I think he kept the driver alive in hopes that the driver would talk to the cops about the Salamancas.  He knows that they are still a problem and he hoped to get the law onto Hectors operation.

Jimmy hasn't sabotaged Chuck's career?  Did you not see the last two episodes?  

I read a comment elsewhere that summed it up well, which was that Jimmy is doing the wrong things for the right reasons, and Chuck is doing the right things for the wrong reasons.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said on Tuesday that agents seized 50.8 pounds of meth after stopping a 46-year-old woman from Dallas who they said was attempting to smuggle the load across the U.S.-Mexico border. The drugs were found after the woman’s 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was selected for a secondary exam when it arrived at the Paso Del Notre international crossing from Mexico.  

A sniffer dog named Tiran picked up on the scent of the narcotics in the rear area of the car. Agents discovered “anomalies in the appearance of the rear tires” after scanning the SUV with an X-ray system. Agents then found metal collars bolted to the wheels of the car that contained a dozen meth-filled packages.

My wife is really loving the show despite not having watched BB. I think the fact that she doesn't know what is going to happen to everyone is a factor.

Chuck stole the client Kim brought to the firm.  If Chuck had not done that, Jimmy wouldn't have done what he did.  It's pretty clear that Chuck did not support Jimmy during his time at the firm, even when Jimmy was trying to make it on the up and up.  Kim's tirade to Chuck was exactly right.  Chuck's true colors come out when he's not getting what he wants.  #### Chuck I hate that mother####er and really hope he's dead.

Action-Reaction. Jimmy is no saint by any stretch but he's reacting to Chuck's douchiness. In short...Chuck threw the first punch and despite all that Jimmy has tried for the most part to help Chuck.

If this were changed to "Jimmy is doing the wrong things for the right reasons, and Chuck is doing what he thinks are the right things for the wrong reasons." I'd agree. Specifically I'm thinking of everything he did to torpedo Jimmy's career after he passed the bar.  Chuck's response of course would be "You don't know my brother like I do blah blah blah." There is no justification IMO for Chuck's attempt to sabotage Jimmy's career at HHM. He's a egotistical dbag to the first degree.

Yep, and we can't forget that Jimmy's catered to Chuck's every whim with this bull#### medical issue Chuck has.  #### Chuck!

 
There was a ding in the diner Mike was sitting at and I half expected Hector to walk in.  

The last scene where Chuck hit his head was one of the best of the series.  You could tell Jimmy wanted to run in, which would blow his cover, and now we're left wondering if he's going to make the 911 call also potentially blowing his cover.  

The only thing I didnt quite get about the episode was how they got all that money to fit into the little valve stem on the tire where the air goes in.

Did you never see the 3rd grade science demonstration about getting a hard boiled egg into a milk bottle.  Its physics, and of course ball bearings.  These days its all about ball bearings.

No, you're not getting it.  He didn't blow it through the valve; that's physically impossible.

He had one of his henchmen tape it inside the tire wall before installing the tire onto the rim.  Now re-watch the video and you'll understand it better.

Wait, do they just glue the tire back together each time after they cut it off with a saw? Or do they just buy a new tire every time?

You seem angry. 

Chuck did not steal Kim's client; that client was the firm's.  Yes, Kim brought them in, but when she was a part of the firm, thus they are the firm's client, not hers. 

Chuck is no saint, but he is no worse than Jimmy, and that is the main point I am trying to make.

I think Chuck is mostly disturbed by what he sees is his brother's continued shortcuts in life.  Chuck likes to see himself as the ethical guy who always plays by the rules, while his brother is always taking shortcuts to get to where he is, and that bothers him.  Kind of like how he can't stand how easy it is for Jimmy to get people to like him because of his natural charm, something Chuck runs short on, and that makes him jealous.  I don't think he is an egotistical d-bag; I think he is someone who is letting his jealousy get the best of him.

Wow, great conversation per usual - the last couple of pages about the tires, riveting stuff guys... I can't shake the thought of how those tires become a crucial piece of the finale. Maybe Tuco has a magic machine that shrinks money? Could be world changing stuff ahead.

The most likely method is coating the money with a metallic spray and using magnets inside the tires to draw the money in through the stems.

Go rewatch the episode and pause it when Mike first starts sawz-alling the tires.  You can see the very edge of the wheels are clean and shiny.  That's a tale sign that they have someone installing these tires by hand.  I'm betting they have someone on the inside at NTB.

This show is all about the tiny details.  These guys leave no stone unturned.

Duh...cause that's where the Cartel hides all their guns. 

 
Chuck has a view of the law that is an honorable profession that has certain rules and manners that you follow. You can screw somebody over, but it has to be done ethically. That is why Jimmy, even though Chuck has seen that he can come up with some great legal ideas, can never fit in Chuck's world. Jimmy didn't go to the right type of law school, Jimmy doesn't recruit clients the way Chuck would, and he plays in the grey areas of the law in a very slimy way. Chuck feels that what Jimmy does demeans the honorable profession that Chuck has lived in his whole career.
