Official re-draft pick 11 (of 12) thread - post strategies and roster once drafted (1 Viewer)

I have to seriously consider going WR/WR in a PPR.

In mocks, I'm often finding that I could end up with any of the following 2: OBJ, Hopkins, Julio, Keenan or Thomas.   Thinking about Fournette and Hunt are usually there as well.

Of those 5, how do you all rank them?  I love Keenan and he is a PPR machine.  Excluding TD's (and OBJ due to injury) they are all top 10 in all categories although the difference with Hopkins is TD's.

Thoughts on going WR/WR if something like can be pulled off? and then who do you target for RB at the 3/4 turn?

11 is a good spot.  I'd target Keenan there, I don't see Thomas in that tier.  But if you can get Keenan at 2.02 in ppr, that's great there.

See how the draft falls.  If Hop is there at 11 I'd be all over that and take him right away.  If Hop and OBJ are gone, I'd take Fournette/Hunt/Gordon and aim for Keenan at the 2.02.   But if you get Hop and Keenan, that's great too.  You definitely need 1 wr out of those two spots.

I have pick 8 in my big money league but this is just a general comment. After doing 5 satellite drafts it has become readily apparent that the talent at RB dries up soooo fast this year. I was convinced I was gonna go WR/RB to start and even toyed with WR/WR but this is with knowing that I have Kamara and Henry as keepers so I am ahead of the curve already at RB. Remove my keepers and I would 100% go RB/RB at the turn. I would shoot for some combo of Gordon/Cook/Hunt/Fournette/CMC. Even the rookies I initially thought I could get after Round 5 are now creeping into the early 4th, end of the 3rd.

I haven't done any real drafts but I've found the same thing. Early on in drafts I was taking Hopkins/OBJ/Jones at 10 and still getting a RB @ 15. Now if I don't take the RB first, my top guy is either CMC or Freeman.

Ok the middle of a slow draft ATM.  League went RB heavy so far so I zigged and am chasing upside RBs late. .5/1/1.5 PPR

1.11 Hopkins - yes please

2.02 Gronk

3.11 TY -

4.02 Baldwin

5.11 Ingram

The problem with going WR, WR to start is that your choices in round 3 and 4 are very sketchy for RB. On the other hand, there are solid choices for WR even past these rounds. I'm warming up to Drake and if you have a plan you could take Ingram in the 5th. I don't love the others.....Maybe Freeman...Maybe Lewis.

Going RB, RB is very doable and I would do that if I love the RB's. If not, I like the balance of RB, WR and being able to go in multiple directions in round 3 and 4.

If you can manage the RB position until Ingram comes back your team could be amazing. Lynch, Crowel, Jamal Williams, P Barber seem to be decent targets...Chris Carson and Jonathan Williams later.

This is the same argument made every year about RB.  I am already behind the pack at RB I did much rather give myself an advantage at the other positions than take a tier three guy and Chase at WR as well.  If I get four set it and forget it guys at WR it gives me the option of carrying 7-9 RBs to try and hit.

I would agree with this back a few years ago when you could count on the top receivers to ball out for sure. It's not that way anymore.  You just don't have the consistent dominate performances anymore. The problem with grabbing a bunch of RB's and hoping they hit is that it puts you into more situations where you may make coaching errors by putting the wrong guy's in your line up.

If you feel confident in your RB scouting then this strategy can work.

My coaching abilities suck.  It is more of playing a waiting game for guys to emerge out of committee or step in not injured starters.
