As of today. MJF officially becomes the longest reigning AEW World Champion in company history.

He won the title 347 days ago on November 19, 2022.

AEW has announced a “Lucha Del Dia De Los Muertos” match between El Hijo del Vikingo, Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander for this Friday’s AEW “Rampage”.

No chatter about Khan bringing Ric Flair, the sexual predator, in as a "gift" to Sting? What a joke.
This really was a swerve that no one was asking for and is not needed. I want Sting to go out getting all the flowers, I don't need Natch stealing any of the limelight. Flair probably needed the paycheck and Sting did a solid and got him a couple of appearance fees.

To be fair, I watched all the youtubes and saw the wrestling tweets with Flair/Sting sentiments. It's real for us NWA/TBS/WCW old school marks, dammit!

I got misty.

Ric Flair has signed a multi-year deal with AEW

Variety has also learned exclusively that Flair’s Wooooo! Energy will become the exclusive energy drink of the professional wrestling promotion. Under the deal, during AEW show dates, select host venues will carry the drink at concession stands. It will also be stocked in the wrestlers’ locker rooms and will also be seen on the announcers’ desk during live broadcasts.

In an interview with Variety, Flair said that he has known AEW boss Tony Khan for nearly a decade, which made discussing such a deal easy.

“I just reached out to Tony,” Flair said. “Then Tony got back to me and he said he’d be interested in that. And I wasn’t selling myself. I was just selling energy drinks…And then Tony was thinking about Sting’s retirement and asked if I wanted to be a part of it.”

Flair then made his first ever appearance for AEW on the Oct. 25 episode of “Dynamite,” joining Sting, Tony Schiavone, and Darby Allin in the ring to discuss Sting’s upcoming retirement from wrestling.

“I can’t put it into words,” Flair said of that night. “It was huge. I was nervous until I walked through the curtain, and then I went out like, ‘Here I go. It’s where I belong.'”

“[Tony Khan] doesn’t get tired and he never loses composure. He’s just as nice as can be and, boy, he’s got the respect of that locker room, I can tell you that,” Flair said. “And not from being pushy, just from being totally calm.”

When it comes to any future plans with AEW, Flair says the company can give him a call at any time and he will be there. “I like going the night before if I can so I can have a couple of drinks with the guys but yeah, it’s my life. It’s what I love doing,” he said.

“I can still talk better than anybody. They’ll find out if they turn me loose,” he added with a laugh. “I’m dying to go one on one with MJF, man. It would get a rating too. ‘Let’s talk, young man.'”

So WWE despite the bloodline storyline couldn’t hit their numbers on fox

Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch says WWE's audience was the reason why they didn't make a return on their investment.

This is why they didn't renew their deal with WWE:

"We were not hitting the advertising numbers due to the audience of the WWE for our return on investment to be above the levels that we would accept. But also, we didn’t attribute enough significant retransmission revenue to the WWE either.

So it made sense for us to move on from them. They've been a great partner for many years but quite simply we're very very disciplined on our ROI didn't meet our predisciplined parameters. So we wished them luck and moved on"

The Saudi government will pay WWE over $50m for today's “Crown Jewel”, the price for each event that's part of their 10-year deal. The $50m number is equivalent to 3 Wrestlemania’s worth of ticket sales.

Just a reminder that the government of Saudi Arabia continues to punish critics, including Muhammad al-Ghamdi, who was sentenced to death for peaceful tweets that were slightly critical of the government.

WWE's Gunther is not allowed to leave United Stated for next six months due to strict residency regulations.

This means he will not be able to compete at WWE’s “Elimination Chamber” PLE this February in Australia.

Tonight was the last appearance on the calender for John Cena in this brief chapter of his WWE career.

Cena said on WWE’s “The Bump” last week that he had to get special permission from SAG to have this run.

Better Wrestling Experience claims CM Punk was recently scheduled for a call with a few WWE board members. The backstage feeling is that he is returning soon but does not mean a deal is done.

It is now November 6th in Japan, which marks the 212th day of SANADA's IWGP World Heavyweight Championship reign, making him the longest-reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in company history. He has now surpassed Shingo Takagi's 211-day reign, which ended on January 4th, 2022 at WK 16.

The original plan was for Bryan Danielson to challenge Kazuchika Okada in person at NJPW “Power Struggle”, but Bryan couldn’t make it, due to his orbital injury.

This past weekend, Samoa Joe became the longest reigning ROH World Television Champion of all-time.

He currently stands at 568 days and counting.

He’ll defend his title against Keith Lee on Wednesday.

Paul vs. Rey was my favorite match of the day. Logan Paul is exactly what the WWE needs. The guy just gets it in a way not seen since Kurt Angle.

