**** Official Pro Bowl Draft Thread**** (1 Viewer)

would have been much better fantasy style. I get the impression Jerry Rice has no clue what hes doing here. Sanders team might destroy his.

Dumb.

Find a big $ sponsor.

Put the 30 and over guys on one team and the 29 and under guys on the other team.

Practice for 2 weeks after the Super Bowl.

Play it like a real game.

The sponsor pays a big donation to the charity of each player on the team that wins.

I don't even know if this stupidity has taken place yet or when it will, but what happens if two players from the same NFL team end up on opposite Pro Bowl teams?

What happens when Patrick Willis is faced with tackling Frank Gore? Should he really tackle him? What if he gets hurt? Why dampen the performance of a teammate?

Plenty of guys are flat out pissed off they got picked so late. I knew this was going to happen. Major egos involved here.

I would have much preferred they literally drew names out of a hat. Then no one can be upset because it's random. It's actually kind of an insult to these guys - I mean they're pro-bowlers. They're getting dissed.

A few quick ones I could see:

Robert Mathis will be rushing against Andrew Luck.

Patrick Peterson facing Larry Fitzgerald?

Tim Jennings going to light up Alshon Jeffery or Brandon Marshall?

Dontari Poe and Tamba Hali will be rushing against Alex Smith...

Derrick Johnson going up against Jamaal Charles...

Tried to watch the first segment of this on Tuesday evening for a bit. Quite possibly the worst thing ever broadcast on the NFL Network. The draft format was horrible. Deion and Rice were uninteresting. The Captains for the most part had nothing compelling to say, with the possilbe exception of Watt.

Horrid TV. Gave up after 15 minutes.

I had been intending to watch on Tues night but forgot, decided to try to remember to catch the rest last night. Forgot again and when girlfriend reminded me it was already an hour into the broadcast. I wish she wouldn't have reminded me. I think I managed about 10-15 mins before changing the channel.

eta: I too would welcome back a positional skills competition in lieu of a flag football game.

I haven't watched the Pro Bowl in a couple of years but don't they pretty much stand around on the lines and the QB just stands around and passes downfield? Why would you take any linemen high at all? Why wouldn't you just be hammering away at QB's, WR's, and guys to cover them in the secondary?

How many of these guys will be on the field at the same time as their teammate?

Seems many of these pairs are split between starting and coming in later.
