Update: Hillary herself has now popped up in the SCIF/secure blackberry correspondence, directly emailing with Cheryl Mills about their efforts to try and persuade the NSA to grant them blackberry access within SCIF:

http://www.judicialwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/JW-v.-State-Hillary-email-pre-March-18-00646-pg-3.pdf

By March 11, 2009 the NSA had finally rejected Hillary's request on this and told her people to "shut up and color." According to Hillary she started her private server/email use for public purposes in March 2009.

No I disagree because the Inspector General reported they were classified.

I like you BFS so I just want to clarify I'm arguing the topic, not ifighting with you.

After the IG report, Hillary adjusted her public statements to never sending/receiving emails that were "marked classified".

But a few months after that (Nov 2015) the State Dept admitted some of the emails had classified markings.

A few weeks after that (Jan 2016) the Inspector General reported to congress that several dozen emails had been identified, some with higher classification than top secret.
Hillary is very lucky the FBI did not interview her yet because it is almost certain she would have committed perjury.  That is how they nailed Scooter, made him talk before the facts are known.  Hillary has time to adjust her story to fit what is known if they ever do interview her.

I'm not sure she can contain herself anyway. They also got Petraeus for lying to the FBI.

Put aside all the other good reasons to vote for Hillary, and just think about what a cool First Lady Bill will make.
This just proves the point that liberals are voting for Hillary because of Bill, not because of Hillary.  They think they can recapture some supposed magic from the 90's, I guess.

I think they know a lot more than they've let on.

What did Clinton provide to the State Department?

On December 5, 2014, 30,490 copies of work or potentially work-related emails sent and received by Clinton from March 18, 2009, to February 1, 2013, were provided to the State Department. ...

... Early in her term, Clinton continued using an att.blackberry.net account that she had used during her Senate service.  ...

Tim? This email is dated 2/13/09, she was clearly using her account before 3/18/09.

Scooter was innocent.  Russert couldn't remember jack #### in court.  He even forgot his " first time in 100 years" catch phrase.  He was the head of the nbc Washington bureau, and two of his employees knew Plame was CIA (Mitchell and Gregory) in a supposedly big story, but the boss claims ignorance?  What a sham.  Russert's neighbor was on the jury.

You know I think whole issue is disqualifying. That said...

The push to have Blackberries in the secure area was clearly stupid and shows ignorance of tech generally.

However the timing suggests a narrative where one issue influenced a decision for the other.  Could it really be as simple as someone suffering from Grandma Tech Syndrome simply said, "Set whatever you need to set up so I can use my Blackberry," and avoided the .gov IT department because outside of the secure area she felt she was above the red tape needed for every day correspondence on her terms?

This at least makes it plausible to me that this may not have stemmed from overt desire to avoid FOIA, but ignorance and laziness.

Timing here suggests Blackberry myopia may in fact have clouded better judgment.

Maybe it was that simple, and that stupid?

Choices are:

A. Ignorant, reckless, irresponsible

B. Corrupt

C. Both

For the first time I'm willing to entertain just A, which is sadly the best case.

I don't think they're mutually exclusive. Yes: old lady who could not work a computer once rebuked by the NSA decided to risk national security by putting all SOS emails on the unencrypted worldwide web.

However, 1/13/09 - This is the date of registration of the clintonemail.com address. Hillary did this to avoid Foia. Hillary has never turned over her att-blackberry emails because she claimed she stopped using it in March (and then lost access to them) but in fact she was still cc'ing that address into the fall of 2009 at least. The only reason to create a private server network is to hide information from another network, it takes work, effort and some money.

She did both. What happened in March 2009 was that the NSA told her that she could not have a secure blackberry so she decided to keep using the unsecure system anyway. The 3/18/09 date is the date Hillary claimed she started using the HDR22@clintonemail.com address. That's obviously not true, she registered the domain in mid January and she was using it 2/13/09 at least. We also know Hillary was emailing Gen. Petraeus using her server on 1/28/209. She must have wanted to keep her system private in March 2009 and she was not going to get on the government network using the CPU in the SCIF. The government hookup comes with a .gov email. When this happened again, in 2011, this time with State IT, because of one of the numerous times her server was down (perhaps due to an interruption of service attack, who knows), it was explicitly put to her that State IT would hook her up with a blackberry package but she would have to accept a .gov address as part of the package and that (as Mills was told) would ensure she was FOIA compliant. Mills turned that down. Hillary was never going to be on the State network.

