They are supposed to annouce the winners of the ticket lottery today. Over/under on the time they actually get around to doing this? I realize I am probably in the minority lacking in willpower to be patient on finding out if I have tickets or not, but I'm also curious about how this is going to turn out. I'm going to be taking the results and putting some stock into the carryover effect to when the fall tour happens, meaning, if I get tickets, I will be excited about the tour, and if I don't, I'm not going to count on fan club tickets for the tour. The close the entries in a couple of hours, I don't imagine I will find out before 10 tonight if I have tickets.

Hey MCGARNICLESorry, your name was not drawn for a pair of Ten Club tickets. The credit card authorization will now be canceled releasing the funds back to the card, unless we manage to #### that up too. God, we suck so bad.For information on public sale tickets please visit http://pearljam.com/tour. Your feedback on this new system is very important to us. Kinda. Okay it's not, what do we care. When you have a moment please click this link, fill out the feedback form, and let your voice be heard. http://pearljam.com/feedbackBest Regards10c

Bummer.I won. Two lower level reserved tickets. So much for my prognostication abilities. Who else in in?

Hey Door Knob,Congratulations! Your name has been drawn for a pair of tickets to the following shows:DATE CITY PRICE/PAIR07/19/2013 Chicago, IL Standing GA Pit $168.00TOTAL $168.00Your credit card has been charged $168.00:excited:

I'm not at all surprised I didn't get tickets. They don't tour much anymore and just announced two dates, of course the demand is enormous. I live 800 miles from Chicago and was willing to make the trip and I'm sure they received entries from all over the country.I'm giving it one more year, then I think I might bail. I'm going to stay hopeful that I can snag tickets to one or two shows this year, and I'm prepared to travel since I live in the south where they rarely play anymore. Honestly though, if I get shut out again, what the hell am I paying dues for? At some point I may just say screw it, I've seen a lot of great shows all over the country and had great seats, thanks for the memories.

And the pitch! :)
:bag:ETA: I'm still waiting for the other dates to get announced. If there's nowhere good to go for multiple shows, I'll come to Wrigley and do my best to get some GA tix somehow
I'm just hoping for other dates too. They haven't been to Minneapolis/St. Paul in a long time. That would be nice. But I doubt it.

Got 4 sweet seats through the Cubs season ticket pre sale this morning. 10 club members have to be pissed at the great seats being saved for Cubs season tix and wrigleyville residents. I cant blame them...but don't mind taking advantage :-)

My wife framed 3 show posters and that little thing from the fan club this year for valentines day
one day when i'm filthy rich i'll get all my posters framed
I did some of mine on the cheap and they came out great. I bought some simple black metal 24x36 frames from Michaels and had them cut me some 24x34 sheets of matting in different colors that would go with the posters I was doing. Then simply laid the posters on the mats, eyeballed them so they were centered and framed them. They look great. Some of my more valued signed and numbered ones are framed professionally.

Obtaining the real estate to allow myself to build some sort of man land to put them all up is the problem

What's the roll call for Wrigley? Phish is playing there that same weekend...would be nice to catch both shows
I'm in.Also looks like I'll have an extra ticket if you, or any of the locals are having second thoughts about going.
Appreciate it! I'm not 100% just yet, I really want to see what they do with these other tour dates before I book flights and stuff. Also, need to get a read on how Phish tickets are going to work.

Standard festival set for Brazil. I'm starting to think this is what Wrigley is going to be like (perhaps a tad longer).

01. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
02. Why Go
03. Interstellar Overdrive-(Barrett, Mason, Waters, Wright)
04. Corduroy
05. Comatose

(Ed checks with the crowd to make sure they are all okay. He wishes them happy Easter in Portuguese and says, “This is a chocolate egg called Ole´”)

06. Olé
07. Do The Evolution (crowd sings along with Stone’s guitar)

(Ed starts playing “Wishlist” and says, “This is for April”)

08. Wishlist (crowd briefly sings verse melody during outro)
09. Got Some
10. Even Flow
11. Nothing Man
12. Insignificance

(During the guitar change the crowd sings “Olé Pearl Jam”)

13. Daughter/W.M.A
14. World Wide Suicide

(Ed apologizes for speaking in English but his Portuguese sounds like “####”. He mentions the band are in the middle of making a record and if the show had been anywhere else they probably wouldn’t have been able to make it. Since the shows were in South America and started here in Brazil they couldn’t say no. He thanks the crowd for coming out on a Sunday and asks them to help sing the next song.)

15. Jeremy
16. Unthought Known
17. State Of Love And Trust
18. Rearviewmirror

Encore Break 1

(Ed says he would like to raise a toast and begins toasting all the bands he can remember playing the festival as well as the audience.)

