Chelsea fighting hard to stay level with West Brom.

It's a bit nabobish, but I love seeing teams score against Chelsea.
nabobish? Yes, I think I agree. It was a sweet goal from the West Brommer.
I don't usually delight in teams' failures... but there's something about this Chelsea squad I just cant resist.

and how are they not taking care of West Brom at home? OGs, really?
The OG was actually the result of some brilliant work from Willian.

Great from Cesc as well on that OG. Oscar and Pedro were crap. Crap season.

Looks like DCU may be getting Vidic. Because what the team really needs is a CB with a chronic back issue when Birnbaum/Boswell is one of the team's few genuine strengths.
Looks like this may have just been a rumor

"One source confirmed the possibility that Vidic might be headed to MLS but one place he won't land is D.C. United. Both Inter and DCU have a common owner in Erick Thohir, and Vidic has been linked with the latter club in the past. But when D.C. United GM Dave Kasper was asked if the defender was someone the team had interest in, Kasper kept his response short and sweet. "No, he's not."

Yeah, this seems like something that Real can probably weather (but the DeGea screw up looms even larger now), but it could be lethal if Atletico continues to lose players.

Griezmann and Jimenez have to be on every big team's list. Man U is already sniffing around Saul.

Real and Atletico can appeal and have this summer to make moves, right?
Yes - maybe. They can appeal, depends on when the appeal is heard/decided. Given that Barca got two windows, seems unlikely an appeal will change the outcome - so it would be about timing.

I assume its probably best to have the ban go Winter ->Summer, than the other way around. With Winter->Summer you can make moves for year one in the preceding summer, and in year 2, you make the moves in the summer, and stash them until January.

If you try Summer->Winter - you have to plan for a full year with no reinforcements. But, it only impacts one season.

Given that it is difficult to get transfers done in January anyways, I think I'd rather stock up in one summer, and then buy to stash the next summer.

Chicago picked first, and chose Jack Harrison and traded Harrison immediately to NYCFC. Chicago received the 4th pick plus some allocation money for Harrison.

Philly had 3 of the first 6 picks including the 2nd and 3rd in which they used to pick two defenders both from Georgetown.

Coincidentally Harrison probably qualifies as a home-grown (or whatever the designation the FA/FIFA require is called) for using local players that Man City has to have as he was in ManU's academy.

United travel to Anfield this Sunday. Carrick and Schweinsteiger are out. Sadly that may mean another round of :fro: . Stats show that means a draw or loss. With Fellaini United is 2-4-5. Without they are 7-3-0 (w-d-l).

Could be quite the game, could be a return to boring.

Teams were offering 9-10m pounds for Austin back in September.

Christo- you should apply for a job in their front office.

I have to think QPR gambled that keeping Austin would give them a good chance of promotion or a PL team would be desperate enough to overpay in January. Doesn't look like that worked out. :oldunsure:

An Irish paper wrote yesterday that the Klopster has offered 8 million pounds for Shane Long. Saints paid over 12 last year to get him. Does that make sense to anybody? Especially in light that Pelle may be gone this summer? Not to mention if he really fits what Pool needs.
