***OFFICIAL*** Supergirl thread - Now in CW's Arrowverse? (1 Viewer)

First episode is in the books. Overall, I think the series has potential. Writing was kind of #### in the pilot and the villains are a bit hokey, but the lead actress is freaking magnetic.

I'm in, and not just because Jeb Bush thinks the lead actress is hot.

Let's see some pictures of the lead actress so i can maybe watch this just to see her in some sort of tight outfit. TIA.

I thought it was ok. Its a watch with the family type show. I don't watch all too many shows that are family friendly, so this foots the bill.

We need to get some TWD viewers watching this show.

Last night they had the lead male in the show hanging from the metal line holding up an elevator. The line starts to fray. LMAO

What's a TWD viewer?

Anyway, we love this show. Melissa is an absolute doll, playing both personas. And hey . . . Martian Manhunter!!

Has this improved. First couple were god awful and I punted. And I watched Under The Dome until the bitter end, so you can imagine I don't punt on shows much.

TWD = The Walking Dead. We love to complain about inconsistencies/ludicrous activity in that thread.

Its kind of amusing. Some of the action is far-fetched to the point where my kids point out things which make no sense. For instance, SG is fighting with an ET and finally gets the upper hand but then she flies away. My kids are saying how stupid that is and she should finish the job. Kind of like the Austin Powers set-up where Dr. Evil develops a diabolical plan to kill Austin Powers (after capturing him) and Dr. Evil's son says, "screw that. Just give me a gun and I'll off him right now". Anyway, its a decent show to watch with the kids for family time.

Looking forward to seeing thisbon the cw. The Flash cross over was pretty good and there's nothing to stop more of that now.
Nope. Guessing that Supergirl somehow gets thrown into the Arrowverse somehow, even though her CBS show wasn't (I missed the Flash episode, but I think they explained how he jumped to an alternate universe). Supergirl will now be shot in Vancouver where the other shows will be, too, so I'm guessing a change is in order.

Not sure how you could move her to the Arrow/Flash's universe without losing the rest of the cast. Unless they do a Crisis-like storyline. Which would be weird. I am glad it's going to be on a network that will appreciate it more.

Fantastic move for the show, which should now be a viable property on the CW for years, without having to worry about satisfying the bean-counting nerds at CBS.

For anyone who watched the first few episodes and then bailed, you may want to catch up on demand (Hulu has it as does CBS All-Access, and I imagine that won't change).  The storylines got significantly tighter and better after about Episode 10 (of 20 total), and there were several standouts (including the Red Kryptonite episode "Falling," featuring Melissa Benoist getting to act sexy . . . mmmmmm . . . and the awesome Flash crossover "Worlds Finest," in which Barry and Kara demonstrated amazing chemistry and probably factored into the CW move, which was so obvious to begin with).  It also ended well with a concluding two-parter.  I try sometimes to imagine if I would be less interested in the show if it featured a less captivating lead actress - her performance this season was pitch-perfect and she showed awesome range in addition to being both cute and hot - but luckily I don't have to worry about that.

I was thrilled by the renewal and the move.
