Ten Club Pre-sale tickets available as two optionsReserved/GA Weekend Package- A Pair of Reserved Seats for one night and a Pair of GA tickets for the other night. $334/weekendGeneral Admission Weekend Package- A Pair of GA lawn seats for both nights. $252/weekend
Not bad at all.
Not at all. $85/show/person for that lineup is pretty damn solid for the reserved/ga deal. That's the one I'll be rolling with.

Yeah, she's cool with it as long as the boys are on a good schedule by then. I'm basically saving up all of my goodwill for the shows. She's really cool about it and she knows it's a big show and all....but there's still a chance that it might not happen. I booked a southwest flight, so if I miss that, I'll just have to use the credit to go somewhere else. I'll be taking a risk buying the tickets from 10c, but if I can't make it; I think I'm going to send a copy of my ID up with a B&M friend that is going and get him to sell the tix.

So if I want to brush up on my Finn over the summer....he basically plays live half his stuff and half Split Enz/Crowded House covers? Doesn't seem like an easy task.

Fired up for hopefully Ed/Finn "I Got You"....head that a decade ago haha.

All artists to perform both days. Thoughts?
Lame.I'm officially out. None of these other artists really intrigued me, and to know that it will essentially be the same show two days in a row removed any temptation for me. Two nights of PJ would be awesome, but dealing with a festival environment for just two PJ shows isn't worth it to me.

I've got a feeling that these 2 PJ shows are going to be pretty damn special. Just skip the other bands if that's not your thing. B/c of the way they teased this show about 6 months ago, the entire fan club has been waiting in anticipation and know its going to be something big. Since there is no US tour that is known right now, I'd be willing to bet it's going to be the biggest collection of fan club members ever; which means the crowd will be stellar and the band will reciprocate.Just my 2 cents.

the only issue with that is the GA seating. you'll be in the other county over if you wait until it's even within 2 hours of PJ hitting the stage. nice idea, but really for me, it's a little steep in price to see 2 PJ shows. i could care less about the other bands/artists.

yeah, i guess I can understand the GA seating arguement...but the cost is only $63/night, that's cheaper than my Philly Spectrum tickets were IIRC.

I think these are going to be "special" shows also, but even if they're just regular old PJ shows, I'm fine with that. It's been too long since I've seen them live. I mean my, god...almost a full year has passed. I'm not made of stone.

I agree, Tiger. I think there are gonna be some great things happening, and likely including some special guests during the PJ sets not performing during the day.And Bull, I know what you are saying too...but if you luckily get reserved one night and you want to hear the other bands play (which I'm gonna try to do at least once each...the schedule will be important), then you head in early on your GA day and set camp in the 10C lawn area. If that area turns out to be lame or small, then get a good spot elsewhere, which may be the shark move depending on how it's set up inside. Either way, let the doobs rip.

I've never seen Harper play with PJ in person...that would be sweet. Love when they do Mosquito.

Was at the PJ/Young encore extravaganza in Toledo...and I'd love to be a part of that again. Mezmorizing.

If Cornell showed up and they played some Temple I'd poop my pants.

REM isn't touring...I'd dig some Stipe.

The possibilities are out there. And if they don't happen, PJ will be in rare form anyways probably playing intense long shows.

I hear Queens is gonna crush...and Finn/Strokes will be good. Dude at work says he loves Joseph Arthur so I'm gonna grab something of his from the library to see what he's all about...

Hope I get duckets lol...

OK people, stop changing my mind. I'm trying to make myself feel better about not being able to afford this this summer.
Lineup sucks. Too expensive.PJ is old and washed up.East Troy is the ghetto of the plains.TU will be there. It doesn't get much worse than this!

So, from past recollection, there were some folks who booked places in advance and others who were waiting for the announcement. What's the consensus on the PJ packages vs. planning on your own? Trying to get my head around this so I have a game plan in place prior to pre-sale. I have to say I'm not too impressed with the lineup beyond QOTSA, so weighing all the factors...

If you analyze the hotel packages and do the math, it looks like the cost of the hotel per night is around $400. Tickets are reasonable, hotel package accommodations are not.ETA: Just got a hotel about a half-hour away for $200 per night. And it's refundable, so not sure yet what we'll do.

Question here for any 10C members? Do any of you not have a guest for your 2nd ticket yet (assuming you get it)? If not, would you consider letting me be that person with the knowledge that I wasn't 100% definitely going to make it?

