And while I am sure he is helped by the edit, Joe does appear to be great at everything. I think he did defer to Terry to keep as low a profile as he can. He knows that when the merge to one tribe comes he has a potential target on him any week he does not win immunity. I don't think there is really a strategy for him to protect himself with how good he is in challenges, but we will see what he comes up with.
If I were him I'd make love to all of the women, make them my concubines. Together we would vote against all those who stood in my path to victory.
It worked well for Boston Rob.

Unfortunately for Joe, I think he has to win immunities after the merge to win this thing. He'll be the first one targeted by everyone else. But they better do it soon because the less people in the challenges the better chance he wins.

That was a fun episode.

I'll go ahead and say it. As much as I loathe Kass, she's doing the right thing by really changing her game. Ugh, I feel dirty just writing that out. :X

Glad (like others) that Jeremy is keeping the idol to himself. He seems like a person that will be able to continue to avoid the temptation to tell someone too.

We didn't talk about it last week, but I really hated the split to 3 tribes. WTF was the point??? It was really unfair to the new tribe to start over. I just don't get it.

It was funny to see the two old men whoop up on Jeremy, but I have to wonder if he held back on purpose. He was lolly gagging around the catapult like he didn't even care. Or was he really that exhausted that he couldn't hustle?
I LOVED the split to 3 tribes but agree 100% with the bold part.. Makes no sense to force one tribe "back to the stone age"..

Should have had a challenge of some sort with a "Let's make a deal" type choice for the winners..

Winning tribe choose Camp 1, Camp 2, or Camp 3.. with explanation on camp 3 being " could be stone age, or more items then the other two camps combined"..

Then 2nd place tribe chooses one of the 2 camps left, leaving the last camp for the last tribe..

Probst said the challenge guys were worried that 3 runs was too many and that the guys were legit exhausted. I can understand it. Wading through water is difficult and they're 10 days or so into little food and ####ty sleep.

Should have got rid of Kimmy. Waste of space and she eats to many clams. Monica did have a point about the clams moving and not having enough as the contest goes on. Kimmy is going to rid that ocean of clams.

that was great!
:goodposting: best part was, not only did Monica not know, but Spencer & Kelley were also
It was a blindside but I didn't get doing it now. How long before another merge? If they think Kelley will flop but Spencer might not, get rid of Kelley now and Monica next time or after the merge when she had helped you. Those 3 knew they couldn't trust her, so they could stay 3 while Monica doesn't realize it. I just think it was a bad decision to blindside her now. We'll see what happens.

 Monica showed her "true Colors" that she'd flip in a heart beat by telling Kimmie "let's go for girl power"..

They know they already have Spencer locked in at 4.. Kelly is a wild card, but there are other members from the original tribe still in the game..

So if they can get one of them to join up they will be a strong 5.

I understand, but Monica wasn't going to flip yet. Hide that you know it and a) Monica doesn't flip and you use her after the merge until you don't need her or b) you leave Kelley alive and she will add 1 more vote to your opponents. You know she is a snake in the grass and may flip, but Kelley will flip if she is still around at the merge. I am not saying you don't get rid of her at some point because she isn't 100% loyal, but I think it is a bad move to keep someone who is 0% loyal to you and could potentially come back to bite you later. If you already have Spencer to help get rid of Monica if you need to, why not get rid of the person who you know 100% will vote against you later.

ETA: I don't think Kelley is a wild card. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought they said a few times that she'd jump ship and wasn't with them. I get knowing Monica isn't 100% loyal, but I thought it was too soon. She was 100% on board that week and likely next week (where you could easily swap her for Spencer). Kelly wasn't.

Perhaps it was in the editing, but I don't get what was so bad about mentioning an all-girls alliance. Sounds to me like two people just talking and saying, why go with Wiggles, when we could go with Spencer and still have the option of all-girls later on.

Plus, Monica is waaay hotter than Kimmy and should have stuck around on principle.

So 3 weeks ago they split into three tribes....since then we have had the tribe who owned the numbers edge vote out one of their own rather than take out the stragglers. Predictable this show is not....

Agree 100%

Abi is awful. I know they need to string her along and play the game, but dealing with her must just be painful.

looks like something bad happens next week...

Great turnout for that vote.

IMO - Spencer and Wigglesworth might be the 2 most interesting/awesome people on the show (save for Jeremy)

Spencer just because he's such a gamer and balls out every challenge.

Wiggles for being an original cast member and being way hotter now 15 years later than she was back on S1.

Looks like someone gets bad news from home.
 Don't think it's a medical issue for one of the contestants because of the way it's presented, with Jeff coming in and tapping him/her on the shoulder.
I wasn't sure if there was enough to tell that, or if someone was just in the shelter feeling awful and not aware Probst had arrived. Could be either I guess.

Incredibly tempting to start checking the spoilers threads.
I just went and watched it again ( :bag: ) and agree with you that it could be either one.

Shark move. I often hold onto old Survivor episodes. They are important, like tax returns. You never know when you are going to need to go back and clarify something.

The lack of eye candy is so bad in this season. I mean Kelley is it and we never see her.....

I don't think they should have voted off Monica last night. She was good for one more vote. They should have taken out Kelly. then take out Monica. Because now you have a mixture of tribes that if there is a merge, you have lost one of your allies. It was a premature strike and not necessary.

Monica's comment was a long term statement and not a short term reality.

Wait til we get to see Kimmi in soggy diapers! :excited: But she may need more than 39 days to get there.

Wigglesworth is practically invisible out there.

Kimmy is annoying as hell. She screwed that up, IMO. All that preaching about keeping the original strong was probably to keep Monica in the dark, but that is how they should've played it (keep it strong).

 at Kieth copping a feel on Wentworth during the barrel challenge.

Tasha was almost in tears while talking about having to deal with Abi's insanity. She's a rock (Tasha), so that's pretty telling to me about just how crazy Abi is. It's not the editing. It's incredible how she can turn absolutely anything into it being about her. There's no way Woo was using that story to get sympathy points; he's not that slick.

As soon as the reward challenge started, I said to my wife that Kieth is going to win it for them. He's so :moneybag: with those sorts of challenges.

Best part was it was girl that ratted her out.

I always mean to hold on to the first episode to watch again after the finals, just for fun. I always mess up and delete it though.

Lack of eye candy, yeah. But I was happy with all the cleavage shots Tasha was giving us during her interviews. Nice mams on that one.

I'm okay with the lack of eye candy this year as there are several solid players in the game. I can't remember another season where I could pick out 7-8 players and see them deserving to win.

Im not going to read the thread today as Im behind, but based on the amount of posts, something must have went down the past two episodes.

Heard a producer from Survivor talking in an interview. Said the challenges usually take anywhere from 2-4 hours and then are edited down to 5-6 minutes. No wonder everyone looks so exhausted. Also said the challenges are actually quite boring when they are difficult and watching live because they take so long and there is no dramatic music playing in the background... and that Jeff adds in the "What are you doing??" or "Gotta pick it up" parts later... not during the actual challenge

That's crazy. It must be very difficult to deal with the boredom at camp then have to be 100% focused and intense for the challenges.

I've always wondered about that. There are times he says it at the absolute worst time (for the player), but nobody ever reacts. Makes sense that it's dubbed in afterwards.
