He's going to lose the popular vote. But yeah. Unbeatable.maybe this guy was simply unbeatable.

Yup, actually my posts in there were to be careful about gloating.Yes. Simply showing up and continuing to be a d-bag isn't enough.
Did you post the same thing about gloating for our resident forum liberals when Obama won the last two elections? Please provide a link if you have one, but in general I love how when Conservatives lose then gloating from the left can't be done enough, but when the Democrats lose everyone is supposed to take the high-road.
I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election. How about post-mortum, Squiz. Where do you think it went wrong for Hillary? I'm going to say at the beginning - she was always flawed on multiple levels, as you were constantly reminded - and then she completely and totally played into her own stereotypes with the her misdeeds in the email investigation but then her own constant dissembling about it.
The Democrats always should have had a Plan B, they should have let the chips fall where they may.
I somewhat suspect that Trump's success always had a little something to do with the presence of Jeb Bush and Hillary in the first place. They were more or less red flags waived at the angry electorate bull.
You of all people shouldn't gloat at all, because based on your posts you despise Trump. I know you despised Hillary just as much or more, but she's out of the picture now. Now there is only Trump. If he acts as President in the same way he acted as a candidate, I trust you'll join us in opposing him.Yes. Simply showing up and continuing to be a d-bag isn't enough.

I agree, Hillary performed better than Trump in the debates and at the convention. But Trump was easily beatable. Shoot Hillary will easily win the popular vote. But her personality and her scandals weighed a lot more than you know. Trump would have lost to Biden or Sanders. It's hard to argue with this in retrospect.
I dunno. I thought she won all 3 debates pretty handily. I thought her convention was brilliant, his was a nightmare. He had so many election-ending moments and none of them did.
Its easy to blame Hillary (and believe me, right now I don't think I ever want to see her on TV again) but maybe this guy was simply unbeatable.
Fair enough.Yup, actually my posts in there were to be careful about gloating.
I'm going to support America, and President Trump. I hope all libs do the same, and reject the "anti-Obama (for example)" rhetoric that has plagued the last 8 years.
And talk to some blacks about that and get back to me how they should get down on their knees and thank the GOP. It is like saying Democrats formed the KKK, yeah true, but means nothing now.
wow. I think it's a combination of that and that she was simply unelectable. It's hard to argue with this in retrospect.

I hope this isn't the typical Dem reaction. Comey's letter would have been irrelevant if Hillary hadn't had the email issue to begin with.I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
C'mon, you can't seriously believe this. This is a cop out.I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
The left spent the last 8 years pandering to the rich (for donations) and to the poor (for votes). Middle class working taxpayers of all races/colors/creeds/sexes spoke very loudly yesterday that they are through being either ignored or used as a piggy bank for the liberal agenda. Enough was enough.I think they sincerely know they were wrong, but their ideology prevents them from making any sense of how or why.
The silent majority is alive and well in the US.vocal minority trumped by silent majority. that's just what it is.
This is good comedy hereIn all day meeting in our office sharing an atrium with Trump Tower. Lots of high drama. People flipping it off, screaming...
Pretty left-leaning CNN panelist (forget his name, sits next to Van Jones usually) said last night that "Saying this is Comey's fault is like feeling an earthquake and pointing to the washing machine. It may have made a small difference, but there's something much bigger going on."I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
To be fair, i'm ecstatic Ron Johnson won here in WI, defeating that lying, duplicitous, self-serving, do-nothing scumbag Feingold. His victory, to me, was the biggest thing out of this whole election. You of all people shouldn't gloat at all, because based on your posts you despise Trump. I know you despised Hillary just as much or more, but she's out of the picture now. Now there is only Trump. If he acts as President in the same way he acted as a candidate, I trust you'll join us in opposing him.
So, in your estimation, Hillary has no blame or fault in causing her own loss? Is that right?I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
That doesn't alter the fact he went against long established tradition and protocol by disclosing an investigation before it was completed and within 60 days of an election.I hope this isn't the typical Dem reaction. Comey's letter would have been irrelevant if Hillary hadn't had the email issue to begin with.

