@Adam_Schefter

"Titans had 22nd waiver claim. 21 teams passed up Randy Moss. Now Tennessee better step up its post-practice lunch spread.

Tennessee hasn't played Houston yet. Houston has the NFL's 32nd-ranked pass defense. Advantage, Titans.

One place Randy Moss hoped to go was Tenn. He plans to report, happily. And @ChrisJohnson28 will be happy to have him. Stretches defenses.

Some saving grace for Minnesota: Vikings off the hook for balance of Randy Moss' $3.38 million contract. Look for Moss to shine in Tenn.

Here's who's footing the bill RT @adbrandt: Moss' $6.4M contract goes Pats-Vikings-Titans. Pats, Vikes = $1.5M each, Titans to pay $3.4M."

"He’s a vertical receiver stepping into an offense that looks to run the ball but does take shots down the field, so it’s a pretty decent fit. His presence will help open things up for RB Chris Johnson, and it definitely increases QB Vince Young’s value. Keep in mind the Titans have a very favorable schedule against the pass the rest of the way. Obviously, the addition of Moss is not good news for WR Kenny Britt, whose injury might have played a big role in their decision to bring Moss in, and Nate Washington."

Schefter thinks the Raiders and/or Dolphins may also put in a claim and they are both ahead of the Titans.

The New York Yankees have just signed Randy Moss. "Why the hell not?" says their front office.

I wonder if this means Kenny Britt is further from returning than most of us think he is?
Even if he were 100% healthy, the Titans would probably still have put in the claim. Britt has done well but there's nobody else there. As a CJ owner and Titans fan I'd love this. As long as Moss gets his head together, the defense has to actually think about him, leaving CJ more room. I'm getting ahead of myself here, but the thought is

Cmon Phins! Henne needs a boost!
If the Dolphins claim him, will he go? If so, which receiver gets a bump? Marshall? Fasano? Who takes a hit? Bess?Fasano might be a sneaky pick-up if Moss opens thing up underneath for him.

I think Oakland will for sure put in a claim, David. I think Al blames most of Randy's troubles on Norv. You know he has to be doing the Mr. Burns hand wring thinking about the speed of Heyward-Bey and Moss on the same field...

LOL...Just what Minny fans were saying a month and 3 losses ago.

The Titans are averaging 28 points scored a game. They were an elite offense BEFORE Moss.

Sure, but the scary thought for the day is VY is the better QB. At least for Moss I think he is right now.Plus, even if you argue with that, you can't argue against Fisher being the better coach than Chilly.

Per Adam Schefter on Twitter: Tennessee for Moss. Done.
As a CJ owner in two leagues :excited:
About Moss getting targets that would have gone to CJ or Moss being another viable option in the red zone?
About Moss keeping the safeties out of the box
ADP averaged 26.2 ppr ppg before the Moss acquisition. ADP averaged 19.1 ppr ppg after the Moss acquisition (21.5 ppr if you throw out the NYJ game because it was a tough matchup). So about those safeties out of the box????

Yardage and open field means a lot more with CJ than TD ops. Besides, do you really think having another elite player limits the best player in the NFL? His presence didn't hurt AD.
Actually it did...see above.

did Moss help Adrian Peterson?will he now help CJ?
AP numbers did not change much but he already had Farve. Farve > VY and where Britt was starting to go off he was yet at point where teams where game planing to stop him.

That more likely has to do with the turn over prone QB.
