Davies was good the first half, but he has absolutey destroyed the US offensive momentum in the second. Terrible decisions.

Regardless of how this finishes, this is the most heart and most chemistry from a USMNT lineup I've seen in years. They should be proud of this, and Bradley should keep this as the lineup for the Gold Cup, WCQ, etc. Add in Jones and Bradley, of course.

half the lineup isn't on the Gold Cup roster...Bradley is resting them.

Forgot about that...MLS and Euro clubs get them back.Doesn't change my opinion though. I am really, really impressed with this lineup.

Great experience for the US...particularly for the young guys like Davies, Altidore and Bradley.

We'll be a more prepared team in 2010.

Thank God. It would be a shame to see Brazil lose this game. They have simply dominated this half.
[usausausa] Commie. [/usausausa]dang it :banned: very hard to feel too down though. Brazil are the best in the world and we gave them all they could handle today. Things are looking a little brighter for 2010. By the way, one thing that should help us next year is the fact that this will essentially be a cold weather World Cup. After all it is winter down there right now.*sigh*-QG

what we learned from this tourney...

1) Davies and Altidore are terribly inconsisten, but their flashes of brilliance make it hard to keep them off the field

2) Dempsey still has it when he wants it

3) LD is a GREAT international player

4) Howard is an elite keep

5) Demerit should be able to contribute in 2010.

6) spector solidified his starter spot

7) Bradley refuses to give Adu time

8) we can win without winning the posession battle

9) Gooch is still solid, when he wants to be, has trouble with small/quick teams, ie CostaRica/Brazil.
