I punched out of Dexter after about 3 episodes, but the AV Club review of the finale that gave it an F piqued my interest.Good Posting Judge said:

This show sucks worse than the 75 dollar replacement Iphone 5 screen I got from the strip mall Iranian last week.
Upside, strip mall Iranian agreed to order me a legit replacement screen after v1.0 showed up with more rainbows than a San Fran parade and my MPD buddy who patrolls his beat stopped by to say "HI".
I hate that this show belly flopped. So much potential :(

Yup. It's downright nonsensical how Sutter is in a killfest this season. Every time someone dies, I think "oh, Sutter must have run out of an idea here, so he's filling with death".It's gotten worse.Seems like the same guilty pleasure brain candy I've come to expect over the last few seasons. My favorite part of this episode was having Davey Scatino and his son reunited as the members of the San Bernadino chapter who showed up at the beginning. He only drove the SUV on to the field to give some cheerleaders a ride to practice, there was no off-roading!
I can't believe they made us put up with all that crap with Toric, including him literally saying "whoops, sorry!" as he shot a hooker...only to kill him off at the end of the episode where they finally had a plot point that could become interesting. That being, Roosevelt realizing that he was setting up Nero. You'd think they could have done something good with that storyline.

I don't think he's done with the Toric storyline. It's going to be something that bites all parties in the #### this season.

Definitely gone down hill.
I do like a lot of the things Sutter does, but the problem now is that the show's just gotten so scattered. I get that the's trying to add all sorts of conflict for Jackie and the Boys from all different directions, but it just ends up taking away from the intensity.
Better to focus on a couple storylines and do them well than make a half-assed attempt at juggling a half dozen or so.

If by his storyline, you mean the attempt at bringing down SAMCRO, I agree. But I think it's going to be attempted to be done by the DA chick from The Shield. I meant more along the lines of his "anything goes" approach.
