Now Berbatov to Fulham, while the Dempsey news has dried up.
Sources seem to believe that LFC are concentrating on Sturridge right now. :)
Hope it's more than a straight loan
Lots of crazy rumors as always but nothing confirmed for CFC yet today. I can't imagine they would lose Sturridge without signing a CF first.
They Schürrle wouldn't do that

Remy from Marseilles now trending slightly over Schurrle. Germans are far too orderly with their transfer deadline.

I read Owen to Celtic

Also, it appears Moutinho deal with Spurs is going to fall through, as they are unable to come to terms.

City targeting another CB - Fiorentina's Nastajic

Jon Carter:

BREAKING: Liverpool have made a move to sign Clint Dempsey. Discussions are ongoing and it's the move the American wants. Not Villa, who are also trying to sign him.

DEADLINE DAY RUMOURS: Arsene Wenger found sobbing in a garage as he tries to build a new Thierry Henry out of feathers and ghee.
Complete silence so far from the Gunners. Maybe they'll make a late splash. About 6 hours to go I think. Just spoke with my colleague - a Manchester native and lifelong City supporter - who confirms in typically dry British fashion that Maicon "will be useful as a backup."

Dale Johnson: The story of Michael Essien moving to Arsenal on loan might just have legs.

It was pretty well expected that they'd be a seller today. Bendtner to Juve is almost done, Park Chu-Young loaned to Celta Vigo...not much else. Haven't heard much on the Essien or Dzeko fronts, aside from the comment from Charvik above. I heard earlier that M'Vila is all but confirmed to stay at Rennes - Spurs had a bid rejected and Arsenal never offered cause the asking price was too high. I respect Wenger for sticking to his guns, but it's tough to watch Spurs make all sorts of moves with that Modric money to improve their team while Arsenal - who haven't really impressed this season so far - are completely silent.

I like Maicon, but these signings by City just boggle my mind.Maicon is 31, and when he's on the field, he's a tough back to handle...but more often than not of late he's been injured. I guess with all the depth City have, that could be good for him to get some rest, but their defense was great last year, I just don't know why they want to constantly #### about with it
Maicon has lost a bunch of steps through the injuries and age. Still a great player, but nowhere near the dominant RB of a few years' back. As an Inter fan I thought I'd be sad to see this day happen- now, not so much.

well, rumor is £7m, which isn't that bad, but still too much IMO. not too thrilled about his attitude either, but I hope he proves me wrong.
He's 29 years old. He knows he has one "big" move left. He held out for it. Happens all the time.

Watchng Sky Sports coverage.

"Bendtner out at Arsenal. If you need proof, here it is"

He did? I thought he held out for Liverpool?

Totally couldn't see that one coming. GONGGGGGGG.

This is why I think it is a good move to go to a team where he won't be needed frequently.

What's that one sport where it's only played once a year, and it's basically like rugby in a stone hallway, and it almost always ends up in a draw? Surely someone knows what I'm talking about. Scotland or Ireland, IIRC.

Swansea adds Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez.

Sinclair & Allen out. Hernandez, Michu, de Guzman, Cuesta & Ki Sung-Yueng in.

The remodeling of the Swansea midfielder is very interesting.

I've seen that rumor but refuse to believe it. Benayoun or Malouda I could live with but Essien to Arsenal is sickening.

Rumors are starting now that Spurs are bidding for Dempsey. Not really what the fans were expecting today, but not too bad.

This sounds like something in Italy in one of the cities that they do once a year but I am blanking on it.Edit: this is what I was thinking ofhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPwu4_14QcU

Is there a weirder sport then Cricket?
My link
buzkashi is played with a headless goat carcass
In Qarajai, players must carry the carcass around a flag or marker at one end of the field, then throw it into a scoring circle (the "Circle of Justice") at the other end.
:lmao: :lmao:
Andy Carroll would be a perfect fit as the flag or marker

He kind of looks like a goat, come to think of it.

I wonder if Qarajai has an equivalent to tiki-taka.
The calf in a Buzkashi game is normally beheaded and disemboweled and has its limbs cut off at the knees. It is then soaked in cold water for 24 hours before play to toughen it. Occasionally sand is packed into the carcass to give it extra weight. Players may not strap the calf to their bodies or saddles. Though a goat is used when no calf is available, a calf is less likely to disintegrate during the game.
