis rather than Jeans as they are even more comfortable to me.More of a shorts guy all year round though unless its just unbearably cold.

Deisel, AG, Paper Denim, Seven and Jetlag. I actually own nothing but designer denim. With Paper Denim you have to weed through some jeans to find the gems. Seven is getting a bit played out but I think the thicker denim works well in the winter. Jetlag makes some :banned: jeans but are pretty pricey.
Girl's opinion: AG and Paper Denim are :D
Ernest Sewn are jeans from the guy that used to wear Paper Denim's

Krista> is there any stigma with wearing really expensive jeans? Like, don't you view a guy as too metro or less manly if you see he is wearing $200 jeans? Just seems like the kind of thing a real "guy" shouldn't do.Curious to hear your thoughts. And I may just have to try some of these things on if I can ever find them at the places where I shop.
Good question. Like everything else, it probably depends on the kind of girl you're looking to attract (which reminds me, what happened to the latest Future Mrs. Otis?). Some might see it as a positive, but I don't think many would see it as a negative. It falls into that general bucket of "taking care of yourself and caring about how you look", and my view, as I believe is the view of most women, is that it's great for a guy to care about how he looks, as long as he doesn't care TOO much. It's never great to be with a guy who, for instance, takes longer to get ready than we do or checks himself out in every mirror he passes (sorry Woz).I would never see buying an expensive pair of jeans as too meterosexual or less manly. It might put you a tiny step closer to being "too superficial", but only a very tiny step and in and of itself not an issue at all.

:banned:
by form fitting, i meant slightly less baggy than carpentars(see my above edit) Im not talking about this
:D Ok, point taken.
You don't have to buy the extra tight form fitting jeans. Those are definitely gay. Usually the premium jeans have different fits. Slim-Fit ( ), Regular Fit (what TLEF was referencing) and Comfort-Fit (the baggy kind). Expensive Jeans are not all form-fitting.

I am one of the converted. I used to be like that angry dude and berate others for their stupidity in spending so much for jeans until I finally tried on some Diesels. They look great, they feel great, and women notice them. It's not like some sort of a complicated self esteem issue. If you got the cash, why not? It's money well spent. Think of it as an investment. It's not a one time thing - you're going to be wearing these jeans over and over again. And obviously, your jeans don't all have to be ridiculously expensive. I usually keep 1 nice pair of Diesel jeans when its time to go out and then buy a few cheaper Gap 1969 jeans which suffice on the normal days. (The boot cut jeans) But these are the brands that work for me.

If you're married, spending this much on jeans makes no sense and probably never will. I understand that. Because you already got your woman, and you got more important things to save your money for, like your kid's college fund and you probably already broke your bank account spending it on your woman's ring.

Agreed -- I would consider your first choice to be cool jeans. The second a little bit too close to what my dad probably was wearing in the sixties.

ELAINE: Kramer, they're painted on!

KRAMER: Well, they're slim-fit.

JERRY: Slim-fit?

KRAMER: (Talking fast) Yeah, they're streamlined.