Only complaint over an above average PLE, and it's a small one, I love watching Seth Rollins wrestle. One of my favorite things. But can we move past the whole "bad back" thing? Guy hasn't lost a singles match since January, I think the back is going to hold up. It's just played out at this point.

Apparently NWA may have put their new TV deal with The CW in jeopardy. Haus of Wrestling reports that the cocaine spot of James Mitchell with gymps and strippers upset some higher ups at The CW.

HoW adds that the spot was Billy Corgan's idea and that he pushed for it to be on the NWA Samhain PPV. They add that as of now, there is a push to have NWA content be exclusive to the CW app and not on network television. Corgon was told that the network wouldn't be watching the PPV as they were only interested in what happened on the TV episode.

After the spot on PPV, The CWs social media was flooded with comments about the spot and now there's an apparent 90% chance that Powerrr will now only air on the CW app. Also, one of the selling points for the NWA reality show was his recent wedding would be a part of It and it's something he's excited to air.

Corgan is an odd one. There's a HUGE market wanting to watch Billy Corgan's wedding. Believes he's always the smartest guy in the room. When it comes to music......sure. Wrestling....not so much.

Their current product is absolute dog sheet. Their Powerrr episodes are about as bland and boring as wrestling can be nowadays. Completely unwatchable. Weird 5 second video game like entrances and no crowd visible at any points. He's literally taken away (arguably) two of the top aspects of wrestling television. REVOLUTIONARY!!!! Have no idea how any network would watch their current product and say "We need that on our network".

I have a feeling these talks were happening during writer's strike with CW desperate for content (they've been buying shows from elsewhere to air). Now that writer's strike is over, they probably just wanted out from airing NWA. Wouldn't be surprised if things completely fall apart and they no longer air NWA on their app either.

Pre-COVID I was a huge fan of their product. Has went off a cliff since then.

Roman Reigns (Joe Anoa'i) and Malakai Black (Tom Budgen) will reportedly star in a movie called "Action Force - The Divide". Filming in 2024, the movie will be based off the Action Force figures from the 1980s. The movie is currently in pre-production.

This came from a report from Pwinsider who said source said she’d be at PC later this month. Giulia has a contract with Stardom/NJPW through March. If true WWE could be seen as tampering again

According to Dave Meltzer on his forum:

"Giulia is under contract through March. While under contract she can't go to the PC without Bushiroad's approval I was told and her schedule is booked solid in Japan until going to San Jose in January."

As far as March goes, she has the same three options as everyone whose contract expires does."

“The part about her (Giulia) going to the (WWE) Performance Center, I’ve had people deny that. We’ll find out, but I was told that her schedule is booked for the rest of the year.

She is coming to the United States in January for the show in San Jose, but she’s under contract and, unless Bushiroad gives the okay and I don’t know why they would, she wouldn’t really be allowed to do a WWE tryout right now.

I asked at WWE and they also told me the same thing, they told me that was not happening but they’re very interested in her.”

Looks like NXT is heading to the CW.

@WONF4W Report: WWE NXT close to new TV deal with The CW

Sounds like the CW-NWA "deal" is now dead. As much as I liked their product at a time, Corgan comes across as a smug know-it-all little ***** in every interview I've seen. It's easy to see why he's difficult to do business with. To me, he's far and away the most unlikable "wrestling head" in the business right now.

It wouldn't be surprising to me if Corgan threw a hissy fit over losing CW deal (due to a cocaine spot that HE pushed for BTW....but you'll never hear him taking accountability for).....and ceased NWA operations. It's just a terrible terrible weekly product right now.

Corgan needs to just sell to Tony Khan at this point. Completely wipe the roster clean and mix in the better talent with ROH. Have EC3 show up on Dynamite or whatever with the 10 lbs of Gold and get it in the mix with all the other belts. Keep the belt history, just get it in front of people to see it defended.

The finish for last night's number one contenders match on RAW was apparently botched

Dave Meltzer notes Ricochet was not supposed to kick out of the Ivar moonsault and it was supposed to be a simultaneous double pin with Miz pinning Bronson Reed.

Meltzer believes Ricochet was rocked earlier in the match when his head hit the mat.

PWInsider reports the CW Network and WWE have been in deep discussions about NXT shifting from its current home on the USA Network when the brand's current media rights deal ends in Sept 2024.

The belief among some spoken with is the deal is VERY close to being completed with the deal expected to be around 5 years in length.

Once signed, it would easily be the biggest increase for WWE NXT media rights fees ever.

‘There is still no word on the future of Raw, which has aired on USA Network for most of its 30 year history. It’s expected to move to a new home next year as well.’

9 years ago today, Kenny Omega was unveiled as the newest member of Bullet Club at “Power Struggle”.
