Simply amazed that some on here can say they think the ending will be good when this season has almost entirely ignored most of the past 5 seasons barring a few inconsequential mysteries such as the skeletons. This entire season has lead up to a finale that I can basically guarantee will not only leave a vast majority of the mystery and wonder unexplained but will also prove once and for all that the writers had no idea what they were doing. They went on and on and when they finally had to wrap up the show they took it in an entirely different and divergent direction and barely maintained the narrative thread of the previous seasons.
They wasted an entire episode telling us about Jacob/MIB, when Jacob just told us virtually the same thing in two minutes... and much better.
I loved most of the journey but the ending has been underwhelming.
That's the cool thing about opinions. They're all different. With the exception of two things this season 1) Lapidus' "Well I guess she got her voice back" line and 2) the glow of the cave (and the accompanying music swell), which were both pretty cheesy, I disagree with all you haters. I think this season has been good, and I like where they have taken the show. I like the deeper meanings behind things, and having to think about things, not having them spoonfed to me. I think it's the best show that has ever been on television. I think that because of all the influences that have gone into it, and all the mysteries they have created. And you know what? If they don't payoff the Hurley bird, or who shot from the 2nd outrigger, I could really give two ####s.
Once the show is over, a lot of you haters will realize that there is nothing remotely as close to as good as this show on anywhere. Sunday will be bitter sweet. I really want to know what happens, but I don't want it to be over.My .02.