19. Given To Fly
20. Not For You/Modern Girl-(Sleater Kinney)

(Ed addresses the crowd in Portuguese.)

21. Better Man/Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling)
22. Black

(In Portuguese Ed talks about his friends the Ramones)

23. I Believe In Miracles -(Ramone, Ray)

(short round of “Hey Ho, Let’s Go” from the audience)

24. Go
25. Alive
26. Baba O’Riley-(Townshend)

(Ed wishes the crowd well. He thanks them for taking care of each other and for being one of the best audiences there is to play for)

So I have it on pretty good authority that PJ is playing the Friday night (Nov. 1) of Voodoo Fest here in New Orleans. For those who have never been to NOLA, it's probably one of if not the best times of year weather wise.

I assume that since PJ appears to be playing NO, that makes you out for Chicago, but I wanted to update you that I no longer have an extra ticket for Chicago.

Chicago peeps, where should I be looking to stay on Friday night? I'm just staying one night, and I assume the best plan of action is to take the L to the show, and not try to park close by. Is that correct?

Confirmed for Voodoo (no specific day announcement yet). Also NIN is one of the other headliners:

http://www.nola.com/voodoofest/index.ssf/2013/04/pearl_jam_nine_inch_nails_to_h.html

Pearl Jam and Nine Inch Nails are among the headliners for the 15th Voodoo Fest, aka the Voodoo Experience, in City Park this October. Other confirmed acts include Paramore, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Afrojack, Boys Noize, The Gaslight Anthem, Big Gigantic, How To Destroy Angels -- which also features Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor -- Cults, Alkaline Trio, Desaparecidos and Robert DeLong.

This will be the first Voodoo staged in City Park's new, permanent festival grounds.

Pearl Jam last performed in New Orleans at the 2010 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Guitarist Mike McCready has made several visits recently at events with his buddy Steve Gleason, the former Saints special team star who is now battling ALS.This will be Pearl Jam's Voodoo debut.

“New Orleans is one of the most musically and culturally rich cities in the world,” McCready said in a press release. “We've played some of our most memorable shows there and can't wait to return this November. I am personally looking forward to seeing my friends Steve and Michel Gleason.”

Nine Inch Nails is a Voodoo regular. The band performed at the free Voodoo staged two months after Hurricane Katrina, when much of the city was still deserted. Reznor, a former New Orleans resident, donated the band's services, and also performed at a Voodoo-in-exile in Memphis.

He is relaunching Nine Inch Nails, which has been on hiatus since 2009, with multiple festival appearances this fall.

“Recently I haven't spent nearly enough time in my favorite city in the world and I'm happy to announce I'm bringing Nine Inch Nails to New Orleans for Voodoo,” Reznor said in a Voodoo press release. says Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.

Almost 100% in for Voodoo (likely Thurs 10/31 to Mon 11/4)

TF: any hotel suggestions?

Yeah, taken from the Official New Orleans Thread. The festival is in city park which is "Mid City", which is a cool part of town; but not touristy by any means. I would recommend any of the following (there will be plenty of shuttles/transportation options to get to the fest). I would start French Quarter area first and then CBD. If you need anything specific, just post in either thread. FWIW, NFL schedule gets released tomorrow so if there's a home Saints game that Sunday, some of the good hotels could get snatched up quick. Awesome that you'll be there for Halloween night...sould be a freaking blast.

Hotels

Where you stay is primarily dependant on what your trip will consist of, budget, etc. There is no shortage of hotels in NOLA at all different prices.

French Quarter

• Bar none the best hotel IMO is the Royal Sonesta….located right on Bourbon St. and is pretty affordable (Depending on the time of year). I highly suggest if you are going for a bachelor party to see if you can swing a balcony room (make sure it faces Bourbon) for the weekend

• Tons of other hotels in the quarter, just post any deals you’re thinking about and the local here can answer some questions

CBD

• The CBD goes from Poydras St. to Canal Blvd. and are typically cheaper than the French quarter, in exchange for a few minutes longer walk. You’ll find multiple different hotels of all of your major hotel brands (Hilton, Marriot, Sheraton, etc) here

• The hotels on Canal are about a 5 minute walk closer to Bourbon St. than the ones on Poydras St.

• You’ll find Harrah’s spanning the entire city block from Poydras to Canal near the river

I may bring my wife to voodoo for her birthday weekend. TF, Im sure you will let us know when tickets go on sale.

Does the $2500 include tickets in that tent special

3 day tickets are already on sale ($175). They will go up in price eventually. Single days won't go on sale until Sept...last year they were $90, so I would assume they'll be $100 this year..so if you want to go at least 2 of the days, I'd buy the 3 day pass now. FWIW, if you decide not to go; you shouldn't have a problem recouping your $ selling the 3 day passes
