We need a thread to talk biz, share ideas and utilize the collective brainpower of the FFA for our own monetary gain. Tell us about your business, the challenges you face and your plans for the future.
I run a web marketing company. We work primarily with small businesses and offer a few different services. Our web design service is comprehensive, it includes design, copy writing, on-site search engine optimization, hosting for both the website and email, and ongoing updates and maintenance. Our clients pay for the initial design and then a recurring monthly charge once their site is launched.
We also offer an off site search engine optimization program. It involves things like creating profiles on Yelp, Yahoo Local, Merchant Circle and creating a Youtube channel, Facebook fan page and working with them to generate client testimonials on google places and other review sites.
The other service we offer is ad words management. We create the campaigns, ads and landing pages and provide ongoing management.
The best part about the business is the recurring revenue stream. We have a great retention rate and get a lot of referral business. The biggest challenge is the cost to acquire new business. We offer our service at a fairly low cost, which helps us achieve volume but means growth can be choked until our recurring revenue stream can catch up.