The hacker used an open-source tool, publicly available, called “The Harvester” to search a variety of data sources – including well-known platforms such as Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Twitter and others – for any stored references to email addresses seen using a particular domain, in this case clintonemail.com. Hackers working under contract for private firms, also known as “White Hat hackers,” routinely use The Harvester during so-called “penetration testing,” or “pen testing,” on behalf of clients trying to ensure that their internal systems are secure.

The application of The Harvester to clintonemail.com revealed additional email addresses besides the one that Clinton aides have insisted publicly that she used, and have said was the only one that she used, when she served as Secretary of State: namely, hdr22@clintonemail.com.

A screen grab of The Harvester’s findings provided to Fox News by the source in the hacker community – whose professional resume also boasts extensive experience in the U.S. intelligence community – lists rather similar, but nonetheless different, email addresses, including

hdr@clintonemail.com,

hdr18@clintonemail.com,

hdr19@clintonemail.com,

hdr20@clintonemail.com,

and hdr21@clintonemail.com.

Also unearthed by the hacking tool were email addresses of a slightly varied structure, including

h.clinton@clintonemail.com,

Hillary@clintonemail.com,

contact@clintonemail.com,

and mau_suit@clintonemail.com.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/03/06/clinton-created-multiple-email-address-on-private-server-data-show.html

I'm going to go off mainstream here. One way that "hackers" can gain access to a srver or network is by gaining access to the admin's rights. I posted something on this a while back.

The "mau_suit" email revelation got conspiracy types excited a while because some thought it was maybe an inside joke about Hillary and some secret affinity for Mau Tse Tung or something having to do with her wearing Mau suits.

Anyway I came across this and found it interesting and maybe even makes sense.

Mystery Hillary Email Address mau_suit@clintonemail.com: SOLVED?

One of Hillary's mystery email address' was mau_suit@clintonemail.com,
There has been a lot of speculation as to who could have used this address...and what it was used for.
It has even been associated with theories that it had to do with Hillary's Mao-like pantsuits.
To date, nothing has really been put forward to explain it.

Let's start with 'mau_"...
Here's what I discovered:

multistation access unit (MSAU) definition

A multistation access unit (MSAU) is occasionally abbreviated as MAU. However, MAU is more frequently the abbreviation for the Ethernet media attachment unit.

A multistation access unit (MSAU) is a hub or concentrator that connects a group of computers ("nodes" in network terminology) to a token ring local area network. For example, eight computers might be connected to an MSAU in one office and that MSAU would be connected to an MSAU in another office that served eight other computers. In turn that MSAU could be connected to another MSAU in another office which would be connected back to the first MSAU. Such a physical configuration is called a star topology. However, the logical configuration is a ring topology because every message passes through every computer one at a time, each passing it on to the next in a continuing circle.

An advantage of an MSAU is that if one computer fails in the ring, the MSAU can bypass it and the ring will remain intact.

For larger networks, two additional ports on the MSAU (ring-in and ring-out) are available for connecting multiple MSAUs together. For example, using three MSAUs, the ring-out port of MSAU 1 is connected to the ring-in port of MSAU 2. The ring-out port of MSAU 2 is connected to the ring-in port of MSAU 3 and the ring-out port of MSAU 3 is connected to the ring-in port of MSAU 1, completing the ring. In such an example, up to 24 computers can be connected to the token ring network.

searchnetworking.techtarget.com...

Now, Hillary's I.T. guy taking the 5th. had me thinking. Could the '_suit' portion stand for "Super User I. T.?

Here is the definition for 'Super User...an IT term:
su·per·us·er
[ˈso͞opərˌyo͞ozər]
NOUN
a user of a computer system with special privileges needed to administer and maintain the system; a system administrator.

