Yeah, NBC is running a web app where you can answer questions and they'll pick a BPL team for you to root for. Alternatively, if you claim to already support a team, they'll run a quiz to test if you're a real fan. Picking Arsenal, the test was super easy. When I pretended to not have a team, the app picked Villa.

In any case, they'll try to post a Keep A Calm And Support Team X" ad on your Facebook if you let them. NBC's facebook marketing has been hit or miss. I did enjoy today's introduction of Social Media Yellow and Red Cards. So you can give a friend a Red Card for posting pictures of his dinner or something.

There have been a number of good articles on Michael Bradley in the last year, but this is my favorite, reprinted at Deadspin courtesy of Howler.

That is a long one. I'll have to get back to it. I was reading a different one the other day and the majority of the comments section was talking about how he will lose minutes this year. That he, De Rossi, Strootman, and Florenzi are all going for two spots and that Bradley is at the end of that line.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Guru?
Greg Seltzer, who runs no short corners, has said that Roma turned down an approach from Everton and that Rudy Garcia has fallen in love with Bradley because he covers more ground than the others in that list. I do think Roma's midfield will be a horses for courses type of situation. Florenzi is a pure attacking mid and isn't someone I expect to compete with Bradley (he seems to compete with Pjanic if Pjanic stays). Strootman is nominally the same type of box to box to guy, but he's tended to play forward of Bradley. Who knows with De Rossi. He's better than Bradley at his best, but he's been madly inconsistent the past two seasons.
Thanks. I thought it was weird that they even mentioned Florenzi when talking about Bradley's playing time. The problem with depth at Roma though is that they don't have any Euro game to play in to keep a rotation. They have the league and the Cup. Not as much playing time to go around. Really good to hear his new coach already likes him.

You guys should join the Euro Survivor contest. It's like an NFL survivor league, except you're out after three losses, not one. And you can pick a team each week from either Spain, Germany, Italy, England, or San Marino.

Forty bucks!

Luis Suarez looks like probably a renewal (extension) of the contract that binds him to Liverpool.

ATTENTION. Luis Suarez I confirmed that Liverpool will not go. The support of the fans in recent weeks influenced the decision.

Who knows, still nothing concrete..just a relatively reliable source. New contract to get in a firm release clause(Foreign teams only :bye: )no doubt. Then he can apologize to everyone when he signs it.

See him sticking his nose in here more and more.

NBC says I should cheer on Newcastle. If you refer to the über-list, I am indeed a Magpie fan. It's too bad they run that club like a state university fraternity.

Newcastle should be a much stronger club than it is. It's pretty unbelievable how much that ownership and management have held them back over the years.

Are you guys familiar with transfer betting? How reliable are the odds? For example, I saw that Manchester Uniteds odds of signing Willian ( ) just jumped to 5/2, same as Liverpool. Yet I havent seen anything in the news corroborating this. Are these more reliable than the tabloids, which at this point is filled with drivel? Or are they equally nonsensical?

I also see that Pepe is 1/8 to sign with City and that Ezequial Garay is 1/9 to sign with United.

More official now

Apparently, this helped nudge him

 I knew you'd be in here quick.

BTW, it's pretty tough to win the CL when you're not in the CL.

Actually, Suarez backed off those comments and said he never said he's returning to Liverpool when he was asked after Uruguay's friendly over Japan today. Doesn't seem to matter, I doubt he's getting sold. But 'Pool fans should calibrate their outrage/support accordingly. MIght want to follow #suarez on Twitter just to be sure you're up to date with whether he's a scumbag or just misunderstood.

Everton for a ManU fan. Said I'd like Everton because I'm a Texans fan. The correlation was that the Texans reside in the bigger named Cowboys (Liverpool) shadow despite being the better squad...
