I checked the schedule last night and they have the Bayern game on tomorrow on ESPN Classic (which is not HD, but I'll take it). I'll record it and watch but will most likely know the result by then. I've got good reason to be a big Bayern fan now so hope they can pull an upset or at least get an away goal, despite their injuries and recent troubles in the Bundesliga. I read yesterday that Barca has given up more goals than any other quarterfinalist, and Bayern has by far the best goal differential in the CL (I assume), so at the very least we can expect some goals in that game.
I'm taking a long, late lunch today to watch Chelsea-Liverpool with a co-worker who is a huge Liverpool fan. John Arne Riise won't be there to rescue the Blue this year, but neither will Louis Garcia. A 1-1 would be great, but I would happily take an 0-0. Expect to see Essien or Obi-wan blanket Gerrard. Terry is playing with a yellow so Torres is a huge concern. I believe Ricky is back today and will play, which is a big relief if true. I expect Hiddink to do a bit of attacking early, then settle in and play for a counter or an 0-0.
