Yota Tsuji has suggested that if Naito wins the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18 from SANADA, he should split the title back into the Heavyweight and Intercontinental. Then, if Tsuji win the IWGP UK Heavyweight Championship, he will vacate the that belt and challenge for the IC title.
 
Pwinsider: “To say that morale among WWE employees has been decimated would be an understatement.”

They were told that it has been a sad morning for some returning to the offices today, as they come across empty desks while knowing their co-workers wouldn’t be coming back after a 100 layoffs late last week.

WWE will need a lot of heavy lifting in the days ahead as divisions are smaller than they were a few days ago.

Khan noted in an email that the layoffs were done.

Some in WWE noted this "wouldn't have happened" under Stephanie McMahon's watch as the one in charge, but that’s hard to say. McMahon worked hard to build morale and instill pride among those working for the company last year as co-CEO with Khan.
 
BREAKING NEWS: WWE has announced that they've come to an agreement to bring SmackDown back to the USA Network starting in October 2024. This agreement will run for 5 years. Today's press release does not mention RAW or NXT. There are currently conflicting reports between the Hollywood Reporter and Sports Business journal on whether they will remain on NBCU Networks. As of now all RAW and NXT will remain on the USA Network until late 2024.
 
God Mox is such a pro

On Observer Radio, Bryan says Mox didn't get hurt on either of the two end-of-match Fenix Driver.

He got rocked on the Fenix dive off of the stage before the match began and as the match went on, he started to not feel good and called the audible himself to have Fenix beat him.

Bryan points out that you can literally see Mox telling ref Rick Knox to count and then when he doesn't count 3 the first time you can see Mox scream "F you" at him.

PWInsider: There are already early plans in AEW to return to Arthur Ashe in 2024 with the working idea of the Stadium being a PPV site!

They had a little over 11,000 in attendance tonight at Grand Slam 3. The walkup sales were the highest day of ticket sales in AEW's history.

Well I did it - I graduated from WWE.

I know a lot of people think my career really took a downturn once Mr. Levesque took over, but, in actuality, my per match fee skyrocketed through the roof.

Other promoters, get ready to back the brinks truck up.

WWE on Hulu is coming to an end.

WWE content on Hulu now has an expiration tag for shows noting that the episodes will be removed on September 25 or 26.

When asked about the expiration tag on social media, Hulu Support replied, "Hulu here! Our streaming rights to WWE content are currently set to expire, but we'll certainly share your interest in seeing them stay in our library with our team. For now, we suggest adding the shows in your My Stuff to be notified of any updates!"
 
AXIOS reports that Vince McMahon is hinting that he wants out of the family business, according to regulatory filings tied to WWE's recent merger with the UFC.

The new combined entity, TKO, has registered all of McMahon's shares for sale, thus enabling him to avoid the lockup period that applies to other TKO stockholders like Endeavor and Silver Lake. McMahon currently holds around 28.84 million TKO shares, which was valued at $3 billion as of yesterday's market close.

On first glance, this simply seems to be about giving McMahon flexibility. Or maybe even giving TKO flexibility, given the ongoing investigation. Particularly given that the subsequent registration statement was filed last week.

But that same filing says that McMahon, alongside two other TKO executives, "will be selling stockholders in this offering." That's a definite verb tense, penned by lawyers who are paid a lot of money to be accurate.
 
Recently released WWE Superstars Mace and Mansoor took to Twitch to air out some stuff about their backstage life in WWE

They say there was once an incident that led to Matt Riddle slapping GUNTHER and Gunther doing nothing about it.

Mansoor wasn't on NXT TV because he wasn't allowed to lose due to the Saudi deal.

LA Knight hated them and threatened to quit.

Vince loved the MMM gimmick and helped them rehearse

Mansoor said Miz is the nicest guy, Mace said it's Cody

Both agree Miz is very well respected vet.

Both admit that Retribution was just antifa

Said Vince is a nice guy

Seth doesn't hang out with any other talent.

Gargano is a funny dude

Kevin Owens is cool

Sami is kind of annoying but harmless.

Said Jeff Jarrett was the nicest legend in WWE

Vince was incredibly nice to them was would joke around during pre-tapes.

AJ Styles is really cool and only really talks atbout video games and Georgia Football

Jason Jordan is their favorite agent

Micheal Cole is a pro and speaks with talents and takes note as what they want him to get over.

PWInsider reports Sami Callihan will be departing IMPACT Wrestling.

While still amicable, the 2 sides have not yet agreed to terms for a new deal, at least for now. He’ll be a free agent 10/1.

There is already interest from multiple companies, not just as a talent but in other roles.

Some news on Riddle I heard. His days were numbered as he still has heat with UFC owned by Endeavor who own both now. Riddle has had issues since coming to WWE. Most witeness accounts said he was plastered at the airport. Some wanted him gone long before teaming with Orton. They say his behavior is eradic and unpredictable. Has been sent to rehab twice by WWE. Backstage fights with numerious talent. The whole Brock situation awhile back didn’t help him and many thought he was disrespectful to Brock. He also slapped Gunther which was confirmed by the models. Gunther didn’t do anything because Gunther “didn’t want to waste his time on something so embarrassing”.

It is ironic how endeavor employs a sexual harassed in Vince to Run WWE and a domestic abuser in Adana White for UFC though.
 
If true it’s huge but unlike Vince and WWE they won’t squash it

HUGE NEWS: It’s being heavily rumored on Reddit that the ending of a chapter for a “new era” to begin for AEW this Sunday is possibly TK buying New Japan Pro Wrestling. Now mind you it’s just a *rumor*.

For what it’s worth, this came from one strong reliable source when it comes to wrestling in the past & present.

It feels likely that this could quite possibly be true because Mariah May (Stardoms favorite star) is possibly making her AEW debut this Sunday at WrestleDream. Osprey calling out Danielson recently. And Eddie Kingston putting the NJPW Strong title on the line against Katsuyori Shibata.
 
BREAKING NEWS: The newely crowned ROH World Champion & NJPW Strong Champion - the “Mad King” Eddie Kingston has signed a new 4 year contract/deal to remain with All Elite Wrestling.

I know her parents are toxic or whatever, but I enjoy seeing her really putting in the work at something she is passionate about. She could have just been "the Bailey Fan" and ridden that for her 15 minutes within the industry.

I agree. The fact she always gets on Busted Open and chats with Bully means she got a few connections, IMO. She’s also working on the X, cutting promos and advancing story lines.

The feud for 2030: Izzy vs. Bailey. You could rerun the Trish-Mickie James line with Izzy being Mickie albeit without the lesbian overtones.
