Hey I need some help

I need an idea for a date on this saturday. She lives in Midlothian and I am more familar with Fort Worth, but I need to stay over on the Dallas side of town. I am thinking I want to do something more than dinner. I want to find something fun and interesting. One qualifying item, I have a sprained ankle so my movement is a little limited. One other item is that Sushi is out.

TIA

A lot just depends on what you like and what she likes. You looking for an idea for dinner? Entertainment? Hourly motels?

Go FC Dallas? Go Desperados? Go Cowboys Off-Season Weight Training?
Hook 'em Horns?
I went to Baylor. :goodposting: :bag:
Thought you were an Aggie, for some reason. Good season for little Baylor.
Yeah definitely getting things going in the right direction in basketball. Let's see if we can keep making progress, and then make some progress on the football field.
WHOA. Let's not get carried away, now.
I can dream.

Dinner & entertaiment. Something different.

Take her to Medieval Times and you are set. Dinner and entertainment in 2 hours  Seriously though there is a nice Cuban restaurant called La Cubanita that just opened in Know Henderson next door to Cretia's on McKinney across the street from Sushi on McKinney. They have a lot of great rum drinks to get her in the mood. I highly recommend the ribs though they may be a little messy for a date. To bad you have a bad wheel or you could take her out to a club and dance. Don't forget that there is always High School Musical on Ice is at the AAC.

Now that is thinking outside the box, or at least not thinking how to get into it

Pocket Sandwich Theatre is a possibility. Sometimes they have plays where you are encouraged to throw popcorn at the antagonists on stage. Unfortunately you're a week early for "Brandi the Vampire Staker." Looks like the current play is "Murder at the Howard Johnson's." I've never been to a play there where I didn't get to throw something at somebody, so I'm not sure what you're looking at there. They also have late-night stand-up comedy (starts at 11:15), and it's right down the street from the original Campisi's. :goodposting:

Did anyone listen to today's Why Today Doesn't Suck? Right at the the end of the segment in chipmunk voice modulation the "yeah he played for the Packers, damn sure did Bob" line was issued. Even if it was Grubes mimic'ing the line instead of playing the actual drop wouldn't that still be a violation?

And for the record while I don't really miss Greggo, I sure miss his drops.

ETA - Damn, I got sidetracked in the middle of this post and you beat me to it. I didn't get to hear the rest of WTDS, they played more than the one I mentioned?

They played a few others. Only one I remember is "Behind Luby's." They also just played "Hazmat Uniform" during the Hardline opening.

Latest on Greggo from Richie Whitt:

A few days ago, I spoke with 103.3 FM ESPN Radio's program director to gauge the station's interest in hiring ... what's his name? ... Greg Williams. And, sure enough, says Tom Lee: “Greg’s on our radar for sure. He’s been so successful in this market for so long … his numbers speak for themselves. He’s an incredible talent and an integral part of our area’s sports talk landscape. He’s got a track record few can match. We do everything we can to help better our station, especially moves that can take us to the next level.”Translation: It’s almost a done deal. Imminent, even. Breath-holdingly close to done. With the momentum created by The Michael Irvin Show and the national pub garnered from Pacman Jones’ recent appearance and the buzz about Randy Galloway’s 5,000th show forthcoming April 11, now seems the perfect time for ESPN to hire Williams in a further attack on The Ticket’s empire. But, alas, considering Williams’ past, there must be countless hurdles to clear. Background check? Bargain-basement salary? Carefully crafted contract? Ban on drug paraphernalia within a 12-mile radius of any studio containing Greggo and proposed sidekick Nate Newton? Who knows? One thing for sure is that Greggo nailed his tryout a couple weeks ago. One industry source told me that Williams “blew away” ESPN management with his preparation and delivery. The April 1 target launch obviously won’t happen, but don’t surprised if The Hammer indeed re-surfaces on a weeknight show alongside The Kitchen. If you can’t wait, I’ve heard The Ticket again playing some of The Hammer’s infamous drops. It either means the station’s frosty attitude toward their former employee is thawing, or that lawyers have agreed Williams’ words are ultimately The Ticket’s intellectual property.Bet the house on the latter. --Richie Whitt

Compound week!!!