From the definition, alone, wouldn't a 'Super User' effectively give some individual or entity completely unfettered 'back door' entry into EVERYTHING within Hillary Clinton's system?

In summation: mau_suit@clintonemail.com
represents Multistation Access Unit_Super User I.T.

From the definition, alone, wouldn't a 'Super User' effectively give some individual or entity completely unfettered 'back door' entry into EVERYTHING within Hillary Clinton's system?

Thoughts, ATS Tech Geeks?

I'm still voting for "the speed boat" a month from now, but Andrew Sprung posted this a week ago and I think it is a pretty good explanation of why to vote for Hillary.  And the embedded link from seven years ago is an important reminder for impatient guys like me,

..I have always had doubts and qualms about Clinton -- her judgment, her ties to powerful interests, her political communication skills. But she probably has as good a grasp of policy -- issue by issue, detail by detail -- as any elected official in the country. She could be a disappointment -- or even, if she gets pulled into a stupid war, a disaster. But she could be great, too. Obama, early in his presidency, defined his task as turning the battleship of state a few degrees on multiple fronts. He's done that, and Clinton would (or should) ensure that we stay the corrected course.

Agreed. Not a fan of clinton because I think she's a big time liar but if it came down to her and trump I'm gonna vote for her. It's the lesser of two evils. Trump could set this country back 40 years. Hillary will probably just keep it the same. Neither are great options.

A Daily Kos diary with another example of how Hillary can never win with her critics:

First the pundits said Hillary Clinton was too loud. Now they say she's too 'calm'

Hillary Clinton has been getting lots of complaints from pundits over "shouting" during public appearances, meaning raising her voice to the same level that every other politician uses when speaking to a group. This has caused at least several of them to get the vapors.
Can't win for losing, apparently.

Fox News host Heather Nauert and guest Monica Crowley criticized the former secretary of state Wednesday for being “a little too calm” while delivering a foreign policy speech at Stanford University.

It seems to me that if there was ever a time to be calm, it might be when discussing foreign policy. Or perhaps it is a trick. Perhaps she is being too calm, in an effort to make Republicans look bad?

“Did you notice that calm and collected tone of voice right there? She said we needed ‘strong, steady leadership,’ implying the Republican candidates could not provide that,” Nauert said.
“She’s a little too calm,” Crowley said, before claiming President Barack Obama has been criticized for being “passionless.”

Don't shout, mind you. But don't be calm either. Don't seem angry because that will turn people off, but don't be not angry because people will accuse you of having no emotions.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz continue to bite the heads off squirrels and call it a foreign policy plan. Why can't Hillary Clinton be more like that?

What they are saying is that she's too contrived.

Hillary speech after today's losses: 'Who cares about Alaska, Hawaii and Washington. I don't need them and I'll deal with them once I am in office.'

Count me in for the $27 as long as they have something to help chafing and plenty of condiments for the dogs.
She'll wear whatever gloves you bring for her, but gets to keep them.  Hot dogs have mustard, relish, onions.  You want ketchup, go buy a hotdog with one of those Wall Street guys.

This election has been bizarre:

- WA: Sanders (W) 72-28

- AK: Sanders (W) 82-18

- HI: Sanders (W) 70-30

I don't blame Hillary for losing here or thing that her grip on this nomination is slipping, the odd thing to me are the complete wipe-outs for Sanders in some states this late in the game.

I love that she boasted she was the only candidate to actually work in Alaska and then had her biggest defeat of the night there.

There won't be a "contested" convention.  The superdelegates will decide the matter, which is their job. To avoid a contested convention.
It will be a moot point. Hillary will go into the convention with a majority of the primary/caucus delegates. Superdelegates will not decide the matter.

Sure they will.  And that's what they're there for - to avoid what's happening with the Republicans right now.

And given the momentum of the last week - in which Sanders has crushed his delegate demographic target for every state except AZ, it's not a fait accompli that Clinton goes in with a majority of the pledged delegates.  And if Bernie goes in with the majority, how do Clinton supporters feel about superdelegates switching for Bernie? Or going for Clinton, for that matter?
