I meant to mention yesterday... re Sane- at 21, yeah still young. every time I see him feels like he gets better and better. he has those speed/quickness intangibles, but he seems to be getting pep's system and his relationship with the rest of the team better... and still on a steep growth trajectory in terms of the rest of his game IMO. scary.Saw a stat that it is Pep's best start in his career. Pretty crazy.prefontaine said:Sane is young and I certainly wouldn't say he can't get better - especially from a consistency standpoint, but De Bruyne is right in his prime and seems to completely understand his role in Pep's system. If he can be better, the rest of the EPL might as well just shut shop for a few years.roadkill1292 said:Right now it just feels like nobody is keeping City off the board in a match. And we might not be at Peak DeBruyne and Peak Sane yet.
agree with pre... this is a group of young fantastic players; with all these guys at a high skill and athelticism level AND getting pep's full-field approach... scary. like barca- but without a messi... so less scary than that. somebody mentioned the defense- which I agree while very good, isn't tip-top.. so maybe a potential weak spot. but like barca, with the team defending like mad all over the field in numbers... the work done by the MF and F can hide some of those slight flaws.