Am I the only one who's growing tired of Corby? His annoying cockiness now trumps his amusingness.
Best week ever. I'm sure you'll get a lot of agreement from the Corbyhaters in here. I personally haven't noticed a difference.
I just think he's been overexposed.
Indulge moderately
I'm a Corby fan, but agree that he is not in the position he should be in. It hardly makes sense to do "Snake Pit" or any character, because he was just on, hogging the mic from disinterested Rhyner and Danny (We need more Danny). It just makes the show seem flat now.

Umm, I uhh find this hard to believe.
I did too until I remembered they think Grandpa Urine is the stalwart of their line-up. And I agree with the above posters, Compound Week is the greatest and Corby is simply overexposed.

Good point.BTW, I listened to a bit of the Michael Irvin show Friday. Damn was that brutal. Guy seriously sounds mentally handicapped. He thought he was making a great argument when all he was actually doing was making the same point repeatedly, just changing the inflection and/or volume.

At what level?

It is an interesting choice of words considering the reported drug of choice or the hammer's relapseIf NBC owned Larry bud melman's fake name, how would the little ticket not own the greggo drops

Sittitng here watching the stars game when I hear the familiar robotic sound of "That theory can not be proven"

I really want to be able to hear the Greggo drops

Rangers are tied for first in the AL West. Had to do it now because it might be the only time I get to type that again this year.
How's this working out?
GB the Ron Washintgton Death Watch - it was only a matter of time
Washington has a lot in common with Avery, without the initial success of course

Let's say you had to hire someone to coach a team other than football/baseball/basketball/hockey (or manage your business). Who would you rather have - Wade Phillips, Dave Tippett, Avery Johnson, or Ron Washington?

If my business required active hands then Avery for sure.

I'll say this. The wheels are totally off the Hardline. They really need some new blood in there. I can feel how burned out all of them are getting. I mean it's a really long show. 3 (er 3:30) to 7 is a really long time to carry. Urine goes what? 4-6pm?

And WTF is up with Doyle King doing traffic? If he's got the time to do traffic (and I hear him on NPR doing their traffic too) he can join the Hardline. Seriously, make this happen.

Corby's slowly killing me.

You can tell they are stretched thin. Plus, I am beginning to wonder if the end isn't near for Rhyner. Does his opinion even matter anymore? The guy has a hard time just keeping up with the sports page, much less having an intelligent opinion on things. Errrr, Cowboys suck, Little Mavs....Red Shoed Rangers....PAC-10, PAC-10.I still listen the Muse in the News every morn, try and catch Norm and BAD crosstalk at lunch, but I find myself punching out in the afternoons, unless it's trifecta talk or Nude Music Fridays.King would be gold, but I don't think he wants to do it. Seem to hear something like that.

I don't think Rhynes has had it just yet. It's really just ruining rhynes that the Rangers are so non-competitive. If they had half a chance of sniffing .500 he'd be into it. The dude lives and dies with the Rangers I think. Corby has already punched on them. At least Greggo would humor him with 5 year old sports points to bounce off.

They need to stop calling these days wifeswaps and just refer to them as everyone shows off day.

I am on board with these days when they happen , but it does turn into a show off day

Gordo has been doing his underbreath gay line of humor excessively

I am sure that the afternoon shift will be show off for Jr. That and it will be all sooners all the time

So was anyone qwatching Doocy tonight

Greggo was on

He admitted the illegal drug use

Would not say where he would be working next, but said that it might not be an all-sports station

He was fidgety as hell

This makes me sad.
It makes me sad because he didn't drag the Old Gray Wolf away with him. Can anyone really listen after 3 anymore? Rhyner (who's already dead) is in a full blown death spiral and the Snake have proven to be best in small doses. I keep waiting for something to change but until then I switch to Metallic at 3.

I DVR'd it and watched a little this morning. Greg looked fine, I guess. Looks like maybe he's put a little weight on, which is a good thing. He's really bald. Looked pretty nervous; his hands were shaking.
