I don't know squat and I have no idea where this will take me (I'm not suggesting that Sinn Fein is also clueless), but I'm gonna use this thread as a spingboard to be more politically active.

Mike Espy is credentialed:  3-time Rep in Congress and former Secretary of Agriculture.  He scored 46% of the vote against Cindy Hyde-Smithin the 2018 senate election, which is amazing to me given my familarity with MS demographics.  He's a Democrat, but he's got a bit of a conservative streak (I like).

Me and my bulldog have time to kill, and we're gonna kick C H-S to the curb!

I like to suggest people start at their local level. You will still be helping the Senate candidate and have a chance to meet people who can directly connect you to the glamour campaigns if you want. 
 

Click here and click on your county.

Find your local district from the map (you might know already but even civically engaged people often have no idea), Google “MS District 7 Democrats” or whatever it is, and go to their next meeting. Ask the chair what they need help with.
