Homelander Cody is here to save the day peeps

Roman should've said Finally The Head of the Table is Back at Wrestlemania!!!! Acknowledge me."

I used to love playing Tag Team Wrestling on the NES. It was easy to control and fun. Similar to Kung Fu in those ways. Anyway, carry on.

Oof. Lmao. Got lucky I guess and backed out of buying the c0ck for the show at the last minute. Just wanted to see Roman go down. A smart $10 saved. WWE ended up overthinking this one. Half the Cody buzz is ginna be gone now, as they try to extend this for another what, 4 months til SS.

Just like at Clash of Castle they had a white hot Crowd for Drew. They could've at least taken one of the belts off Roman that night for Drew. After that the momentum went to ****.

This is the most epic title run of the last century. It doesn't end on the first try. Bunch of whiners got worked tonight.

There's only so much they can milk it for at this point though. Tonight was the night to end his reign. Let Roman go on hiatus with his family for a bit and come back after a few months off.

I’m not sure where this goes now. It could be that the Usos get cast out of the bloodline (lost their titles, they get blamed for KO and Sami attacking Roman etc) and this all ends with Jey taking the titles.

I was really hoping for Cody to get screwed over by an ironic Dusty Finish but alas.

Drew shoulda won...Mania would've been worse.
Zayn shoulda win...Mania would've been worse.
Roman on top lifts the entire product. The chase is what matters. Let's see Cody go to work instead of cutting the line with #30 in the Rumble.

Anyone who watched tonight wouldn't "believe" Cody could win without nefarious means. He hit every move possible, including the Figure 4 (attributed to Dusty rather than Ric despite the obvious "Whoo!") and the Dusty Jabs and whirlwind Fists, and his own moves. And Roman kicked out of all of it. They shot their wad and wasted it.

Not to mention Shane's 55 year old rubber-band acl blowing up.

Solo from most of the reports is being pushed big so maybe he turns. Who knows maybe Roman has some sort of Title match on RAW tomorrow and they screw him there. Here's hoping we aren't waiting till The SummerSlam for a title change at this point. I think if it last that long Roman isn't back till at least Next march.

Was that legit I missed part of that segment. I saw Shane come out and the match start. Turned away and I look back and Shane is on his ***

Yeah. Spaghetti knee blew up. Legit. Miz didn't know what to do. Snoop saved it.

Since the ME ended Wrestling time line I've seen

Now what do they do that's the 3rd momentum they overthought From Sami to Cody to Drew now what

Typical WWE this is why I stopped watching it awhile back

They must be hoping some small Chance Rock makes it to SummerSlam to take the titles

Maybe the sale has something to do with the decision

WWE can't milk this angle forever they will lose fans eventually who will get disinterested

Who's going to dethrone him now? Brock/Lashley is too stale, BRON BREKKER? Maybe Walter?

Also Hunter confirmed during Press conference Shane tore his quad.

I know you like the guy but this isn't anything against Roman himself. It's WWE booking or lack there of at this point. People are getting agitated at this point. They over thought this for a 3rd time in the last 6 months

Yeah I turned around and turned back and Shane was on the ground. Wasn't sure if it was part of the angle or what.

Personal match rankings, by tier:
Usos vs Sami/KO

Charlotte vs Rhea Ripley
GUNTHER vs Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes
Dominik Mysterio vs Rey Mysterio
Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul

Bianca Belair vs Asuka
Men's Tag Team Showcase
Brock Lesnar vs Omos

Team Becky vs Team Bayley
Edge vs Finn Balor
Austin Theory vs John Cena
Women's Tag Team Showcase

Honestly, there wasn't an offensive match on the card. The Miz impromptu stuff was completely unnecessary imo.

Very very good WrestleMania

The enduring image of this weekend is Sami Zayn in the opposing corner from Jey Uso, hair blowing in the light breeze, soaking in the crowd before hitting the third and final Helluva Kick.

Art.

Agree it was a very good Mania.

Goonther was my favorite match. KO/Sami vs Usos was awesome as well.

Edge/Balor was my least personal favorite (thought it sucked from the lame not really the "Brood" Edge entrance to finish). I didn't watch the "Women's showcase" at all.

I'd have had LA Knight (who undeniably is one of the over acts in WWE right now and would have blown the roof off the place tonight) instead of Shane McMahon. That was LA Knight's spot.

I heard that "YEAH!" chants were all over the Indie crowds this weekend. Ya boy is over!

Guess I can put off watching night 2 of WM now. So freaking dumb to not put the belt on Cody. Now we get to watch Roman mow down guys for another 3 years because they can't build any credible challengers for him.
Even if Cody somehow wins it in the future, he has no credibility because you Lex Luger'd him last night.

I thought the Cody/Roman match was perfect. And I'm going to bet that Cody thought so as well.

Cody grew up watching his Dad tell amazing stories as the guy who was chasing. "But what about Cody's WrestleMania moment...." The dude had 80K plus signing his song while half a million in pryo went off, then had a special moment with his family and then Brodie Huber. Not every "moment" has to be a win at the end. Cody still beats Roman IMO, just not today.

The Bloodline has been the most interesting story for a year being a dominant faction. Now, now the real drama begins. There are cracks. There are losses. There is your proud Tribal Chief watching his tribe crumble around him. Who can step up? Who can he trust?

From a non-kayfabe business position, remember we are still needing to fill some big barns over the next few PLEs. You need Roman the champ for those shows. Let him lose to Cody at SS and go away, and you spend the months after that building up to the next WM without him.

Drew was so credible, he "should have won." Zayn was so credible, he "should have won." Cody was so credible, he "should have won." They'll be fine.

How I would stupidly book The Bloodline from here until SummerSlam:
  • Backlash - The Bloodline (Roman, Jey, Jimmy and Solo) vs. Cody, Sami, KO and secret partner Bad Bunny - Lean into being in PR and have a fun as balls popcorn tag match. Will take 20 mins just to get everyone to the ring, Roman lifting belts, KO and Sami lifting belts and then just go for 30 mins. Bad Bunny gets the pin over Jimmy or Jey continuing the story that the Usos as a team just don't have it anymore. Not a great day for the Bloodline. Everyone is pointing fingers.
  • King and Queen Of The Ring - With no Sami most likely, I main event with Roman and Solo vs. Cody and KO. Cody gets a pin over Roman to show he can. Also, the Usos lose to the Street Profits in a number one contender match for the Tag Titles. Roman doesn't even have time for the brothers, goes deeper into isolation with only the Wiseman.
  • Money In The Bank - The goal for the last two PLEs was for Roman to main event without defending the title. He finally has to do so, here in England, in a Fatal Four Way against Cody, Sheamus and Drew. Yes, feeding into the UK crowd here. Would be tempted to put Gunther in this spot if he doesn't have the IC title for some reason. Roman gets constantly gang-up on the entire match, until the rest of the Bloodline comes out, makes the save, Roman gets the win and they have their ones up at the end of the night. Cody especially looks defeated.
  • SummerSlam - Cody comes out after MITB and says enough with The Bloodline interference. If Roman is really a man, he will face Cody at SS in a Hell In A Cell match. During the match we need two things: all of the Bloodline on the outside unable to provide support, and lots of blood. Needs to be brutal with both men busted up, with Cody finally getting the pin.
