***Official Halt and Catch Fire Thread*** - new AMC Drama (1 Viewer)

I'm still enjoying it but not sure anyone who wasn't into computers back in that time frame (heck its probably just a hair before "my" time) is reply going to care much about this show.

The good parts are good, but the bad parts are bad.

I'm still watching....perhaps a result of not too much else on at the moment

I couldn't make it more than a couple episodes. The main guy is just too annoying, and I couldn't find another redeeming quality on the show to make it worth enduring him.

It was a good run for AMC, but the network is no longer on my "I'll check out anything they do" list.

Their own little sister network, Sundance, will be passing them by shortly.

Started out interesting, slowed very bad, then picked up at the end. The finale was a little weird, but I guess they were setting up for a possible season 2. I hope it comes back. I actually enjoyed it, overall.

He's was pretty good as Ronan The Accuuser in Guardians, and as Thranduil in The Hobbit series (so far). Seems like they just stuffed a bunch of quirks and faults into his H&CF character Joe, in case they need something in future seasons. It makes Joe an unlikeable mess from the start. Gordon is a whiner, Donna is unfaithful, so Cameron is the only main character you might root for on the show. That's not enough for me. The Woz/Jobs = Gordon/Joe analogy really doesn't have staying power.

Gave up about 5 episodes in. Just never got around to them on the DVR because I'm catching up with Game of Thrones.

Guess I'll never know.

I enjoyed it enough to hope it comes back for a second season. That said, I wouldn't fault anyone for not enjoying it, I definitely see it's flaws. But I liked it in spite of them, but I feel I may be biased having grown up just a bit after that era and having been into computers even back then.

I watched the first episode of the 2nd season and thought about giving up. I then did a marathon this week and finished it. I enjoyed it for what it is.

The second season was awesome. It was getting rave reviews, too. A lot of the articles I saw were saying if you quit watching during or right after season 1, you should start watching again.

Didn't realize season 3 had already started.

Episode 6 this week. Getting caught up with the first four episodes via AMC on demand (DirecTV).

I'm not sure if anyone is still watching, but the series finale is is next Saturday. I love the show. I thought the series really stepped up in season 3 to one of the best on tv.

Yeah great show I never even thought about watching until someone recommended it in the Netflix thread. I have 3 episodes left. I hated all the characters at first but like them all now (except Cameron of course). Kerry Bishe is incredibly hot. The only thing that's hard to get used to is the time jumps especially while binge watching.

to anyone out there...Q: the point of reverse engineering the IBM was to suck Cardiff E into building pcs? they didn't actually need the IBM bios to make there own cpu. ? I'm 2 eps in.
