Remember Cumulus owns that station now.Gribble trying out the greener pastures of ESPN?
Track record shows it never works but maybe the money is better for now.
Oh yeah. Forgot. So it's going to be like a farm system now? If you are Cumulus you want both to succeed.Remember Cumulus owns that station now.Gribble trying out the greener pastures of ESPN?

Summary for those of us who missed it?Nice to catch up on all the divorces. Dan is probably next.
Junez. Few posts back someone said another guy put baby up in his wife and they are divorced. Don't know of any others.Summary for those of us who missed it?Nice to catch up on all the divorces. Dan is probably next.
Flipping between those two is pretty damn enjoyable right now. Having a tough time making it back to the little Ticket. The novelty will wear off before long though.93.3 and 94.5 changed format to Old-School Hip-Hop. Looks like 93.3 is just for the holidays, but 94.5 is permanent.

Bringing Greggo back would cure all that. Also, let him do all the drugs he wants.Ticket ratings are really starting to struggle with the exception of Musers. Never thought I'd see that happen.
I guess I am ahead of the curve here.Ticket ratings are really starting to struggle with the exception of Musers. Never thought I'd see that happen.
21-33 year old douchebags who still play fast-pitch baseball, drive white trucks and think the most inside sports you can be is when you start a comment with, "I was talking Dez/Dirk/Elvis the other day...."culdeus said:Why would anyone listen to the fan? It's an abortion. Who does this?
Is there a link to view such things? Thanks.Statcruncher said:The Musers still running strong, but it appears the other shows are losing steam.

According to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings, SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket narrowly led 105.3 FM The Fan in the monthly competition for the all-important demographic of men 25-54.
The Ticket’s strength is its Monday-Friday lineup. The Fan is buoyed by Rangers games.
For the June book (May 20-June 17), it was The Ticket at 4.5 with The Fan at 4.4 in the holy demographic. KESN-FM (103.3) was third at 2.4.
Among men 25-54 from Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., when the high-priced local talent is on the air, it was: Ticket 5.8; Fan 4.4; KESN 2.5.
Meanwhile, The Ticket’s “Musers” dominated morning drive in men 25-54 regardless of station format. They were No. 1 overall with an 8.8 share in the ratings. Their nearest competitor was at KZPS-FM (92.5), a classic rock station on which Bo & Jim scored a 6.5.

The Fan Reigns Supreme In Dallas
Oh how the tide has turned in Dallas!
For years, Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket has dominated the market and had competitors questioning whether or not they had made a smart decision to enter the sports talk space.
And rightfully so.
The brand has been highly entertaining, the personalities are authentic, funny, larger than life and the competition was minimal.
But over the past few years, competition has improved, signals carrying sports talk programming have gotten stronger, and the once thought to be untouchable and iconic Ticket, now faces a challenge they’ve not had to deal with before.
Enter 105.3 The Fan.
the big black cowboys computer is funny, but starting to get a bit old.
I'm really not sure who listens to the Fan. They do hardcore sports most of the day so maybe there's really a bigger market for that than the Ticket realized. You had to figure some type of shakeup needed to happen. Musers still dominate, Hardline holding their own, but with the midday getting beat, heads need to roll, or get shifted around.
The Fan is still crap and you shouldn't be losing to them. ESPN is even worse.
Unfortunately he'll still be doing that.donovan early on didn't bother me but got to the point I couldn't tolerate BAD at all. He also torpedoed all the roundtables and campouts and stuff.
I'm going to bet they start to pull him off those. This is clearly a demotion in response to flagging ratings. I think he's below roundtable level now.Unfortunately he'll still be doing that.donovan early on didn't bother me but got to the point I couldn't tolerate BAD at all. Podcasts have killed it for me, I have to admit. I know my commute time each morning and afternoon and basically pick a podcast to listen to. I get more content out of Bill Simmons, the Grantland podcasts, Nerdist, Tim Ferriss, Joe Rogan, Onnit, etc than I get out of the radio.I wonder how much podcasts are killing stations like this. The 20 minutes of talk and 40 minutes of commercials model doesn't seem to work anymore. I haven't listened heavily in years. I don't recall the last time I've even tuned in at all. I would think it has been well over a year now.
