It could have been the crowd because I can not think of a better show then Thursday. I like the setlist Thursday better as wellAnd I leave every show feeling the next one will be better so that says a lotShow last night being talked as one of if not the best ever. Crowd was supposedly top notch
Set List: Corduroy, Hail Hail, Do The Evolution, World Wide Suicide, Got Some, Breath, Nothing Man, I’m Open - dedicated to Howard Zinn, Unthought Known, Grievance, Amongst The Waves, Present Tense, Not For You/Modern Girl (Sleater Kinney), Push Me Pull Me, Rats, Daughter/WMA, The Fixer, Why Go1st encore: The End with string quartet, Just Breathe with string quartet, Lukin II with string quartet, Black Red Yellow, Sweet Lew, Given To Fly, Spin The Black Circle, Rearviewmirror2nd encore: Wasted Reprise, Better Man/Save It For Later (Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling), Black, The Real Me (Townshend), Hunger Strike with Ben Bridwell from “Band Of Horses” (Cornell), Alive, Kick Out The Jams (Davis, Kramer, Smith, Thompson, Tyner), Yellow Ledbetter/Star Spangled Banner
Black Keys opened Thursday, BOH on Friday. Black Keys were the better of the two, translating better to the arena atmosphere. BOH was solid, but just not really made for the arena level. Bridwell did nail "Hunger Strike", though:I thought Black Keys were opening the MSG dates. Did Bridwell just come to hang out? Saw him lurching about on Letterman the other day.
Couple of great shows there
what songs are they?received the 2009 Xmas single yesterday. Anyone have it in mp3 form yet?

www.gremmie.net"Turning Mist" a Mike McCready voiced ballad. Boring, and he can't sing any better than Stone"Hawaii-781"? from a Vedder solo show. Duet with some Hawaiian dude I guess. Mellow, slow, pretty solid. Wish they'd release one of these full shows in this kind of quality.Web release of "Better Days" is a nice little score this week anyway.I'm not even sure. He really was a bit of a #### back then, but damn if it didn't seem awesome to this 17 year old‘Deep’ lyrics are altered to “young virgin from Memphis.” Similarly, the ‘Suspicious Minds’ lead out from ‘Daughter’ is undoubtedly a tribute to playing in “Elvis territory.” Ed becomes annoyed with all of the “Eddie” chants: “The only ####### reason you guys chant my name is cuz I’m the only guy in the band whose name has two syllables. We call Stone ‘Stoney.’ You could chant that …” and leads the audience to chant “Stoney, Stoney.” After ‘State,’ Ed asks if anyone is in love and then asks, “It’s OK to be gay in Memphis, isn’t it? All right, let’s take a vote … yes? no? Anyone who said ‘no,’ you’re a ####### #######. Grow up, get a life!” Some really long haired kid from the crowd gets to share the mic with Ed on ‘Leash,’ after which he does a glorious dive off the stage. At the start of the second encore, Ed comes out and says, “Thank you, thank you so much,” in his best Elvis voice. Then, “Mike McCready starts this song. If he doesn’t start it in the next 15 seconds, I’m gonna kick his ###.” Then Stone joins in: “The question is, can he play it with that stupid mask on?” and Mike starts off ‘Baba O’Riley.’ At one point, Ed makes gestures like he will jump into the crowd and, instead, tosses Mike into the swarm. In the brief ‘Street Fighting Man’ jam, Ed changes the lyrics from “In sleepy London town…” to “In sleepy Memphis town…”.
Icon's posting regarding grooveshark and some of the old PJ stuff they have on there (including a killer Dock of the Bay from '94 in Murphreesboro) led me to read some of the show descriptions from back then on Two Feet Thick...Here's one from 03/25/94 in Memphis:

~blabbermouth.netPEARL JAM reportedly told a crowd at a music festival in Portugal over the weekend that the band has played its "last gig" for a long time, according to NME.com. During the Optimus Alive! 10 event in Lisbon on Sunday night (July 11), singer Eddie Vedder read a few words off a sheet of paper in Portuguese in which he said, "Thank you for coming to our last show. Not our last ever, but our last in a long time."The band played the rest of its 24-song set without Vedder saying anything further about the hiatus.

As we reported this morning, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder told the crowd at Lisbon's Optimus Alive festival Sunday night: "Thank you for coming to our last show. Not our last ever, but our last in a long time." But despite the ominous proclamation, longtime Pearl Jam publicist Nicole Vandenberg tells us in an email that it's nothing serious. "He says that at the end of all tours, because the tour has ended. The remark may have gotten a little lost in translation."
Pearl Jam doesn't have any shows lined up at the moment, and Vandenberg did not elaborate on any of the band's future plans, or whether they had finished their support of last November's September's record, Backspacer.
No one buzzed in. The exact wording was: This band was once named for NBA star Mookie Blaylock, but decided to go with a more well-"Preserved" name.Did anyone miss/get it?Pearl Jam was a $2000 question on Jeopardy in a rock music category. Not to mention he was speaking PortugueseAlmost assuredly lost in translationThey might take the rest of the year off, but touring is just too profitable for them to stop, especially if they are having as much fun as they seem to be on stageI can only imagine the gnashing of teeth going on at the PitNothing to read from it, love Ed but he says all kinds of baloney

ever sinceI remember those boxes. What a waste of cardboardStill remember when I bought Ten. 7th grade field trip at the mall...we went and saw A Christmas Carol and then ate in the food court. Afterwards everyone ran around. The girls went to the girls store, and all of the guys either went to the music store or the sports store. I had 2 CD's (well those huge rectangular boxes) in my hands: Eric Clapton Unplugged and Ten. A friend convinced me Ten was the way to go b/c Unplugged only had 2 good songs. Got back to school and I left Ten in my locker. Made my mom drive me back there on Saturday to get it.ever since
God I wish I could be out there in Mountainview for the Bridge School/20th anniversary shows

They said it was in honor of PJ's 20 years, so I'd assume it's temporary. Is this a permanent channel? Seems hard to believe, but the reports I'm reading have no end date and make it sound as if it is.Pearl Jam Radio starts today at 6PM eastern on Sirius 17 and XM 39.
