The Captain's character just got a whole lot more interesting.
as is Detective Kellerman's.I'd speculate that their not aging and their ability to touch the obelisk have the same root cause. So Sky's mother and father both dont (didnt age). Is this because of the obelisk thing? Does this mean Sky wont get old?
Sky's father aged I think. When they did the flash back at the end when he finds Sky's mom dead, they digitally made him look much younger than he was in present time.So Sky's mother and father both dont (didnt age). Is this because of the obelisk thing? Does this mean Sky wont get old?

Could it be that they just age slowly rather than don't age? That's how Skye's dad could have looked 'younger' in the flashback.Sky's father aged I think. I obviously don't know for sure but I don't think so.Could it be that they just age slowly rather than don't age? Right, that was my entire point. However, the fact that her mother was the same in 1944 and modern day would say at best they age freaking slowly if at all.
Yes. I was watching this with the family tonight, had a tough time following dialogue between her and Coulson because I was too focused on her. That white top was awesome.Oh, and I love how this show has evolved. Some actors and actresses have the ability to completely dominate and steal a scene they are in.
After watching this episode, I conclude that Adrienne Palicki's bosom possesses this ability.
LOL, I was travelling and missed this update, but when I watched this episode over the weekend I will say that the white top drew my focus in that scene. Did I miss anything important? I think she has overtaken my favorite female on the show over Skye.Yes. You pretty much nailed most of it.Last night provided enough clues, IMO, to confirm a few theories about where the show is going, so I'll post a guess at what the winter cliffhanger will be in spoiler tags ...
The song playing during the dream sequence was Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built For Two), which is a pretty big clue that Skye is Daisy Johnson and "the Doctor" is Calvin Zabo/Mr. Hyde. And, of course everything that Raina said, including mentioning the Kree, seems to confirm that the Diviner contains Terrigen Mist that is tied to the Inhumans.
So here's my guess on the winter cliffhanger.
Coulson several times mentions testing the structural integrity of the tunnel to the lost city. Chekhov once said that you never introduce a structurally unstable cavern in Act I without having it collapse in Act V. Daisy Johnson has seismic powers in the comics, so I'm guessing that after all the yadda yadda yadda with her father, revealing her name, Skye is exposed to the Terrigen Mist and the city begins to collapse. It looks like the team is going to be trapped and Skye is able to somehow stop the cave-in and everyone wonders what the hell she's become. Cue Agent Carter promo and promo for the back 12 in March.
That was a badass play by Skye. I loved it as well.Loved that episode. Especially the shooting of Ward.
This. It really does feel like you need to have read the comics to understand what the hell is going on most of the time. It detracts from the enjoyment of the show.I'm enjoying this show a lot but I will say that as someone who doesn't read comics all of the big reveals meant nothing to me so I couldn't enjoy them as much as people who knew who "Daisy" is and Cal and all of that. I had to read recaps after the show to find out why everyone was so excited and what it all meant. I'm sure they'll explain in time what Skye has become but for those of us who have no idea what's going on in the comics universe it does feel like we're way behind the curve in terms of some of the enjoyment level.
I have to say that I agree with this. I don't think it would be AS big a deal if they threw a little more of their effects budget towards the super power stuff, and maybe explained a bit more.This. Maybe she's born with it.Agreed that I feel left out of some of this stuff. Thankfully a good friend of mine runs the welcome to level 7 podcast which helps a lot.I have to say that I agree with this. I don't think it would be AS big a deal if they threw a little more of their effects budget towards the super power stuff, and maybe explained a bit more.I assume that "Mr. Hyde" has some sort of strength power associated with rage? I could tell that Cal is crazy when he gets mad and that he is a killer but nothing really jumped out as him being some sort of super villain. I mean, if he got into it with Ward, would he have actually won the fight? From the show I'd have to assume not but from the way people are talking about him I get the feeling I have that wrong.This. Also, what "power" did Sky exhibit? The ability to spontaneously generate wind in her hair as she sticks out her chest?

No idea, assuming he's like Reyna and Skye. I read some of the spoilers, so I don't want to go further (none mentioned him, just Skye and her dad). I agree a little with the posts above about feeling a little left out, but honestly it hasn't bothered me that much. I think this season has been really solid and I like the tie in to the movies, just makes it better IMHO.Who was the guy with no eyes at the end?
My daughter and I don't read the comics either so most we have to learn on our own. Once we get a name for an unknown character, we use our trusty Marvel Encyclopedia to see what that means in the comics world to catch ourselves up.No idea, assuming he's like Reyna and Skye. I completely disagree. I think not knowing the backstory makes it more interesting. This stuff is all new and fresh with every where to go if you don't know the spoilers. It's just a different type of enjoyment. Sure, the people who know all the comics will be a step ahead of you, but who cares? #### them. They'll be pissed when there is a twist that isn;t "cannon". It's fine. There isn't right way about it. I'm personally going to back off the theories and spoilers and take it in as it is being told to me in the medium that get me interested. I think you may have set off a powder keg there. Some people might consider it a shot across their bow. But you were really on the ball. Don't let it stop you from firing. Go ahead and give 'em a full broadsides. Others might even pirate your ideas.I completely disagree. I think not knowing the backstory makes it more interesting. Awesome episode, imo.No commentary on this week's episode? I thought it was a great episode. I don't know anything about the inhumans and very little about civil war but its sure looking like Agents of Shield is going to be a lynchpin of ushering in the next phase of the MCU. One thing's for sure, the days of no super powers on this show seem to be over.
Who has superpowers in the main cast besides Daisy Skye?Rich Conway said:All the superpowers is turning me off to the show. It's turning into X-Men at this point.
Just seems we're going that direction. Who knows, maybe that won't happen. Just saying I liked the show better at the beginning before all the alien/superpower stuff became the focus.Who has superpowers in the main cast besides Daisy Skye?Rich Conway said:All the superpowers is turning me off to the show. That's how I feel too. I've enjoyed the episodes but it does feel like a little zip is missing. But overall this show really has come a long way since it first started. So much better now.The midseason break really killed the momentum of the show
Agreed, I like the shows, but the break for Agent Carter (which I enjoyed as well) seemed to make you forget where we were. It's a shame because the season was rolling so well. That's how I feel too. Haven't figured it out yet, other than they seem to think they're doing the right thing while so are our heroes.Nothing on the weird other Shield group running around?
