It was a monster. The Lawnboy jam into My Friend was super cool. Some good dirtiness in My Friend. Big jams in Gin and Stash. We are streaming it.How was that 5 song first set tonight? Saw Sample and that's it.
SET 1: Sample in a Jar, Lawn Boy > My Friend, My Friend, Stash, Bathtub Gin
Streaming tonight. Heading to MSG for Friday.going to watch the stream, anyone there tonight?

If you cannot appreciate a live phish show then thats on younothing really. My music friends are WAYYYYYY into it (the crew I am with tonight has seen at least 8 of the 10 so far).
I appreciate what that do, but it's never really grabbed me.
I am told seeing them live will finally let it grab me.
I suspect I will lie and tell them it did.
Don't lie. Just go in open minded and see what happens.nothing really. My music friends are WAYYYYYY into it (the crew I am with tonight has seen at least 8 of the 10 so far).
I appreciate what that do, but it's never really grabbed me.

Will it be something I return to? we shall see.
Pretty big show tonight. My money is on you returning for a future show. Unless Fluffhead doesn't do it for you.I will appreciate it, I am certain.
Will it be something I return to? we shall see.
I hope his mind is in defragment mode right now. On paper that show looks like the bomb.Last night's second set was incredible. Hopefully JTG is a convert.
agreed, the encore 'happy' was amazing, my gf needs to see it.Last night's second set was incredible. Hopefully JTG is a convert.
Not exactly the best encore song. Good thing is, that show was complete fire (I started listening at Jiboo), especially set 2, so I'd give it a pass. But maybe you like it there.why?
was each day sold out?237 unique songs during 13 shows at the Garden over 17 days. A feat that will never ever be matched unless the boys decide to do it again themselves. Just incredible.
yeswas each day sold out?
I don't know, maybe a few. It looked absolutely packed on the first Friday night. That Sunday there might have been a few empty seats but it wasn't noticeable. The 2 shows I went to there were no tickets for sale that I saw.I feel like there were handfuls of tickets available for the first few nights. At the very least, it was darned near sold out every night.
And the media and the general public know nothing about it. We hosted my two sisters in law plus a cousin and they hardly knew of the band. If I offered them a dozen donuts to name even one song, they couldn't do it between the three of them.

Have a friend pay $500 on stub hub to get 2 tickets behind the stage the last Friday night.
I think they covered 47 different bands/artists. I think I saw that stat...Freaking incredible.

Yeah, I was trying to think of other bands that could duplicate what they did and PJ and possible DMB were the only ones that came to mind (although I don't know nearly as much about DMB as I used to).@Tiger Fan
Here is how I'm putting it into perspective. I've seen Pearl Jam 27 times and that totals 181 unique songs (maybe a few more, depends on how you count certain things). Amazing what Phish did. And I fully expected them to.
Get this #### out of here.I think PJ shows are more "physically tolling" on the band vs. Phish
The BD got some media coverage, but fact is most people don't know who this band is and don't care. And the media and the general public know nothing about it. We hosted my two sisters in law plus a cousin and they hardly knew of the band. If I offered them a dozen donuts to name even one song, they couldn't do it between the three of them.
