Any last minute predictions on what the show's final scene will be? Like it or not, that will be the lasting memory for most of us for the show.
I think Jack will be waiting at the airport in 2004 for 815 to land to check up on the Losties that they are all there safe. No one will notice Jack although he will be visible and then Jack will go back to the island, like Jacob, to protect it. Everyone is safe while Jack keeps host to the island and Locke.Or, Walt is at school giving a presentation in his creative writing class. He wrote a series of stories similar to the Canterbury Tales about each of the Losties meeting on an island. Walt, wins every author award possible and becomes one of the 21st centuries best known authors. The End.

Sawyer , Ben & Jack all die on the island tonight . Not sure if Hurley or Kate will be the new Jacob. I kind of think we've already seen the last scene in this seasons opening credits with the island being underwater.don't know how Walt is going to figure into tonight

:lmao: I like this one.

I have really enjoyed this season, sans a few 'What?' moments. I think tonight's episode will be just fantastic for those that haven't taken this show to the highest heights of fandom.

Sure, I have questions that haven't been answered yet, and there will likely be some leftovers at the end, but I don't care. I've never gotten such viewing pleasure out of a TV series in my life. Believe me, I've seen quite a few that I loved, but this one is tops in my book.

To the creators, writers and producers of LOST......thank you very much for keeping me entertained for the last few years. I'll be a little sad after tonight's final episode.

This coming week is the final battle between the Lost fanboys and its detractors.
Do you think Mario Kart will be thrown back into the light cave?
:lmao:
You're the evil incarnate of this thread.
Interesting. I did not know I had a fanbase here at FBG. I should look into it to make a FaceBook fanpage or something.
We all love you, P-Kev.

Bold prediction:

Mario Kart will call the finale the greatest thing in the history of TV and will slurp the writers at least 5 or 6 more times.

The Dude will pick apart tiny details and call the finale disappointing.

I know, I know...out on a limb. But crazy things happen with this show.

Yeah, I don't think this is going to change many people's minds. The frustrated or bemused (hi) will remain so, and the fanboys will still be fanboys.

Question: The crawl on last night's replay of the pilot said that the hole in the middle of the island is being protected to keep hell from leaking out all over the world or something. Did we know that? I had family in for a visit when i was watching the episode going back to the birth of Jacob & MiB and they yammered so much i mighta missed this, but neither do i remember it being discussed in this thread. Anyone?

I think it'll be a good ending. Whether you think they had it all plotted out from the start or not (I don't think it matters) they've certainly had a long time to decide on how to end it. Looking forward to it.

And this. Never missed an ep of Alias (after i discovered it), never missed an ep of Lost. As a person who enjoys writing, I have a genuine debt to JJAbrams's writers/producers for a decade of extraordinary plotting. Even if they dont end up dotting all the "i"s & crossing all the "t"s, i've rarely seen it done better in any visual medium.

Bold prediction:I have to work tonight and won't get home until ~11:30 pm. Start downloading at that time and it won't get done till ~3:00 am. Won't watch it until then or early tomorrow morning. Have all the fun in the world watching it live tonight and talk all you want. This is my last post/reading this thread until I watch it.Please no PM's as my inbox is full and will not accept any.

I agree at this point its a self fulfilling prophecy for most of us. If you've been complaining about the show for the past four months, you'll probably hate the finale and will be act as if you've been forced and emotionally raped by the writers to continue watching. I've never geeked myself out on all the theories and I simply watch the show because its entertaining. I enjoy shows like Dexter and Breaking Bad but neither have been as entertaining of a ride that Lost has been. Maybe they don't answer all the questions but overall I tip my hat to the writers for creating a truly unique show. Maybe the quality of the last few seasons hasn't been up to par with season 1, but its still quite entertaining. I don't see it as a complete fail like the show Heroes or anything.

very disappointed in the final season :lmao: . not even going to watch tonight, will watch NBA. will DVR and watch when i am bored

I have masterfully planned my daughters birthday party today and kept her up past nap time so she will be asleep and I can watch the whole 4 and a half hour extravaganza. Good or bad, I am pumped

This made me laugh - and I know everyone has me wrong on this show - not a hater at all. I have high hopes for each episode - and again tonight.I just can't get by some of the writing that glosses over things that should be significant. The funny part is that I usually cite an occurence in the show that seems illogical - I get a lot of hate for it - but few, if any (sack & bugs), respond to my comment about the show.

