I would have gone stronger, but I think an in form(and not at left back) Beasley is pretty good. However, he hasn't really gotten significant time with Rangers over the past two seasons and it shows.

Well.. that was not so good. Our outside backs are getting abused. DMB's first touch was left in Scotland for this game. Attrocious. Some of it is the turf and a lot of it is just bad. Too much space in the attacking 3rd for CR. Not enough commitment to defend from the US. No hard fouls that I have seen. Hardly any attack at all has been mustered. Our shape in the back has been completely lost. I know it is tough to communicate there but there has been coverage at all.

On the bright side.. Torres has looked very comfortable with his play. Jozy has had a moment. Michael Bradley is playing tough and working but he can't get it done alone in the midfield. He needs help.

Geez.. I don't even know where to go with subs for the 2nd half. This puts much more pressure on the US for the Honduras match Saturday.

Ther is a shot here but Costa Rica is going to hunker down here on their home turf and make it awful difficult.

Lots of love for Dempsey, I see. I hope he gets to come in as a sub in the 2nd half- they could really use him.Some good stuff as you say- LD and Bradley doing their thing ok, but the spacing looks wrong on both sides of the ball. I hate to harp on this- but Ching would bring the US a much different look up front- he'll never turn and beat anybody, but he does a better job getting his MFs involved. Jozy doesn't quite know where he needs to be... but I like his touch and willingness to go at players.Wynne looks in over his head and DMB looks... a lot. That number 11 for CR is good- 9 too. But they just can'[t be allowed to roam around and run by guys without someboyd getting stuck in.

I would ask where the defense was on that goal, but I know the answer. They were standing around watching the Tico player dribble around Bradley when there were THREE players that easily could have stepped in to help.