I completely understand you're in denial right now. I'll wait a few days for you to grieve and get over your loss before we can expect an actual rational post-mortem.That doesn't alter the fact he went against long established tradition and protocol by disclosing an investigation before it was completed and within 60 days of an election.
** pound fist on table ** AT THIS POINT WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE ** pound fist on table **How about "sorry for being such a d-bag for the last year. I was completely and utterly wrong"? That would be a good start to making the FFA great again.
Yes, because there is such a long history of Presidential candidates who are under criminal investigation which has established this tradition. That doesn't alter the fact he went against long established tradition and protocol by disclosing an investigation before it was completed and within 60 days of an election.
The GOP has done a lousy job of controlling Trump to date. I'm not confident. In regards to the Ron Johnson thing, Trump will come into office with Republican majorities in House and Senate. The GOP can do everything they want. We'll see how it works out.
speech yet?oh boy.....I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
The Dems have the filibuster and they will use it. Let's see if you characterize that as obstructionists. In regards to the Ron Johnson thing, Trump will come into office with Republican majorities in House and Senate. The GOP can do everything they want. We'll see how it works out.
I think you're going to be disappointed Tim....clear illustration of one of the most significant problems we have in our political process today...the inability/unwillingness to self reflect and take ownership. I'm not sure it will be "typical" but it's going to be very prevalent. "It's not me, it's you"I hope this isn't the typical Dem reaction. Comey's letter would have been irrelevant if Hillary hadn't had the email issue to begin with.
This really is a stunning setback for Hillary. She has again failed to connect with voters or establish a compelling narrative.
More than that, it begins to undermine her crucial electability issue. More than 2.25 million votes were cast in Michigan tonight and Hillary got less than 25% of them. She is a terrible candidate who is already at her ceiling everywhere in America. There's not a single voter who is going to suddenly learn about her and get on board.
It is actually a good way to communicate to the public without having to go through the filter of the media. I imagine he was use Twitter.Trump ran the election like you run a twitter account. Say outlandish things, get more followers, keep it up for 24 months then tone it down slightly in the 3 weeks while simultaneously dropping every bit of dirt you can find (real or hacked) in the weeks leading up to the election which keeps her supporters from having much energy and voting.
I have no problem with this, but a small reminder: Hillary Clinton is going to win the popular vote. Not by the margin she should have won it by, to be sure. But this is also not some massive populist movement that has taken over the nation. It's a localized but perfectly positioned one.I take no pleasure in Hillary's loss. I take no pleasure in being right. What's about to happen will be bad. But we warned you. We told you the people were mad. We told you nominating someone that even the majority of Democrats don't like was a bad idea. We told you about her weakness on trade and how that was going to hurt in places like Ohio. We told you her scandals were just waiting to tank her. I take no pleasure in all that coming to pass. The only possible good coming out of this could be the ascendence of the left in the party. We need a populist revolution at the DNC to change its direction or this thing will be on loop.
I still think the email scandal was a nothing burger and blown out of proportion by people beating the drum every day about it since it first surfaced in the news. Yes, Hillary shouldn't have done it, but I view it as negligence at worst but it was spun into sinister criminal behavior - I still view it as all smoke and no fire (as with all the criminal accusations against Hillary). So, in your estimation, Hillary has no blame or fault in causing her own loss? Is that right?
No no no. We need to stop this kind of stuff. We need an impartial FBI and DOJ. The last 8 years have been a disgrace in that regard. I don't want any party in power, be it Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarian, or whatever to be above the law. Having the Eric Holders of the world use the DOJ to simply be the strong arm of the party of the Presidency has to stop. The Democrats will never forget and will never forgive Comey. But maybe just maybe Democrats should appoint Democrats not Republicans. Thanks Obama.
They won't have an unbreakable supermajority like Obama did, so R's will still be in check. In regards to the Ron Johnson thing, Trump will come into office with Republican majorities in House and Senate. The GOP can do everything they want. We'll see how it works out.
If it did, it was very little. There is simply no way you can point to what Comey did and say "That's why Hillary lost". It's a cop-out and avoids the real reasons why she lost.Wasn't just the Comey letter. It took the spotlight off Trump for the last week of the election. Gave him ammo. People were already voting.
Doesn't matter now. But to say it had no effect is a stretch. Of course it did.
This is like saying putting out the lifeboats into the water sunk the Titanic.Wasn't just the Comey letter. It took the spotlight off Trump for the last week of the election. Gave him ammo. People were already voting.

So the lesson to be learned is for Cabinet members to not have a personal server in their closet and then lie about it...I would say Comey interfering in the election probably made the difference. A lot of votes were cast from the time he announced he reopened the investigation and then said "Oh. never mind" and that margin couldn't be overcome in the few days left before the election.
Ok so the email issue had zero effect. Fine.I still think the email scandal was a nothing burger and blown out of proportion by people beating the drum every day about it since it first surfaced in the news. Yes, Hillary shouldn't have done it, but I view it as negligence at worst but it was spun into sinister criminal behavior - I still view it as all smoke and no fire (as with all the criminal accusations against Hillary).
Very little? She won the popular vote. Trump won on razor thin margins. If it did, it was very little. There is simply no way you can point to what Comey did and say "That's why Hillary lost". It's a cop-out and avoids the real reasons why she lost.
