Upon hearing about the death of Dan Haggerty, aka Grizzly Adams, my only thought was, how is Big **** Hunter coping, and how does he turn this into a bit.

Flashback: Dan Haggerty married Hunter and wife, at the Bunny Ranch, with Greggo in attendance. At one point, Greggo was in the kitchen eating chili when he had Carte Blanche from Dennis Hof to #### any Bunny he wanted.

I'm done.  I might try to catch a random gordon segment now and then, but hardline is totally dead to me and I never have any time to catch bad radio anymore anyways.

Musers are still good. Even when one of them is out and they fill in with Doocy it's worth listening to. I was always out on Norm, adding Donnie didn't change that. BaD is OK but not must listen. Same with the Hardline. To be honest if I could only pick 2 shows to listen to it would be Musers and the recap Top Ten show.

Any big reason why? Haven't listened in a while (outside of some Cowboys postgame)
:goodposting:

It used to be about the only thing I listened to in the car, now it is all podcasts or music. Too many commercials, too much sameness. I briefly heard Gordo doing the Jesse bit this morning while I was looking for a podcast, with my first thought being "how long can they do the same bits?"

I got this note from a girl over a dating app today, hoping you guys can translate:

'Are you a P1; do you prefer 2nd date update; or are you a driveway moments kind of guy?'

I get the P1 part the rest makes me

No clue. Dont think that sounds like a gordon thing.

Looks like 2nd date updates is a KSCS thing? Driveway Moments according to Urban Dictionary is when you sit in your car to finish a segment on the radio as opposed to going inside.

This is still true. Scorching Alt-Right hot takes and discussion of his abuse as a kid.
It's sad, but I think some addicts best work are done before the drug doesn't quite take complete control of them.  At his peak he was approaching Gordon levels of wit.  The station, and for sure the hardline, never really recovered and now is just waiting for Rhynes to pay off his 5th divorce and retire.

Absolutely true. If Greggo wasn't the MVP during the peak years, he was top three.

Now, I know very few people who listen. I keep up with the station on twitter, but rarely listen anymore. It's all podcasts and Spotify for me now. I know the numbers are still good, but not like they use to be.

Yeah.  So that happened

BTW all time low ratings leading into the retirement. Going out on a high?

Was Rhynes really married 5 times?

Bob moving to drive time with Corby and Dan Paul. Jake Kemp moving into his empty seat from 12-3. Seems weird at first, but makes sense. Bob deserves drive time.

Still would love to have been in the meeting room when this was discussed and decided.

Congrats to our little buddies at The Ticket. 2021 Marconi Award winners: Sports Station of the Year, and The Musers won Major Market Personality of the Year.

Mike Rhyner announcing his retirement today. Big day on the little Ticket.

Rhyner comes out of retirement to new sports station format over at 97.1FM. Ben & Skin, Jeff Cavanaugh, Mike Sirois and Julie Dobbs joining him

This should be interesting. Gotta think this has been in the plans for a while with people leaving both The Ticket and The Fan. RIP to The Eagle, probably my favorite station as a kid.

Is he going to be on air or more a consultant? The times I've tuned in to ben/skin just to see what the hell they have it's been so generic.

Taking everything from Richie Whitt with a grain of salt, but it sounds like he is going to get back on the air. If that's the case, where his show lands during the day is going to be very interesting.

Mike Rhyner on the air, 97.1 The Freak, as of this afternoon. Afternoons 3-7, with Mike Sirois and Grubes. "We Say What We Want". We will see.

They have added Danny Balis to the afternoon show. I'm a fan and will have me tune in more often. I gotta wonder if he quit knowing this was going on and he needed the clock on his non-compete to start as soon as possible.

Interesting week for the little Ticket. On the heels of the Norm retirement (he's going to do podcast 2-3 times a week still), we lose our good buddies Dan and Jake (who will most likely end up at the Freak and/or do podcasts).

A lot of people jumping ship. The Musers can only do so much and the talent pool is getting thin.

Radio is dying. They get good ratings but it's good ratings in a declining market.

The podcast world is very crowded. I don't envy them trying to make this work.

going to be really interesting w/ what they do w/ 10-3. Donnie can only do so much and I don't think any of the Tier 2 guys are ready for that slot. But I will say that I'm a good listener from 7-10 and then again from 3-6ish, but midday (even w/ Norm) was when I usually had it on as background noise and got most of my "work" done (even as WFH). Also was really interesting to hear "upset" George this morning basically drawing a line in the sand. Based on the segment this morning, it seemed as if BAD really didn't want to stay. Sturm got really choked up on air.

It's a funny set of dominoes. Drive time is the only slots cumulus will pay so they elevated Bob when Mike left. Then they opted to go outside to make another drive time role.

You can look at this all in a number of ways but realistically they chose to keep Corby over Dan. A BAD plus Corby afternoon drive would have worked. Maybe.

Very much expect we see the complete unraveling of the station now.

George got on Gordon's stream last night and was emotional. It's probably 7 stages of grief going down there.

So they expand Donnie from 10-1 and bring in McClearin...........ok. Then we get SeaBass and Minot for 2 hours...............ok/meh. At least it's not Ringenburg...........I tune out on him immediately.

I've been drifting towards 95% of my listening time being Musers only and this probably accelerates that. Musers in the AM and a rotation of podcasts in the PM.
