I agree. Based on the Others we saw, they certainly didn't look physical enough (looked like women/children's legs) to overtake 23 adults including Mr. Echo. A guy like Ethan could have easily infiltrated their camp. Maybe they even had some infighting and tail-enders killed other tail-enders because of the trust issue.Just a thought, do we really know that Ethan/Boat Guys are the same "Others" as these young people. I know my thought is out there, but I still could easily see Ethan/Boat Guys kind of being subservient to these kids who possess some sort of mind control/psychic abilities. Maybe Ehtan/Boat Guys were Dharma employees but got taken over by their expirement.
This is just a wild theory, but I like others thought the whole leg thing last night was odd to the point that we were supposed to think it was odd.
Didn't Mr. Echo say something like "He was a good man" after he said his name? I could have sworn he said a nice remark about him. It made me think that he was one of the tail-enders that got killed. If he was an infiltrator then he probably used a fake name and Mr. Echo would have said something a bit more disparraging about him, I think.Edit to Add: I do agree that I think they were infiltrated by someone like Ethan. If the Others did it to Jack's crew, it would make a lot of sense that they would do the exact same thing to the tail-enders.

Playing the Lost numbers is just another way to decrease your expected value. I can guarantee there are more people playing those numbers than random numbers - so the payout is coming down.

The legs definately repeated. I noticed that. I think it was quiet when you watched the legs go by because we were viewing things from Jin's point of view. He was so focused on what he was seeing everything else seemed blank to him. Also, I think they were defiantely the "others". I had the feeling that they have a community and it's not only men. Eko may have sensed Michael and stepped away thinking he would approach Jin if he were alone.I personally loved the story line. Getting to see more of Jin 
and Sun is great. Also helps move things along because they can have 2 flashbacks in 1 time period. Someone mentioned that finding a ring was a waste of time. I don't think so. It shows that the people on the beach are settling in and waiting. That nothing big is going on. They can't always have one catastrophy after another. And I distinctly remember Danielle saying "she" in reference to her baby. This was in the last episode of Season 1.

I'm not sure why the director would choose do to this, especially since the perspective on the legs never changed.Is Mr Eko from the tail end of the plane? The rest of the tailies seem to be very comfortable with him but I just get the feeling he doesn't quite belong.As for the loss of the 23 tailies I doubt it was a full on battle. I imagine they were picked off by one's and two's as they went into the jungle in search of supplies. How often have a pair of survivors gone into the jungle only to get separated in an instant.Lastly I think Sun is vastly under-rated on the board. She definitely belongs in the discussion with Kate/Shannon/Claire/Rodriguez.One more new episode before the break? Seems like they should leave us with more of a cliffhanger than this week.

Yes, he did.Personally, I think everyone is going off too much on "The Others" as opposed to "others." Remeber the conversation was Jin's "pidgen English". He didn't say "The Others", he said "others". The tail-enders started with 23 people. Most are gone. To Echo, the ones who are gone would be "others". "The Others" is Danielle's term. How would Echo's group happen to have the same terminology unless they met her, too? What if some of the tailenders got the sickness just like Danielle's group and became homicidal (or maybe just highly contagious). The remaining healthy tailenders would surely try to avoid these others from their group, and might even have to kill them, even if they were "good men" at one time. When Jin asked about "others" Echo would logically think he meant the others of the 23 they had talked about.
