Was thinking of suggesting this as a board contest, but ran out of time as usual :kicksrock:

But still have to once again embarrass myself by making some horrible projections here. If that sounds boring, wait until you see the picks!

Link To Last Year. Too Embarrrassed to link to '08 picks :bag:

6-Tennessee 10-6

Wow, I was nice to you in the last year's thread. I actually like this years picks better. Either that or I'm too tired right now. I think you may have the Giants a little too low, but other than that....

Thx :pickle:The Giants (and really the whole NFC East) is one of the toughest cases out there. It'll be interesting to see if they can things back together again after how badly they stumbled at the end of last year. They don't have the easiest of schedules.-QG

I don't disagree with you on the Jets but I would be interested to hear your reasoning on that one. Almost everyone everywhere has them at least making the AFC championship game.

I think they are attracting a Super Bowl-like effort from every opponent they meet without actually having been there. There's also been a loss of key leaders from that team. There's definitely questions with the offense and I'm not 100% sold that they'll be able to open it up enough yet with where Sanchez is at in terms of his development. They have a pretty tough schedule as well. A little more on the Giants - I get the sense that Coughlin could possibly lose that bunch at any time - maybe his act has warn thin. It's odd to think of the Giants as a team where effort is an issue but based on the end of last year and part of the preseason it seems like that me the case. The team I'm most likely to be dead wrong about is Baltimore. It wouldn't surprise me that much if they turned around and won 14 games or so but there's some tough ones on their schedule too.San Francisco and San Diego are as much products of their divisions (and the that those divisions play each other as anything). If San Francisco doesn't step forward it's conceivable that we can have our first 7-9 division champion.I can't believe I picked 10/12 teams to return to the playoffs - that's a bit of an upset in itself (I nearly had Atlanta replace Minnesota). Carolina probably has the widest variance of any team in the league. Could be 7-9. Could be 2-14. Could be 10-6 if they jell and young guys step up.It's boring but if there's a team to literally come out of nowhere to steal a spot it's Oakland. More because Jamarcus was that bad - I mean Gradkowski even looked good running that team and while Campbell is no great shakes, he's better than Gradkowski. The other other team I could be dead wrong about is the Lions. If there were a team to go from outhouse to playoffs this year it could be them - that offense is dangerous and if Suh is the real deal then they might be able to pull out some shootouts and get on a roll.As for my Bengals, this offseason was about as "go for broke" as possible - at least in Mike Brown terms. The receiving corps is way upgrading - heck they got two guys that actually can catch the ball now in Owens and Gresham (compared to Coles and Coats who looked like they were trying out for an NBA center postiion half the time). The corners are deep and strong. The key will be the ability to generate pash rush (which I think they will - Atkins particularly has looked good in camp) and protect the quarterback (which I'm a little more unsure of, but they've been at least doing the job in preseason). I think Carson will play better - he's a bit healthier and certainly a lot happier with his options.Anybody else want to dare to make picks? -QG

Overall, your predictions look solid except for the NFC East. I don't see Philly winning 10 games and I can't see the Giants only winning 6 games. They are at least a .500 team, probably 9-7. Giving the Bucs 4 wins is being optimistic, I don't see them winning more than two games. They are that bad.

I think he was right when he said the NFC East is so hard to predict each team is relying on unknown players to make a difference or have a bounce back year besides Dallas who should win the division by two game which kills me to even write. The Eagles have Kolb who we know very little about and a very young a new defense. The Giants are trying to run it again but Jacobs looks done and Bradshaw worries you because of injuries plus you have to wonder if the defense can bounce back. The Skins have McNabb and Shanny which should alone add 3 wins but Haynesworth is a huge distraction and I'm not sure if the players around McNabb are good enough.

Let's see how I did.

Let's see 6 teams in the playoffs out of 12. 2 correct division winners out of 8. 1 correct wild card out of 4. 4 teams out of 32 in the right finishing place in their division. (That is hard to do.) 2 teams with their exact record.

Somehow, my Super Bowl pick is actually intact. If I were a Colts or Packers fan I would exactly be booking flights to Dallas just yet...

:bag: :lmao:

Humorously Philly getting exactly 10 wins was one of the two team records I got exactly right (4-12 Buffalo was the other).-QG
