***Official Super Bowl LII Thread*** - Eagles vs Patriots (1 Viewer)

Incredible game.  All a fan can ask for without a rooting interest in the game.

I really want to know what Malcom Butler did not to play a snap that game.
he played special teams, but hey the GOAT who has lost 3 superbowls benched him at CB for Bademosi who cant cover me. 2 superbowl loses to eli and 1 to NICK FOLES....

Patriots are the first team in NFL history to put up 600 yards of offense and lose.

Patriots are also now tied for most franchise losses in the Super Bowl.

Brady first QB in NFL history to throw for 500 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs and lose a game - regular season or postseason

What Malcolm Butler a starter all season?
I can't imagine what happened that got Butler benched. It very well may have cost the Pats the Super Bowl. Odd move from one of the best coaches in NFL history. Has to be some juicy story there.

Did he pull a Eugene Robinson or something?

"Legarrette, I bet back when you were in college and you sucker punched that opposing player after the game... you never imagined you'd one day be a three-time Super Bowl champion, did you!?"

Very happy that we've had 14 or 15 great games in the last 20 Super Bowls. Late 80s and 90s there was maybe 1 good game in a decade

Show me an @Anarchy99 stat that indicated an Eagles’ win.
I'll have to dig it out but I know for sure that he indicated that the game was a virtual coin flip.  It was actually a very telling post to me because he will usually find any obscure stat that points to the Patriots favor.  I believe his stats actually slightly favored the Eagles.  I'll try to dig it up tomorrow for you.  It's somewhere in this thread.
