How does a an EPL team not have a jersey ready with a number on it?

It's like my beer league

How did Belgium develop so many good players in such a short period of time? Every time I look up a player I like he seems to be from Belgium.

That's what Everton needs to start the season. They have had horrific starts and great finishes the past few seasons. If we can pick up some points in the 1st ten games that we missed out on last year, I like our chances of playing European football next year.

Today's win breaks an 0-4 streak of openers for Everton.

Well deserved win by Everton. Great game.
:goodposting: great end-to-end action and Everton deserved it. Arsenal could use a guy like Fellaini, a guy who's able to create a little for himself and wreak havoc in the box.
Always been a fan of Fellaini. Deceptively agile, and has great motor.Interesting factiod: "Fellaini was born to Moroccan parents from Tangier and brought up in Brussels. His father, Abdellatif, was a former goalkeeper for Raja Casablanca and Hassania Agadir who signed for Racing Mechelen but was unable to play as his former Moroccan club refused to release his paperwork. Instead of returning home, he opted to become a bus driver for STIB. He would later take early retirement to oversee his son's career." - per wikipedia

We've mentioned it in here, but damn- Belgium is looking at it's golden generation right now.
Their WC2014 group has Croatia, Serbia, Scotland, Macedonia and Wales. It's winnable but fraught with tough away games.

ooooh... Croatia and Serbia in the same group. those games are going to be nuts.But really- what I've seen of those teams (barring Macedonia, of which I know nussing) and of Belgium, it should be "easy". Ish.

They got one of the easier draws from Pot 1

Here are the latest beIN Sports rumors

* U-Verse and TWC are both said to be close to a deal with beIN, possibly with in a week or so

* Comcast has finally changed from their

My friend has Direct TV and they have GolTV, Fox Soccer, and bein in one package and all are in HD. I watched four games in a row on Sunday at his place. So throwing in the two games on ESPN, I watched 6 full games in HD in 3 days. I have watched extra games online at times to go along with those available on ESPN and sometimes Comcast Sports Net has Fox Soccer Plus Champions League games. However, I have a hard time watching too much soccer without great picture quality. The distance from the action the cameras need to be to capture the action needs HD more than almost any other major sport.So my problem lies in two areas. Currently, Comcast in my area has only GolTV in HD with Fox Soccer in SD. And if they get beIn soon, I have no clue if that will all be one package nor what will be available in HD. If all one package but FoxSoccer is still not in HD, I won't be watching much EPL and Champions League when I could catch La Liga, Serie A, and the Bundesliga in HD. So, my first problem is receiving an imperfect product when the better product should be available.

The other problem is the sanity of both me and my wife. If I can watch nearly every game in the top 5 European Leagues, Champions League, Brazil's league, South American Qualifying, MLS, various internationals, and then some all in HD, I might lose my mind. Throw in the American sports and particularly my NFL and college football obsessions, our DVR and my wonderful relationship might not survive.

is that a local variety? I noticed I have FoxSoccer in HD, and I haven't special ordered it.

It depends on your area. I still had it in SD also, but I switched to DirecTV. Glorious HD now.

I have Comcast, and they added HD before the summer, on 704 (not sure if it's the same everywhere)
I have Comcast but I still don't get FSC in HD :thumbdown:
Chicago here as well. If they added FSC in HD, I would have added that stupid package years ago.

Helsingborg is Bedoya's new team after moving from Rangers. He is available to play today.Bedoya scored in his debut last week for Helsingborg with a nice little bicycle kick from in close.

I have the most basic Time Warner HD package (like 60 channels) and I get Fox Soccer in HD. I don't get Fox Soccer Plus or GolTV at all, so I imagine that I won't get BeIn either. Those channels are available in some extra tier that I'm not going to pay for.

Spurs have tweeted that they've completed a transfer for Adebayor.
About time. They could have really used him against Newcastle.They finally got rid of Bassong as well (and apparently recouped their investment). It's too bad about him. He was great in 09/10 and then fell out of favor. Hopefully he does well for QPR.

I hear that Dawson might also be available which would be interesting. He's a very good player and leader, but he isn't fast enough to play that high line that AVB likes. They could easily keep him as a back-up, but if anybody loses a CB in the next week they may swoop in and grab him.

Dawson and Huddlestone have reported been listed. AVB and Arry couldn't be less alike but Spurs' habit of pushing moves to the deadline continues.

Less time to pay their wages. :excited:

Levy does that work and he has always been like that. It pisses me off sometimes, but considering were they finish with their budget it's hard to complain. Once they complete the new stadium maybe things will change.Edit: It looks like they got Adebayor for 5M and City is subsidizing 90K/week of his wages for the next two years so he fits in with Tottenham's top wage scale of 80K/week. That's quite a steal for someone of his quality. He certainly has issues, but he is worth far more than 5M and should easily see out his contract (after three years he will be 32).

My guess is that City was the one to fold as they try and bring in Llorente. I know he is a big Juve target, but I think City are going to nab him.

Bassong gone and Dawson is rumored to be right behind him. Levy was busy today.

Bassong -------> NorwichDawson --------> QPR

Jenas ---------> Sunderland

Rose ----------> Sunderland

I imagine if Huddlestone is really available he will be picked up as well. He's a great player who has just had a lot of injuries. Outside of Dawson it's all good news as none of these guys were going to get any time. Dawson is going to be a tough one to sell to a lot of Tottenham fans (Huddlestone as well if he is actually available).

Now, if we could only get someone to pick up Bentley.
