No one wants to party with the NBA thread guys.

If we got a hockey thread cornhole, we'd have five fights, 201 beers, 17 steak sandwiches, 6 strippers, and one dead.

That's a party.  :coffee:

Just got home. Since we're "new" season ticket holders we were only garunteed tickets to one finals game, so we didn't have tickets tonight. So took the wife and kids to the plaza party, they gave out 200 wrist bands to control traffic just outside the arena. I work a block away so got 3 friends to walk with me to get enough wrist bands for wife and both boys.

Get downtown around 5 and get a spot close to the screen, youngest has to pee, so wife takes him. Standing there with my oldest, decked out in his preds gear and fully signed hat,  some random guy walks up and says, here, take your kid to the glass, I've got suite tickets now. And hands me two tickets to section 108, 1 row above Lexus lounge, 3 rows from glass on attack twice side. Then he walks away. I was mostly in shock and assumed it was a joke. Wife agrees to watch outside with our 2 year old, and in march me and my almost 5 year old (he turns 5 on the 8th)  and holy fcking ####, they scanned. Sure enough, some random stranger just gave us 2 tickets, 3 rows off the ice.

And what a fcking game. I think I spent half the game watching my son just smile and take it all in.

Go preds.

Would never happen at an NBA game.

I hate them as much as I love the Preds, but IMO there was no team better than the 1976-77 Canadiens. In fact, I would pick the '83-84 Oilers over the team the next season.
Here is the Top 10:

I'm surprised fans voted both the Oilers and the Pens team ahead of the Habs team from 76-77. Dryden, Lafleur, Robinson, Gainey, Richard, Lapointe, Cournoyer, Savard, etc. That team was stacked.

Something very loosely similar happened to me once, and I'll just say that is ####### awesome, dude! CONGRATS! I'll wager that is something your son will never ever forget (and you can bet the guy was looking down at you guys losing your #### and smiling ear to ear).

#### like that restores my faith in humanity.

Having trouble finding lines... anyone seen game/series lines posted yet?

Odds Shark has G5 at:

My site doesn't have them updated/posted but I would imagine they're back to near the prices before the series started. I got the Preds +145 couple days before game 1, can't remember what the Pens were.

Do you have a partial season ticket plan or a full season?  I understand only getting one game if you have a partial plan but that doesn't make any sense if it's a full plan.

Cool story about the free tix.

It's a full plan, but kicks in next season. We went to probably 30ish games this year, just buying day of's, and random free ones. They ran a promo that gave us early access to playoff tickets for this playoff for any one that bought season tickets for next season. So we've gotten to go to all the games that we could so far, but for the finals they only garunteed one game. We got to pick 3 or 4, and was on a waiting list for the other game. We're on a waiting list for game 6, if the presales don't sell out, we'll get an opportunity to buy them early at a discount.

They're also opening the arena for game 5, to watch the game inside, with all proceeds going to charity, so we'll be there Thursday, too.

So Crosby gets one in the loss.  Man, is he ever "terrible."

Also, Guentzel caddied for my buddy in our member/guest Invitational last year....said he would again this year, assuming this is over by Father's Day weekend (it obviously is) - I'm gonna laugh my balls off if he's toting the cup.

yeah.  He's got a lot of connections to guys I know.  He's pictured in one of the MN Gopher natty championship photos, as an 11 yr old holding the trophy.  I work with like 6 former Gophers, 3 of whom were captains, and 1 is a gold medal winner.

Even as someone with no real rooting Interest since my team didn't make it (25 years is the limit i guess), I gotta say this year's playoffs have been really really enjoyable.  Every round.  Glad the Preds evened things up to get a best of 3 for the Cup.  Would love to see them win it at home.

Go Preds!

Those are just Game 5 lines.. and I've seen them as high as +140ish for game 5. I'm guessing series price is still pretty close to 140-150 range.
yes I know they are game 5.  29 cents shaded that hard on the dog is gross.

no one has +140.  game 5 hasn't opened in most shops yet.

Stanley Cup Series Prices live at Sportsbook.ag

NASH +110 / PIT -130

I'm kinda shocked it's that close.....

it will never touch "+140ish" when the full market opens and Preds will close below +130.  I expect +110 close at standard 20 cent books
For G5? I would agree. If you like Preds then that's probably your best time to jump if you have an account or can get one up.

Was just going to post that.

$15 for general admission...$5 for season ticket holders I think.

Heard they were going to do a thing for $50 for the all inclusive zone.  But have not seen where for that.

Waiting on the wife to see if she is able to go too so I know to get 2 or 4 tickets.  Not sure my daughter really cares to go (or would complain about 9:30 that she is tired).

That is awesome.

Also you are a rat ******* (not your kid though...thats awesome for him...you just suck getting that  :D  )

Not quite as cool as the free upper level tickets I have gotten to use with my son and his boy scout troop. :lmao:

Stub Hub has some front row seats for $7900/each for Game 6.

cheaper for Preds fans to travel to Pittsburgh and buy a seat for game 5 than to stay home and go to game 6.
