that’s the 14 year old who has a 2 year old daughter and drives around with a bottle of vodka or tequila? the interweb makes things messy, but i would like to for once not convict someone based on social media garbage. i think i can wait for some facts here before deciding if this guy ruined his life.

The Cubs getting Jose Cuas from KC is proving to be an under-the-radar great move. He has already entered the circle of trust (David Ross brought him into a game in the 7th inning with the bases loaded). He has that funk-arific delivery that the Cubs seemed to have worked on a little bit to help maintain control.
I hope Nelson Velazquez gets a shot in KC. He has talent but was blocked in the crowded Cubs outfield.

He has hit home runs in his first two games with the Royals.
One of those rare trades that may help both teams. Glad to hear Cuas doing well. He has a great story if the announcers haven’t told it yet.

It's incredibly nebulous at this point. Completely agree with Rock and ChemX, let it play out before convicting the guy. Some on this site did that last year with the Bills punter. No reason to repeat it.

Yea the early indications are not good, that’s for sure. Some DR reporter today said he’s never playing again. I’ve never heard of him but people say he’s a legit reporter down there.

Braves having a great regular season but like back in the day with Maddox, Glavine and Smoltz this season will be judged in the playoffs. It’s not their MO (lately) to spend on a veteran but I was kind of hoping they would - they can win with Fried, Strider and Elder but Fried is coming back and the other two are throwing a ton of innings. They should have the division wrapped up early so hopefully they can have them rested and sharp for October.

yep, teams are going to be concerned with this being his second Tommy John surgery. It took him 2 years to heal and be able to pitch after the first one and Art Moreno is the type of owner to still pay him a 500 million dollar contract.

If the Padres lose tonight, the Nats and Padres will have identical records, which is not something I considered in the realm of possible outcomes for this stage of the season.

Seattle tied for 1st in the AL West? I thought they'd be a wild card team but felt for sure Houston would run away with that division. Being a lifelong Rangers' fan, their fade was the easiest thing to predict in sports. Go Mariners!
Baltimore leading the mighty AL East on Sept. 1????? WHAT????? With one of the worst owners in all of sports to boot. If I can't root for Seattle, this will be my 2nd favorite team. Future Portland Rays still competing, but their injuries and their pedo SS will be the death of them. LOL Yankees. HA HA!
Does anybody want to win the AL Central? Cleveland signing bearded Gelato tells me they're not serious. They should just contract that whole division, in all honesty. Too bad Boston doesn't play in that one.

Can the Cubs overtake the Brewers in the Central? Would be a fun story for sure and something to cheer for. The Reds were fun for a while, but they're a ways away.
Dodgers wrapped up their division in May. I don't see how the San Diego GM can remain employed after this disgrace.
