No clue, though wouldn't surprise me if it's a normal carrier.. unless the day ever comes they decide otherwise.

I'm sure they will get to the special cargo at some point. You'd think they wouldn't need to sink a whole carrier if it's just another diviner, so probably something big?

Maybe Graviton's containment thing?

Well, I guess next week we find out why May is called "The Cavalry". And more Ward it sounds like.

Ok episode this week. Coulson and Hunter make a fun pair on the run. Not sure what to make of the Skye story line. Good to see Fitz and Simmons back on the same side.

Thought Skye and Electric Boy had some chemistry. Something she never had with Grant.

So who is the kid, Electro? Who I didn't even know was a Marvel character until I had to fight him in Marvel Contest of Champions.

Electro doesn't make sense, from a mythology perspective of the character. Not sure about Lincoln, but the Inhumans concept is definitely changing the landscape. Due to Fox owning the rights to "Mutants", Marvel has opted to go down the Inhuman route as a substitute. There are a lot of "mutants" out there in the MU, but hard to narrow down into who this may be in the MCU.

I missed the name of the place they took Skye - their refuge. Looking at the location, I'm wondering if it was K'un L'un, which is the area in the Himalays where Iron First first gathered his powers. With an Iron Fist series coming out on Netflix (cast TBD), It would be interesting if this was a sort of tie-in from AoS to begin that characters journey. Here's a snippet on K'un L'un.

Daniel Rand is the son of Wendell Rand, who had, as a youth, visited the mystic city of K'un-Lun, which materialized in the Himalayas once a decade; founded roughly a million years ago by extraterrestrials, K'un-Lun was co-ruled by the aliens' descendants and powerful beings called the Dragon Kings, More on Marvel.com: http://marvel.com/universe/Iron_Fist_(Danny_Rand)#ixzz3WuS439mo

Liked the episode, nice twst with the mother and agree the new guy was much better than Ward. Only 3 episodes left :-( Went by quick.

Nothing official on renewal but rumors on the internet that ABC is developing a spiniff show based on "story elements" from these last 3 episodes. No idea what that means for Agent Carter or which story elements: this new Inhuman group, the alternate Shield, a Grant Ward show?

The way the show is going now with Bobbi/Mack vs Coulson/May, it could be a Secret Avengers type of show. In the comic anthology, the SA team consisted of Daisy Johnson and other "inhumans" who work under Fury's direction to take on special assignments. I think it would be interesting to see AoS carry on the "inhumans" angle that way leading, while AoS continues more of the espionage/hydra type of story lines - with maybe some crossovers.

I always enjoyed the Mockingbird/Hawkeye storylines. I would enjoy seeing Hawkeye make a few appearances on AoS.

At the rate they are spinning shows off, soon everyone will have their own.

Fun episode. Good to see Mike Peterson back in the fold.

"Honestly, I just wanted to see the look on your face. Priceless."

Don't feel bad. Love all the Marvel stuff the last decade but was never able to follow the comics as a kid, so I really don't even try to find the comic tie-ins. INstead, I simply enjoy the stories being told now for what they are.

Still view it as a show that started off slow, but ramped it up later in the first season. Lately though, it seems a bit meh... but I'm sticking with it!

Really? It's been fun this season. They're building up to ultron and the spin off but it's entertaining.

May rocks as always.

Agreed, although I hope they tie-up this SHIELD vs. SHIELD storyline soon. Already bored with it.

It would be awesome if the season finale directly ties into Ultron and they kinda hinted at it.

Always figured there was a tragic story behind May.

It was kinda weird seeing her with a much softer, family oriented side. Talking about having kids, loving her husband, etc. Really drove her to want to save the girl. Then having to kill the girl turned her into the hardcore ice queen she is today.

I agree, the SHIELD vs SHIELD thing hasn't been that great. I hope they resolve it quickly.

About the only good things that have come from it in my opinion... more opportunities to view Bobbi's bosom... and that it seems to have brought Fitz-Simmons back together again.

I thought the show lost a lot when their dynamic got ruined by the injury and by Gemma's anti-powers thing.

