The wife's got an out of town bachelorette party on the horizon. Might be a good weekend to get nuts.
You figure out when this is yet bud?
The weekend of June 1st or 2nd, I believe. Is that a weekend? :hophead:
Fri and Sat. Not sure Hot Fuzz will still be in theaters then. :excited:
The wife has gotten very clingy since I shot baby up in her. I'll keep tryin' to shake loose.

sorry, was away for a while...playing softball the other night and my acl came out of my shoulder

The funny thing about that Greggo comment is that he thought about it for a second, took his time coming up with it

Anybody hear Kelly Clarkson on the show this afternoon? The guys were doing the show from some random Albertson's in Burleson, and she just happens to be grocery shopping there and agrees to do an interview for a few minutes. Pretty cool stuff.

On a side note, when I heard it I was on my way home from Pizza Hut HQ where they paid me $40 to eat four pieces of pizza and tell them whether they were the same or different.

Bummed I missed the interview. On a side note, anyone hear the "Where's ####a" bit a few days ago. It was a little slice of the old Little Ticket. Made me long for the old days.Side note #2: Life without the Ticket continues for me, but I have faith in FM radio again. 107.5 Movin' is great in little chunks. "Today's movin' songs from today, and from your school days" is the motto. Heard MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice and others the other day. A better station is the new 92.5 KZPS. Relaunched as "Lone Star Radio" they are heavy on Willie, Waylon and the boys, ZZ Top, Old 97s, Steve Earle, etc. Mix of classic country, alt-country, classic rock, Texas music makes for a day of nice, unrepeatable music.

The interview was actually pretty interesting. She said that she had performed at the American Idol finale in LA Wednesday night, then she had three days off so she and some of her backup singers took a private jet back to DFW late Wednesday night. She has 50 acres of land outside Burleson, so she and her friends were at the store doing grocery shopping for the weekend. She said they were going to the lake to ride jetskis this weekend. She said when she's in town she normally goes out to downtown Fort Worth, but that she rarely gets noticed since she doesn't get all "magazined" up. After the interview Corby was talking about how the interview came about. During a commercial break the manager from Albertson's came up to him and said Kelly Clarkson was in the store. He said he thought it was just a rumor, but the district manager was at the store as well and confirmed it. So Corby and the manager went looking for her in the store, and found her in the frozen foods section. He said he wouldn't have recognized her if the manager hadn't pointed her out. So Corby went up and politely introduced himself and said the Ticket was doing a remote and wondered if she had a few minutes to do an interview. She politely declined, saying that she was exhausted from the past few days and was just in town with a few of her friends from LA to relax for a few days. He said no problem, thanked her for her time, and went back to the Ticket setup. A few minutes later she came over to them and said since they were a hometown radio station that she didn't mind going on air for a few minutes. After the interview was over and everyone in the store realized who she was, Corby said she was absolutely mobbed by everyone in the store. People asking for autographs and pictures and the whole deal.

BTW Jennifer Gale is making Gordon's show. He's actually got something going now that's sustainable with or without him/her. To bad the first 3 or 4 episodes were gawd awful.

When did Jennifer Gale make it to Dallas? He/she was always brilliant on Jeff Ward's show down here.

I saw Jennifer Gale at the corner of Lemmon and McKinney 2 days before the mayoral race. She was standing there with her home made signs, etc next to the Walgreens I just happened to come out of. I pointed her out to my gf who I had shown a clip of Gordo's show. My gf cringed. Then I yelled "No worries JG - Gordo's got your back. Wooo hoooo!" She looked at me like someone had punched her in the gunt.

I had to go to the Texas Ethics Commission in early January to turn in a lobby registration report. As I walked in, standing at the window was what I thought was the strangest-shaped dude I'd ever seen in my whole life. As he turned, I saw that it was Jennifer, who moved off to the side so I could talk to the 87 year old CSR behind the counter. I turned in my form, and asked for a date stamped copy for my records. As the old bat slowly rose to make my copies, Jennifer began sharing its theory of the world with me. As granny took my papers and ambled to the copier, I heard about the fascists that secretly ran the University of Texas and the underground mob that ran politics at city hall. I began to sweat as tales of voter disenfranchisement and late night visits from guys named Guido spewed forth and my copies still weren't ready. A couple minutes (which seemed like hours) later, I reached through the window and grabbed my copy out of the clerks hands while Jennifer ranted about how every election the city holds is in violation of the Voting Rights Act. As I bolted out the door, Jennifer told me "to have the greatest life ever" and that he "hoped all my fantasy dreams came true."

So did you take her home with you?

Good Strong Happy Day: Went and bought a little clock radio for my lab that would dock my iPod so I could get better music. I plug it in and tune in some FM stations and just for kicks switched over to AM. Expecting to hear silence like every other radio that has been in there I hear the sweet sound of static. Tune into 1310 and got the Little Ticket.

I have never looked forward to a Monday morning so much in my life. Will probably only make Bob and Dan a stop down right off during the lack of real sports for a while.

If anyone can catch the 5:10 segment, Fun With Real Audio, I highly suggest it. I haven't laughed that long in forever. Only time you will hear the words "Hot", "Carl", "Gaylord" and "Perry" in the same sentence.

sad day for dallas

seriously, I'd like to punch laura miller in the face for how much she took a dump on DE. That was something Dallas could have built around, but instead her sudden puritanical ways got the better of her and ####.

This signals to me that there is absolutely no hope of things ever coming back. Especially with Leppert at the helm, that dude is just gonna pave over everything.

RIP oneton

RIP nigelt

The list of reasons to punch Laura Miller in the face is long and distinguished.

Larry Brown = awful.
No joke. I feel sorry for Rich. He knows now that what little Larry Brown has in his bag is football related so he has to go there for like 12 segments so it turns into a crappier version of ESPN radio. Everyone should be back at full strength soon right?

Anything ever get put to paper for the Dallas cornhole? Would think we could do one as well if not better than the New York CH that just took place.

Mud

Cowboys training camp starts this week, so I'm guessing all vacations are over.
I guessed wrong. Ben and Skin today.

I think Hardline is back on Wednesday from San antonioI think the worst news I heard is that the daily cowboys press conference is at 3 each day. So much for the best segment(s) of the day....

I am not a huge Ben & Skin fan but I have to admit Donovan, Ben & Skin laying down some digital underground was pretty cool

"Mike & Greg cant do that"