I'm feeling kind of "X-Filed" today. Don't know how much I believe the whole "we've had this all planned out" line anymore. I still think they had their big picture formulated, but they worked out most of it as they went along. Can't see myself ever watching this on dvd again once it's off the air. There's just way too many plot elements and mysteries that seemed huge back when first revealed that have now turned out to be red herrings or unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Just gonna go with the flow, enjoy the last few hours and take it for what it was: a fun show that drew you in with its ever spinning mysteries that most of the time led not to answers but to another mystery. In the end, it's entertainment and diversion. Thanks for the fun and the memories, it'll soon be time to move on.
  I never really bought that. Its been fun though but as a lost Junkie I really dont care much about tonight which is weird. This season hasfelt like a big sell out anyway.

It's been a great ride, I've really enjoyed this season and I can't wait for the finale. I watched a bunch of Season 1 episodes this weekend to get primed for tonight. What an amazing show this has been. I'm    all at the same time.

Does anybody think the Lost finale will have been directly influenced by the Sopranos finale? That was left ambiguous and the fans for the most part were dissatisfied. I don't really care how this series ends, as long as it ends, as opposed to one of those endings that leave people wondering what will happen after the screen fades to black.

Here's a question for you guys. What's your definition of the title 'Lost' as it pertains to this story. Is it so literal as to simply mean a group of people lost on an island, or does the title strive for something more?

Also, imagine you're a writer on this show and you know how the entire story will go before episode one begins filming. What's your suggestion for the title of the show?

So what time does this whole thing start tonight?

I may actually watch it live for the first time tonight. Started watching season 1 a few months back. Just finished the last few episodes this past week.

I hate to ask this but I'm accessing via mobile and can't find the answer via google search

Can someone tell me the entire Lost schedule for tonight, plot episodes, post finale shows, etc, with times. All I can find is that the 2 hour finale starts at 9 eastern. Thanks.

 too. (didn't see last night though)

Is anyone, anywhere, really enjoying this two hour lovefest before the show? I thought this was going to be a recap with popups and maybe some things that would help me remember key points before the show. Instead, I get "I didn't realize how big Lost was going to be until I saw however many million viewers we had and I thought, this could be something special". Yuck.

if it's not too late for you, the 2 hour pre-game show (recap of the entire series) started at 6pm central (7pm eastern), the 2 1/2 hour finale lasts from 8pm central to 10:30pm central (9pm eastern to 11:30 pm central), the local news comes on, at least here, at 10:30 pm central (11:30pm central), the post-game show (Jimmy Kimmel Live with the 3 alternate endings) airs from 11:05pm central to 12:05am central (12:05am eastern to 1:05am eastern)

So I am watching the pre game right now and something just dawned on me. I dont remember if this was answered. maybe Sack or Mario can address it

If Jacob brought everyone to the island, why was it the fact that Desmond didnt punch the numbers that actually made the plane crash. Just thought about that as they were explaining Desmonds role

Lost has had mostly awesome first and last episodes of the seasons so I have no doubt that this will follow suit. End of an era tonight.

I think it's more like Jacob was the hand and Desmond was the tool, or whatever that saying is?

Well I got one guess right for the finale with Juliet being Jack's ex.

That's probably the only guess I'll get right. I'll take it.

So after years of research into looking for a candidate to succeed him, Jacob anoints Jack to protect the island from bad Locke. Then less than 1 day into his new gig, Jack practically takes him where Jacob told him not to.
