I love this band

Phish is so underrated in the grand scheme of things.  If they pull of 13 shows of no repeats then they should be legends

How was that 5 song first set tonight?  Saw Sample and that's it.

SET 1: Sample in a Jar, Lawn Boy > My Friend, My Friend, Stash, Bathtub Gin

It was a monster. The Lawnboy jam into My Friend was super cool. Some good dirtiness in My Friend. Big jams in Gin and Stash. We are streaming it.

This band is unreal.

If they pull off this no repeat thing for 13 shows that would be crazy.  Best live band ever and its not even close.

Just made it back from Friday and Sunday Shows....took my wife to a Broadway show on Saturday night :wall:

Unbelievable time, such a fun experience.  I do think they'll pull off the no repeats... last night bought them some wiggle room.

Those whole run has just been nuts. I thought going into it that my expectations were set to high.  Each and every night they're doing something special.

For those headed to shows...I saw absolutely no tickets for sale pre show.  You could still buy a few at the box office, but overall there were none to be found in the lot.  I panicked and bought stub hub tickets a few days early.  That turned out to be a good deal.  Stubhub prices increased 48 hours prior to the show.

Wow did I misjudge the Ticket availability to this one... Figured 13 shows, I'd be down on the floor for a few...

Couldn't get anything for Saturday night under $300.... Wound up with Face Value for Sunday.

Trying for Friday but, looks like $250 or so... Thought I'd make 3-4 shows but, will be lucky to hit a 2nd. Unbelievable prices.

Sunday Show was Awesome!!!!     Also expected Donuts..... But, No.

So freaking pumped right now.

Heading to MSG for the final 3 shows, me and the wife's first time away since our son was born in March. Last show we did was NYE, obviously she was very pregnant at the time.

This whole BD thing has been amazing. The playing, the donut theme, guessing what covers we'll get each night, all of it.

God I love this band.

Wow....it will be great.  What are you unsure about???
nothing really. My music friends are WAYYYYYY into it (the crew I am with tonight has seen at least 8 of the 10 so far).

I appreciate what that do, but it's never really grabbed me.

I am told seeing them live will finally let it grab me.

I suspect I will lie and tell them it did.

Don't lie.  Just go in open minded and see what happens.

My buddy was the same way last summer and I posted about it in here.  He was floored...loved the show and atmosphere.  Not sure he's a converted super fan or anything, but he definitely wants to see them again when they roll through Blossom next time.

anyone have a link for tonight?  want to catch some later.

got one

the Chairman is on point tonight.

Really great run (although I have not yet had the chance to hear the final night.) To me, this is a landmark run not just because it was the Garden or because they did thirteen nights or even that they incredibly did not repeat a song. To me. this is one of those seminal moments for a band which will provide a snapshot of the band at this time while serving as a live discography of their entire history. Every album was heartily represented as was all of their un-released songs plus a mountain of covers. Every now and then, I get the question "What one song would you use to introduce someone to band xxxx" This run answers a question that no one asks: "Could you summarize the entire catalog of a band, and do it in way that shows how the band has re-interpreted their material at a specific point in time?"  YES--just listen to all thirteen nights. It is the totally Phishy twist on that cliched question of getting someone hooked on a band. You want to know what Phish is about? Just listen.

237 unique songs during 13 shows at the Garden over 17 days. A feat that will never ever be matched unless the boys decide to do it again themselves. Just incredible.

I feel like there were handfuls of tickets available for the first few nights. At the very least, it was darned near sold out every night.

And the media and the general public know nothing about it. We hosted my two sisters in law plus a cousin and they hardly knew of the band. If I offered them a dozen donuts to name even one song, they couldn't do it between the three of them.

I don't know, maybe a few.  It looked absolutely packed on the first Friday night.  That Sunday there might have been a few empty seats but it wasn't noticeable.  The 2 shows I went to there were no tickets for sale that I saw.

Have a friend pay $500 on stub hub to get 2 tickets behind the stage the last Friday night.

I think they covered 47 different bands/artists.  I think I saw that stat...Freaking incredible.

@Tiger Fan

Here is how I'm putting it into perspective.  I've seen Pearl Jam 27 times and that totals 181 unique songs (maybe a few more, depends on how you count certain things).  Amazing what Phish did.  And I fully expected them to.

Yeah, I was trying to think of other bands that could duplicate what they did and PJ and possible DMB were the only ones that came to mind (although I don't know nearly as much about DMB as I used to).

According to PJ stat tracker, PJ has 181 unique played 181 unique originals and 293 unique covers...so they definitely have the catalog to do so.  Just my opinion, but I think PJ shows are more "physically tolling" on the band vs. Phish - NOTE: this has is by no means meant to be disrespectful to Phish at all, so please don't take it that way Phans, so I'm not sure that PJ could hit the 13# in the same span as Phish.

The BD got some media coverage, but fact is most people don't know who this band is and don't care.
