Team is a mess and RAJ saying he wants a quick rebuild or it wouldn't be fair to the fans. You know what isn't fair to us, this garbage.
Apart from Asche, does this team have one guy on the field who will be there in 3-4 years? And I like Asche but not sure he is an everyday 3B but he should get every opportunity. Figures, we finally get a decent bullpen and everything else falls apart.
A 2-4 year rebuild is better than perpetual .500 ball or worse.
That's reason #1 he should be fired, he doesn't see/get how long a MLB total re-build takes. I'd say a good/solid 5+ years. Nationals are a good example, terrible when we were good during the 08-11 run, but slowly accumulated pieces that are putting them into contention today.
That said, his misunderstanding of how a MLB ground-up rebuild works and how long it takes means to me that he will miss on moves that need to be made like pronto with the pieces we can still salvage off to get higher-end minor league prospects from contenders. This is, of course, to replace all of the higher end prospects we no longer have in our farm as a result of his trades.
