I just caught up on the last 3 episodes. Man this show has really hit its stride. I think it was really hurt in the middle by having to bide its time until Winter Soldier released before they could really move the plot forward. Hopefully they didn't lose too many viewers during that time to recover. Glad to hear it's back for season 2.
One thing that bugged me a little is how quickly everyone other than Fitz jumped to the "Ward is definitely a bad guy" belief. Especially Skye. All she knew was that Ward said he was with Eric recently and then she found Eric dead. It seems odd that she would jump straight to "Ward did it and is a bad guy" and not assume (or even think) that someone had infiltrated the base and killed Eric in the last few minutes since he and Ward separated. I mean, it's not like Hydra had been infiltrating secret SHIELD bases left and right or anything, right?
Granted, Ward tipped his hand a few minutes later by lying to her, but by then she had already had her breakdown in the bathroom, written the message on the wall, etc. Seemed like a big leap from just finding Eric's body.
Then, even after Ward was revealed as a bad guy to the team they all just immediately believed it. In the real world, sure I could buy that. But we're talking about a universe where, in the last few months we've seen no less than 3 different ways that people can be controlled including one that is the primary weapon of the enemy they're currently fighting against and another that is being stored at the facility that Ward just came back from.
Granted, they were all right and Ward is just a (conflicted) bad guy, but it just seemed unrealistic that they were all so willing to immediately accept it given the circumstances. Heck, Jack Bauer's colleagues were willing to give him more of a benefit of the doubt and they weren't in the middle of a war with an enemy who's primary weapon is mind control.