I'm just trying to avoid shelling out $300 for these tickets on my CC and not being able to get anyone to pick them up with my ID in case I can't make it.

I know I'm asking a lot, but I figured I'd ask. If I were not able to make it, I would reimburse you for my share in the ultra rare case that you wouldn't be able to resale at the venue.

:thanks:

Possibly. I might have a group of 3 going, meaning we'd have one other ticket. PM me and I'll let you know by Monday at the latest obviously.

So, what's your gameplan fellas?

Going for the reserved? How long do you give it knowing the majority of people are doing the same thing?

Shark move just to take your lawns both nights? That lawn looks gigantic. Wonder if the 10C area on the lawn will be right behind the pavilion.

Lawn

Pavilion - around 7500 seats?

I'd be going for the reserved. Capacity is 37,000 overall; which is pretty damn huge. There's no way this thing sells out for 10c members alone; so worst case I think you'll be able to get lawn tickets later this afternoon after the reserved sell out

Some of the more interesting snips from the AET show:

Gates open at 11, show starts at noon.

3 stages total, 2 side stages that will alternate.

No re-entry

Will they be playing full sets both nights?

Yes.Not going to be limited to a "festival set"

Will there be an live stream of the show?

We're working on that. It's something that we having quite sorted out yet.

Put a percentage on this, is this going to be the long awaited Temple of the Dog reunion?

Hasn't that already happened a few times? Just show up and see what happens.

Ticket allocation, is there a set amount that 10C gets?

We don't have all the tickets for the pavillion, we have a lot. There is lots of stipulations, we get as many as we can get as always.

If any old drummers will play with the band during the festival?

I wouldn't be surprised, we nothing nothing more than you do.

Curfew at Alpine?

We have all that stuff worked out, the band is not going to have to cut anything short. The band is famous for paying for overtime if need be. Nobody is going to get mad if it keeps going.

Why one night in pavilion one in lawn?

Idea that we came up with, we basically want as many 10C to come as they can, 99% want to go both nights, we felt like this was a good way to get as many tickets, one night up in the pavilion one night right at the front of the lawn, front of the lawn is a killer spot.

How will the 10C fence work?

We'll know exactly how many people have tickets for the lawn and we'll take the area and we'll rope that area off that will be staffed that fence stays up through the entire support act then it gets taken down when PJ starts.

Will beer be cheap?

Beer will not be cheap, don't know how much, but it's not cheap.

Blankets on the lawn?

We have had blanket issues in the past.People burn them, we'll post that information.

They pay something like 15,000 extra per minute at MSG. Mike talked about it on the radio show when he was on a few weeks ago

I let my membership lapse because, well, they haven't played in Arizona in forever. What if you could get a responsible adult to split a package with you and vow on a stack of UCONN's books to keep you out of trouble and personally serenade you with every song they don't play that you wanted to hear? Surely she'd sign off on your going if BobbySac promised to keep you in line. :angel:When is this, BTW? Probably worth asking before thinking too seriously about this kind of thing.

If you buy them on your membership you have to pick them up at the venue yourself (or mail someone your ID and hope they don't really check). This is the quandry I'm in right now, as I'm pretty sure I can make it, but don't want to buy the tickets on my accoutn in the rare case that I can not. Might have a possible iron in the fire with BBWC; but if anyone else knows for sure that they are going but doesn't have that 2nd ticket spoken for yet....let me know!

TF - I might have one. We had 3 of 8 people cancel last night.

The problem is the 5th person is sorta on his own anyways...he lives in Chicago...so I'm not really sure what the deal is. He certainly will be trying for tix...but I don't think that effects the other 4 of us.

I'm trying for tix today on my account and my friends account who is working, and one of the others is trying for tix on his account. The other guy doesn't have 10C anymore.

Sorry I know this is confusing...so I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Thx. Keep me updated

Good luck to all! Looks like I'm out for now, but will keep track via the thread if there is a change and a spare is floating around.

FWIW, getting a white screen going to PJ.com, so guess that server upgrade may have been for naught:)

I'm in the Goods fine on my home laptop....linked through pj20.com though. Logged in and able to browse around Goods.

What worries me is I can't connect on my work laptop by any means...white screen as BBWC mentioned. Maybe my good connection isn't "real"....

If anyone is trying for these, let's post updates here so we can help each other out. We know the forums there will be crashed.