My son and I have enjoyed this season. I wish they didn't have as many random breaks. I like how Lost/TWD did/do it with the straight run of the season and then break. Do that or do the normal Fall and Spring split, but don't do the few episodes, break and then more and then break and so on. The only reason for breaks should be mid season finale, season finale or special events (like a Sunday show being off for the Super Bowl).

I think the show started season 1 a little slow, but has been solid ever since they found their footing in season 1. That said, the shield vs. shield does need to be wrapped up soon.

Wow, pretty powerful explanation of why May is the way she is.

There are 5 more episodes this season, in 5 straight weeks. The episode names for the next three are out, but not for the last two, which air after Age of Ultron hits theaters. I wonder how much of a tie in there will be, or if it's just a coincidence (doubt it, since Marvel has been pretty meticulous in their planning).

So I see Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) is not in "Age of Ultron". How can this be? Are the Avengers just going to continue to think he's dead?

Really good stretch of episodes, though I agree Shield v Shield needs to wrap up. They did a good job of making Cal a sympathetic character.

Seems like all of the Shield vs. Shield is wrapping up pretty soon, I've enjoyed it but it is time to bring things back together. I've really liked the season so far.

My Ward theory:

Ward has Agent 33 brainwashed is why she's so in to him. Now he's left her there at SHIELD for whatever nefarious purposes he has.

I sure hope so anyway. I don't want them turning him back into a good guy. Cheers to Simmons for trying to kill him.

I kind of like the ":heart of gold" Ward that no one is willing to forgive

i do not want them just accepting him back, but if he is some mercenary they use or encounter from time to time that'd work

I know this show won't win any awards, but they should get some sort of technical nod at least for that shootout scene with Skye in the lab last night. That was all one take with some amazing fight scene choreography and the tracking camera behind her. Just brilliant work.

Agreed, though I wish they had worked in her powers a little. Shoot this guy, blast another, during a reload have to use them, etc.

She did blast three guys right at the top, mainly just to impress Ward.

I was going to post something about that scene also. Not exactly on par with the Daredevil Ep. 2 fight, but pretty darn close. By far the best we've seen on this show so far, and maybe the best fight sequence I've seen on a normal broadcast show.

Yeah, and maybe that led me to hope for more during that scene. Very cool scene, wish it had been a little cooler. :nerd:

Show has really found its place now. Love the virtually seamless lead-in to Avengers. I almost feel like I have to see Avengers this weekend now just because I want to be up-to-date when next week's episode airs. Which I'm sure is the point, but kudos to Marvel for pulling off the coordination and weaving stories together without losing any of either the show or movie's ability to stand on its own.

MIND BLOWN!!!! Excellent ending to this ep, although when did Skye become Black Widow? Felt that was a little too good for her, but was an awesome sequence so I am not complaining.

Excellent run in to Ultron.

By the way, for those seeing the movie early on, please avoid posting any unhidden Ultron spoilers in here. Bad enough if MAoS has any. :(

Maybe its an unpopular opinion, but I think the tie-in to the Avengers has been handled much worse than the tie in to the Winter Soldier was. The fall of SHIELD had real consequences on the show itself. It wasn't just a promotional tie-in to the movie, but it was the event that supplied the narrative momentum to the entire last third of last season.

This season, we have two episodes left. It's hard to imagine that what we've seen had done anything other than provide an Easter Egg as to how the Avengers know where to find Loki's staff (and the show hasn't even explained why this is a mission for the Avengers and not SHIELD) and that "Theta Protocol" is probably the Ultron project. There's not enough time for that to have a real impact on the show. I suppose that Gonzalez and Coulson's different perspectives on powered people is meant to foreshadow some Civil War stuff, but the show hasn't really left itself much time to deal with that either.

What about Coulson's "spoiler alert" about Fury? Don't you think that will have an impact?

I did dig her going all badass like that.

Very cool.

What do you think that Gonzales has in the hold of his ship that is the big secret that Coulson dropped on him that he was privy to? Big enough item that made them try to sink the ship vs letting Hydra have it at the beginning of this story arc.
