Yeah, I don't get the hatred. I'll root against the Azzurri but Rossi is living out his boyhood dream. He's clearly eligible to play for either country; there are no naturalization shenanigans going on. It's US Soccer's problem to develop a better forward, not Rossi's.

Those guys' fathers were American soldiers that were stationed over there because they were serving their country. Rossi's family left Italy by choice, but when the time came to pick a country, he just went with the better team. The kid learned to play in Italy and I have no problem with him making that choice. But if you're gonna play for Italy, be Italian. The "I'm an American who just happens to play soccer for Italy because they're better" #### is lame.That being said, I would never wish an injury on the guy. However, its not like I'm broken up about it. He's still a mutli-millionaire and he'll heal. I absolutely took plenty of joy when he was cut from the world cup team.
Big Grant Wahl fan here, and I'm sure this would actually do a lot to increase the global audience. While I love that the best team over the course of the season is the eventual champion and I think it's the fairest way to settle things - I mean, what's more fair than playing every team twice, once home, once away - it can be somewhat anticlimactic.
The playoffs aren't to decide the league title, though....they're for 3rd-place. I guess placement doesn't really matter because making the EPL is all that counts, but the top finisher in the league technically wins the title (for whatever that's worth).ETA - I know you already know this, but I'm just saying....it's not quite the same.

Playoffs in the EPL could go towards Europe qualifying in the same way they do towards promotion in the Chip.

He is their leading scorer, but I don't know that he's a big enough name for that. I would suggest a jersey without a name or number on it. When I look at their current squad the only name that stands out to me is Cacau.
If he's moving to Stuttgart, why not get him a USA jersey? The will be no shortage of VfB stuff readily available to him when he gets there. BTW - Great city imo and a great football club.
It can be anticlimactic, but more often than not (imo) leads to an exciting final few weeks. Holy cow what a game!
So far, this Arsenal team is better overall than last year's despite losing Cesc and Nasri because they just play mentally tougher. Everyone is always talking about defense, and certainly that's valid, but the problem for me last year was simply that they weren't tough. ManU routinely finds ways to get stoppage time equalizers and winners, even when they're playing badly. That's a direct reflection of Ferguson's mentality imprinted on his club.

They put down a tarp for the snow and then they had bull dowzers cleaning off the snow. On two passes, the bull dowzers bared down and scraped up the field. Considering how much snow there was, it could have been much worse.
Marquez and Junihno both got red cards. I really hope this is Marquez's last game in the league. They may have a tough time moving him but I still hope an MFL club will take him off Red Bulls hands. He is such a bad influenced and his skills no longer should command that much money.
