Culdeus made a run at this last year I think. Thought it had some legs but appartently not.edit to note that it was culdeus and not doughboy deluxe that tried to get the league started last yearOn another note...I was cleaning out my desk this morning I found my "P1 Card". It is an actual credit card thingy they send me a few years back with my name and a number to make me a card carrying member. Made me laugh. Does anyone else have one?I'm im Woodland Springs. Two random Ticket thoughts:
I am pretty sick of Corby making off-hand comments of how hard it is to work/deal with a addict. Anytime during E-news where they are discussing someone with a drug problem, he spits out "Yeah, we wouldn't know anything about that." It is over and done, move on. Yes, I still giggle at the Greggo drops, but it is probably time to move on. He gets on to Ty Walker about BDH references, and he should take his own advice.
I am growing really tired of Corby overall.
Second, I have started listening to TC and Jake's podcast "It's Just Banter" and I'm really finding it a good listen. It is probably not for everyone, but if you are a P1 and can fight through some less than professional broadcasting, it is pretty good. Reminds me of a more sportsy Rant. I'm only 3 episodes in, right about the time of Dallas/SA in the NBA playoffs, but it is good stuff.

Have any of you ever been to a Fight Night? I have considered going but it sounds like a sausage fest. Been to a few live spots when I just happened to be in the area.
I have no problem with Corby - that is just his gig, he's harmless and does more good than bad but that is just an opinion. For some reason I feel the true genius of the show is Danny. I really like The Orphanage whenever I can catch it.

That interview was PURE GOLD. Loved every second of it (especially the "Pull-outis" method comment). That is what Corby does well, yuck monkey stuff. I use to love everything Cobra did, maybe I am just getting old.
I agree about Danny. I would listen to any show he is a part of. Love The Orphanage, I just never seem to be able to tune it when it is on.

This is a step closer. Someone made mention on the air, asking Rhyner if they saw Greggo in NY. His reply" What, he is out here?"I don't care how much someone screwed up, or screwed you over. If this finishes with Ginger Ale in the air, you bury the hatchet and make a call.Hell, these guys are playing so many Greggo drops and making so many mentions of him (I know, dead horse, but still just pisses me off) you might as well bring him on.Props to The Fan for going until 5 in the morning with their post-game show Saturday morning.

Josh Lewin, freshly fired from the American League Champion Texas Rangers has been hired by The Fan to do a show from 11-2. He starts Monday.
This will move Greggo and Richie up to the 2-7pm spot, drive time. This puts the Hambonita in direct competion with both Rhyner and Galloway, the two guys he probably owes more than anyone else.
I'm interested in hearing Josh and will for sure tune into at least that first hour before BaD.

If that station ever kept a line-up for awhile I would work it in the rotation more when the ticket is annoying me.On Greggo, I did not get here until 2004 (heard the station on visits) , but the hardline is not the same with out him. Not actually sure exactly what Greggo added, okay funny and okay sport knowledgeable, but great at either. Still something is missing with just Corby, Wolf and Dark Cloud.Bogart said:

On cue, my HD radio in my office dropped The Ticket for some reason, so I have listened to The Fan from about lunch on. Not that bad. I think Greggo and Richie could be a good show, and I look forward to hearing some Lewin. Not sure when I am going to switch in and out, but I could see me losing P1 status at 1310.I do like the fact that The Fan has live broadcasting until 1 AM. I enjoy some late night listening after the family is in bed.

Completely drained from the Rangers. Was not physically or mentally prepared for that long of a playoff run. Can't wait to do it again.
That said, I think I am taking a Sports Vacation. The Cowboys can lose without me, and it's really too early to get invested in Stars/Mavs.
Taking a Ticket/sports radio break as well. Plan on being back in a month, just in time for bowl season.
